Summary
When Pure Vanilla throws open the balcony doors and holds his staff aloft, the first thing he sees are the tree’s branches devoid of his feathered friends. It’s an unwelcome sight, a clear departure from their usual routine. Had something happened? Has someone drawn them away?
A flutter of movement draws his eyes upwards towards the roof; instantly, relief floods through Pure Vanilla’s jam. The flock is mercifully still here, perched above his head on a nearby rooftop. They are, however, strangely silent and still, huddled closely together while glancing between Pure Vanilla and the tree. Pure Vanilla follows their nervous gaze, peering into the branches as he holds his staff high –
Only to spy a long, lithe form curled in the shadows.

"Does the Golden Order give you comfort?" Rogier asks with quiet intensity. "When you kill them, those unlucky souls who were touched by Death and shunned by grace, does your belief shield you from regret? Oh, how I would like to have such rock-clad certainty! But D, I am soft, in the end. You pity the crabs for the monsters on their backs. But I pity the monsters, whom the whole world hates, because I know what it's like to be hated. D looks at him for a long time. He takes off his helm, tucking that impassive golden face beneath his arm.
"Yes," he says slowly, his voice clear and unfettered now. "I am beginning to see what kind of man you are."

Summary
If his eyes could glow, he'd most certainly sell them. Anyone would be a fool not to.
When his information and photo is put onto a black market website with a hefty sum for his head, it is Aventurine himself who takes on the task of infiltrating the market with the intent to either raze it to the ground, or turn it into something profitable for the IPC. Truly, the only entertaining element is that it is Veritas Ratio who must follow him through a swarm of hunters waiting to sink their claws deep into his throat.
