Summary
The visit to Vax II was supposed to be a simple one. Interact with a new alien society, undergo lengthy diplomatic meetings for days on end, welcome the Vax into the Federation, and leave within under four days.
The fact that Spock now found himself sleeping next to his Captian proved that simplicity had not, in fact, been achieved.
---------
Vax have a slightly different view on relationships than both Humans and Vulcans, and so they falsely assume that Kirk and Spock are engaged in (their version of) a romantic relationship. Oh noooo what a shame. Surely this won't end with them actually getting together. Surely.
This isn't done yet!! I have no clue how to use ao3!! Sorry if this is horrible!!!

Summary
“I really am fine,” Jim says. It’s just a cold”
There’s an odd sticking sensation in Spock’s throat. His concerns are logical. Jim’s earlier statement was not entirely true – Jim is his, his captain and friend. He would see him in good health as consistently as possible for both personal and professional reasons. They face so many dangers, have been put into peril so many times. It is irrational to assign morals to the universe, but it seems unjust that this uneventful stretch of deep space between missions should be marred with a virus. Jim needs the rest.
“I would prefer you to be more than fine,” he says simply, condensing the tumult of his thoughts into one clear objective. “I will assist you.”
