Chapter Text
“Would you like to talk about it?”
“There’s nothing to talk about Sir”
I can’t do this anymore.
“I’m afraid your superiors disagree. (y/n) would you mind at least looking at me while we talk?”
Biting your lip, you follow the doctors instructions, meeting his eyes, and trying to ignore the weight of everyone else’s stares in the room.
Doctor Erilic, was one of the nicer psychologists according to the office gossip, but you didn’t trust him. You didn’t trust anyone. You would never trust a doctor again…no matter the kind. He was also fairly handsome, warm eyes, slight speckled hair, if you had met him under different circumstances, then you were sure the two of you would hit it off. There was something in his eyes that told you he thought the same.
“What are you think about (y/n), talk to me,” He leaned forward in his chair, a reserved but small smile on his face. He had learned forward just enough for you to see the first he’d written about you - drifting .
Drifting….what did he mean by that? Your mind was drifting? Your soul? Or perhaps he meant you were zoning in and out of the conversation. It had to be one of your favorite words, it reminded you of the vastness that found yourself surrounded by.
“Lieutenant….you will answer the Doctor’s question. Understood?” A sharp voice cut you out of your thoughts. Wincing, you instantly straightened up.
“Yes General. I understand” You hated how quickly your mind sent you back to the cave, how firm yet gentle he was when he held you. Shaking your head, you squeeze your eyes and hands tight before addressing the doctor. You felt sick…wave after wave after wave of nausea came over you, making your head pound and throat dry.
“I’m not thinking about anything really”
He wouldn’t leave your mind…every time you closed your eyes, you were saw his eyes…how lifeless they were as they stared back.
“Lieutenant”
“General Hux, please, don’t intimidate her into talking. She’s not under interrogation…the point of group therapy is for you all to talk about the instance, you all show something very traum-“
I can’t do this anymore (y/n)
“She is lying. She has been constantly replaying his death in her mind since it occurred.” a textured voice came and talked over the Doctors. All eyes went to the man in all black, the infamous Kylo Ren. He sat at a distance from everyone else, but his helmet/visor was pointed directly at you.
“Of course you’ve been digging in her mind, no doubt looking for her perverted thoughts” the general scoffed, rolling his eyes.
“I’m no more perverted than you general ” it wasn’t hard to tell that there was some sort of sexual innuendo with that. Before General Hux could make a retort, the doctor intervened.
“Both of you please, we’re getting off track. Now General Hux, if you wouldn’t mind lifting your sleeve?”
A new kind of tension came in the room as the General stared Erilic down with an intense fury…you’d only seen that stare when he was going through it with Lord Ren, and once with you.
“Doctor….you’re treading on thin ice…” he warned, but lifted one of his sleeves nonetheless. There, a stark contrast to his milky skin, were little but deep crescent moon imprints.
“…Lord Ren, would you mind doing the same?” The Sith Lord said nothing, but did roll up his sleeve, after a couple minutes passing, there on his skin were deep teeth marks.
All eyes were back on you as Erilic turned to you, reaching out a hand.
“Before I anything, I want you to know that what you did was completely normal and for your safety. You are safe here ok?” He squeezes your hand, it reminds you a bit of your mother, “Now will you tell me everything you remember from the mission? I have to know so you’re clear for duty”
“…. And then I can go?”
“If I and your superiors see you fit…then yes”
Fighting down the nausea, you open meet his eyes.
His eyes wouldn’t leave your mind
“ It was a simple get in - get out mission, me and fellow Lieutenant Corial along with a squadron of troopers were assigned with aiding General Hux and Lord Ren. It was a planet on the outer rim…Lord Ren and General Hux were seeking an old piece of republic information, if my memory stands correct..”
If there was one thing that you were confident in, it was in the fact that your mind had enough scars to never heal, and never quiet down.
