Chapter 1 Home
A train arrives into the station and the trio exit out onto the station with Evan being first and grabs a newspaper while Mike looks at all the signs and Chris just stretches his arms.
“So is there anything in that paper that could help us or are you just looking for fun?” Even turns towards his cousin with a smile plastered into his face. “Just checking to see if we made the news” A look of curiosity comes out “Did we?” The smile then leaves his face. “Sadly no, we got put in a theory section alongside what might be a male rider which in all honesty would be cool to see”
Sigh “Guess it makes sense, we only just got out and with everyone scattering as far as they could go it would be hard for any news team to have substantial info” he then turns around and checks the maps one more time while Evan walks up to Chris still holding the paper. “Man I never thought reading the paper would help anyone but it’s definitely come in handy” Chris then gets a close up of the paper for a sec before it gets pulled back “Look it even has the latest info on the top hero rankings, though the only interesting bits are the number three and lower sense the top two spots haven’t changed” he closes the paper as he sees Mike come up to them.
“Alright I was able to get a map and looks like it’s practically the same as we remember” smiles appear on the boys faces as they begin walking towards the exit. “Well then guess we just have to take the usual route back home and bam were reunited with are family” Chris gets his hair ruffled by Even as he walks by “And we get to see if any new shops opened up while we were gone, I definitely remember there being some work being done before all of… that” the three stay silent as they walk out of the subway and see all of the buildings, signs and people walking about. “Feels good to be back in good old Shinjuku, right guys?” The others stay silent but small smirks appear on their faces as they begin walking. “Yeah I guess you're right, let’s just hurry, don't wanna keep anyone waiting and we know how hectic Kabukichō gets at night” Evan nods while Chris just continues walking.
Looking around, the three noticed that the area hasn’t changed much from before except for a couple of new shops or old ones getting new signs. “Honestly you think we should just use are magic to get there faster” Chris just looks at Mike who looks unimpressed. “Yeah sure cause using magic in the middle of broad daylight in the middle of a public area is such a smart idea” a smile then presented itself on Evan face. “Ahh are saying you're scared of some police that won’t even be able to catch us” Mike remains unchanged. “Alright then how about if we promise to be extremely careful? Besides this is great way to practice with the changes they did to us”
Mike looks at him for a moment before sighing. “Fine but were being careful and you two better not leave me behind” smiles appear as the three go into an alley, climb a fire escape and begin using their abilities to jump from rooftop to rooftop.
Timeskip
With the sun heading down the three stop at a building and climb down the fire escape and heading towards the front but stop at the entrance. “So this is it huh, do we just go in?” The other two look at Chris then to each other before nodding. “Yep but be ready there’s gonna be a lot of questions, tears and hugs” Evan then walks forward and grabs both of the handles before pulling them both back. “We're alive and we're back!” hearing the commotion, everyone inside looks to the doors and spots them and are just stunned. While the three just stand there.
“So uhh where are our parents?” hearing Mike speak snaps everyone out of their stupor. “They're all up in Vanny’s apartment you know the way, I’ll let them know they're expecting guests” the three nod and begin making their way past the tables and cat walk towards a door and walk up the stairs. They all go up a couple of levels with Chris in front, Mike in the middle and Evan in the back. They all stop in front of one of the many identical doors with the only difference being the numbers. Evan steps up to the door and knocks twice before backing away.
The three stand still as they hear shuffling from the other side before click.
Standing in the doorway was a woman with brown hair with some rainbow streaks and red eyes and a shocked look on her face.”Hi mom, we're back” hearing Evan speak snaps her back to reality and she moves out of the way and lets the boys in before locking Evan in a hug. “Mom I know you missed me,I did too but I need to talk to dad” she holds on to him for a bit longer before letting go. “Ok then he should be in the living room with the others” a smile appears on his face. “Thanks mom and it’s great to see you again” He then walks into the living room seeing Mike and Chris in a bear hug by a woman with ginger hair and pink eyes that are red from all the tears.
“Careful auntie we just got out” walking into the kitchen he sees two almost identical men standing with the only differences being the eyes and clothes. “Uncle you mind if I get a moment alone” His uncle gives a nod before walking out of the kitchen. “So what are you gonna start with?” Evan pulls a phone out of his pocket and hands it over to his dad. “I was able to swipe this from the woman in charge, she treated it like the holy grail so I figured it might be important” Yawn “Welp we’ve been through a lot now I’m gonna just be in my room” his dad nods as he leaves the kitchen and takes a left before walking down a short hallway stopping in front of a door. After opening he walks over to a cage with two rabbits inside that become happy to see him. “Hehe it’s nice to see you guys too. He then walks over to the bed and just falls onto his mattress.
