Imagine if one day, you just woke up in the universe of Super smash brothers. The crossover video game filled with dozens of characters you adore, which you then find yourself diving into shenanigan after shenanigan.
Pff, sounds ridiculous, huh? Like some desperate teenager’s comfort fantasy, there’s no way anything like that could ever possibly happen to anyone in real life, right?

Kirby knew this as much, if not more than anyone else.
Ultimate was the most exciting, shocking, threatening, emotional, and just flat out chaotic experience he’d ever had. His life really was one crazy thing after another, wasn’t it?

Summary
Agent Nine's successfully gotten out of the Deepsea Metro. That's definitely more than can be said for any other sanitized octoling, let alone a splatoon fan who woke up one day to find themself in the midst of Octo Expansion as a sanitized octoling. The subway train has somewhat jumped tracks.
But there's still some lingering questions, and the hard issue of being a fish out of water trying to acclimate to society & the fact that they aren't entirely sure if they're stuck in a game or if they are in fact experiencing regular reality. Will they overcome their struggles to adjust to living in Inkopolis, or will they go back, to find answers?

This fic is… weird?
It’s an Isekai story with a sanitized octoling that’s different than the others, and hey look there’s worldbuilding hidden in here!It’s not bad by any means, but it does feel like something’s missing, especially towards the end. Like there were unspoken and unsolved mysteries that should’ve been resolved. Though I understand part of it is that this is technically the first fic of a series, so hopefully we’ll see where it goes from here.

Sure, the writing can get a bit wonky at points, and there is a bit of obvious peridot/lapis/lapidot favouritism here
But there’s always a weird catharsis with Peggy sue fics, especially when they actually DO THEIR JOB of fixing what went wrong instead of making new problems
