Chapter Text
He didn’t actually hate Punz, Foolish just didn’t want to actually admit out loud that he had an extra squishy soft spot for him in his already soft heart. So saying that he hated the mercenary with an obvious smile was the closest the demigod had to verbally express his appreciation for him. He has gotten so much stuff done to the mercenary, after all the beacon in his end-chest came as a courtesy of the ever busy man. That is without mentioning the many times that he had gone and traded with the man’s villagers after accidents or simply in the way of helping someone out, or the occasional tidbits of materials that he lifted from the blonds chests that saves him hours of recourse gendering.
So if Foolish had a soft spot for Punz in a similar way that he does with Sam Nook who could blame him. Watching and helping someone gather materials for a build was just basic builder instinct, and it wasn’t like he didn’t get his armour and tools fixed in that trip to the prismarine farm. Cleaning someone’s place when everyone goes out of their way to run a muck in it was just a little nothing for all the help, and it wasn’t like he did it alone Ant had been there to help clean up too. Fixing the bees’ greenhouse and repopulating it was more for the XD statue than for Punz anyways, he just thought it would be to know it was there in the future if it ever was needed.
It wasn’t like Punz had ever done anything to actively or accidentally hurt him. So being a bit more kind than usual with him was probably fine. Is not like the mercenary was entangled with stuff as far as Foolish knew, so being friends with him was probably fine. Punz seemed as one of the few people on the whole SMP to be self aware enough and trustworthy to allow the demigod to be a bit more loose with stuff.
