Rei licked the loneliness off of them and gave them a taste of something kinder than loneliness; not nostalgia, but a rousing—a rousing of—that homesickness.
eternally grief stricken kaoru finds a mermaid in the secluded lagoon and they have a really great time together. he still dreams of dying at sea but at least his queer struggles get resolved.

Summary
Kaoru showed up to the clubroom today, the one day he came, but no one was there. They could very well be outside by the fountain (or in the fountain, in Kanata’s case), but Kaoru found himself overwhelmed by curiosity before he could even leave the room. There was a large tank toward the back of the room, usually covered, but now the dark cover was askew, and Kaoru could barely see something moving inside.

A hazy smoke wisped around the innermost chamber of the apothecary den, tinting the air and filling it with the unmistakable aroma of rich, earthen spices. Dulling lanterns flickered as Ibara drew in a deep breath from a pipe and exhaled with an even deeper sigh, “there are times I think you purposefully push me oh so close to the precipice of ruining my legitimate business…Fufu, do you enjoy toying with me so?” His sapphire eyes glinted behind his teal-coloured lenses as the unmistakable sound of wooden sandals clacked against the floor.
“Should you really be criticising my work ethic when you're the one who owes me~♪” A whimsical chuckle followed as Hajime appeared, licking his lips at the sight of his Master lounging across their shared bedding.

Summary
Wataru is subdued. Beneath him the man is quiet, his only expression a tilt of his lips and a flutter in his eyelids. It’s stark enough contrast that Yuzuru wonders if this is yet another role or simply Truth under the mask. He doubts, in Wataru’s infinite incomprehensibles, that he will ever know.
