Gene brings his hands down to the counter, palms still up. It must be serious, Louise thinks. He hasn't touched his keyboard in thirty seconds and it's right in front of him. "All I can say is that I have something big to reveal, but I'm not coming out until I'm good and ready."

I love this series so much but I have a special place in my heart for this one. I love Louise being confronted with the fact that her and her siblings are all getting older; that realization that one day they will all have their own lives, but for now she still gets to keep Gene. The interactions between her and her siblings are perfect and there's so much heart and love poured into this it makes me cry a bit.
