    Prima Nocta: The practice in which the King of the land will bed a bride to be on the eve of her wedding.
    Willingness was irrelevant which was an important factor considering no one really knew what the King looked like, he lives in legends. Rumors depicted him as a monster, a beast. He was unmatched in war and had the scars to prove it.
    The strangest part was that the women who left the castle and went on to be married remembered nothing of their night with him, which only added fuel to the rumors that he was inhuman.
    After a long campaign, the king returned to find only one bride, Stiles, and things get complicated very quickly.
