The man leans forward, wiggling his nose and turning his ear toward Chan. He squints his eyes, a single eyebrow raising to make his face look mildly confused. “Sorry, repeat that?” he asks.
“Uhm,” this close Chan spots a mole at the tip of his nose, a sweet beauty mark at the end of its perfectly straight slope. The man wrinkles his nose again, sniffling. “W—would you like two shots of espresso?”
Chan has to hide it, but he’s mortified—the man is obviously smelling him, and Chan can’t believe the scent suppressant has betrayed him. A spray claiming to mask even the “stinkiest of alphas,” a product sworn by all service industry professionals should do the trick. Dear God, how bad is it this morning? He wishes he knew what he smelled like. Chan wonders if maybe he missed a spot back in the break room—

Soonyoung sits up and shuffles closer to Minghao. “So,” she begins, drawing the syllable out teasingly, “how are you going to seduce him? What’s the plan.” She looks far too excited for Minghao’s liking.
Minghao raises an eyebrow at her. “I’m going to sit him down during our date tonight and ask him if he does or does not want to sleep with me and why.”
“Damn, pragmatic as always, Hao-noona,” Chan says with a laugh at Soonyoung’s disappointed expression.
“Boring as always,” Soonyoung pouts.
Minghao reaches over and squeezes Soonyoung’s plush cheeks between her palms. “You don’t get to talk, unnie. I don’t know on which step of your plan to seduce Boo Seungkwan you’re currently on but the last update I got was that she told you’re the worst and the only reason she hasn’t strangled you yet is because she’s too pretty to go to jail.”
