Chapter Text

A scream erupted from the night as a monster with the appearance of a crocodile is hurled through the air before falling to the ground, the creature groaned as it rose but a foot landed on its back pinning the monster to the ground.

“…you know, Mesogog has been losing his temper if he's sent something as pathetic and weak as you are to this town.” Comments the voice above before a gun barrel is placed on the back of the monster's neck. “As an act of mercy, I'll get this over with quickly, and I'm sorry you have to serve someone as despicable as that malformed dinosaur.”

With that, a flash of blue light appears before disappearing suddenly revealing a person holding a kind of weapon that looked like a shotgun that seemed to have the head of a dinosaur with its mouth open roaring and on the side of it some intimidating blue crystals.

In terms of intimidation, wielder himself wasn't far behind. His attire appeared to be made of indigo fabric with metal plates on it, while his shoulders appeared to be covered in white armor with sky blue scratches, and his helmet with blue crystals on the sides. Its eyes were a roar-like, fully black visor with a thin line resembling a mouth, and its head was adorned with silver horns.

"I see you haven't changed much, Mr. Balinton.” Comments a voice from the darkness making the costumed person sigh irritated before turning around.

"Dr. Oliver, don't you think it's a little late for a night walk?" Ask the armored person.

Out of the darkness appeared a middle aged man with probably short black hair with black eyes and a small goatee, he was wearing a long sleeved black shirt with jeans and boots. The two stared at each other for a few moments before the armored person huffed and started to walk away.

“There is a new team, they need help.” declares Dr. Oliver making the warrior stop. “Power rangers work best as a team, you know that, maybe you can join them.”

“…and take orders from you again? Let me think... No, and bye.”

With that the mysterious warrior disappeared into the darkness leaving a Dr.Oliver alone, the man sighed before lifting the bracelet close to his mouth.

“He didn't accept Hayley.”

“Give him some time, I bet he will agree to join the boys, they are good kids.”

“…For some reason I doubt it.”

(The next day.)

A couple of teenagers walked into what appeared to be a cyber cafe with several tables with a few arcade machines, computers and a concert stage, with many other young people milling around and chatting.

“Do you think he lives here?” Questions a tall boy with brown hair and eyes, he was wearing a black jacket with a white shirt that had a red rectangle and jeans with sneakers.

“I think he wanted to live here.” Plays a girl next to the boy, she had brown hair and eyes, she was wearing a yellow shirt with big black gloves and ripped pants with boots.

“Here are my partners in crime…or at least crime-fighting.” Greets an African American boy approaching the two, he had short black hair and brown eyes; he was wearing a white shirt with several blue lines with long pants and sneakers.

“Welcome to my world, what do you think?”

“I think it's good, in a techno, retro and silly way.” Answers the tall guy looking around as they followed the guy in blue.

“Here you can do everything, play, Internet, listen to music, eat, drink.” Explains the boy in blue turning around.

“Whose idea was it?” asks the girl in yellow.

“Hayley.” Answers the boy in blue, calling the attention of a red-haired woman at the counter. “He's a legend in technology, went to MIT, programming genius, got tired of working with companies and opened this place.”

“Good for you.” Comments the girl receiving an excited look from the one in blue.

“Really good.”

“...Ok, this is great and all, now tell me what is so important that you call us here?” Asks the tall boy putting his arm on the shoulder of the blue one.

“Well…I just thought that since we're going to save the world together, it would be great for you to meet me too.”

The tall guy gives an amused snort before looking at the one in yellow and looking back at the one wearing blue.

“Okay partner.”

“Hi, what can I get you guys?” Asks a red-haired woman approaching them.

“Oh, I want an apple juice.” Asks the one in yellow receiving a smile from the woman.

“Oh that's easy, are you Kira?”

“I am, how do you know?” questions Kira looking at Hayley.

“Information is my business.” guarantees the woman before turning around. “You sing, don't you?”

“Yes, I sing.”

“Perfect, how about Friday you and your band play here? it will be like an audition.” After hearing this, Kira's eyes widen in happiness.

“Yeah, sure, that would be really cool.” Kira guarantees before looking at the boys. “Guys, I loved her.”

“Hayley is like that.” Says the one in blue proud. “Always ready to help everyone.”

“Well, she didn't help me.” Comments the tall boy leaning against the counter.

“Conner McKnight, the soccer player.” Calls Hayley giving the apple juice to Kira. “Why aren't you trying out for the reef-coast team?”

“... Test? You imply that the soccer team from the reef coast is conducting a test?”

 “Yes, in your field, right now.”

The tall boy slowly started to smile. “Are you kidding me?”

“No.”

“What did you say?” Asked the boy in blue with a playful smile before the tall boy got excited and ran away.

“Good luck man.”

“I have to go too.” Comments Kira looking at the boy. -I have to go prepare the lyrics and the guitar strings, here.

With that, the girl leaves giving her juice to the boy in blue who smiles at Kira leaving.

“Nothing is better than spreading love.”

“Yeah, but as a ranger you should know it's more complicated.” Comments a voice on his side making the boy widen his eyes and turn to see a boy with black hair and dark brown eyes with dark circles around his age wearing a black jacket with a green shirt with jeans and sneakers, on his neck was a red headset.

“How did you…” At that moment, the bracelet of the boy in blue rings making the other take a kind of milkshake and take a sip.

“I recommend attending, it may be important for Dr. Oliver.”

With that, the boy in blue stares at the guy in front of him before walking away and answering the call.

“Hey doc, it's Ethan.

“Meet me on reef road in an hour.” Asks the man making Ethan look at the bracelet worried.

“Yeah, but what happened?”

“When you arrive, I'll explain.”

With that the conversation ended up making Ethan go back to face the boy at the counter only to see the place empty, with that he got up and looked around worriedly with no sign of the mysterious boy.

Meanwhile outside the boy walked quietly drinking his milkshake.

“...Interesting group Dr. Oliver, now let's see if you'll do a better job as a teacher.”

Chapter Text

Ethan and Dr. Oliver had just arrived in a forest where they approached what looked like a nest in the roots of a tree.

"...What are those things, teacher?" questions Ethan looking at three white eggs that glowed red, yellow and blue.

“It's eggs.” answers Dr. Oliver with a nostalgic smile looking at the objects.

"Ah... cool Dr.O, but I just ate a few hours ago." Comments Ethan making a face and looking away from the eggs.

The older one chuckled before opening the backpack and placing it in front of the eggs.

"We're not going to eat them Ethan, we're going to hatch them and then you're going to ride them." The Doctor. Oliver explains with a laugh, clearly amused by the boy's reasoning.

Ethan stared at him in confusion before getting to his feet dusting off his clothes as he looked around the forest. “Maybe it's the silence here making me hear things, but I could have sworn I heard you saying we were going to set this up.”

“Great, nice to know your ear canals work better than your finesse.” comments a voice from the trees making the two turn around and face an armor ranger staring at them leaning against a tree.

"What? When did you get there!? Who are you?" Asks a startled Ethan getting into a fighting stance as Dr. Oliver sighed seeing the ranger.

“It's good to see you again…” greets the man before the ranger growls, backing away from the tree.

"Don't call me my name when I'm like this, call me Frost, unlike you, I know the importance of secret identity." growls the now named Frost causing Ethan to take a step back.

“Okay, I'm sorry Frost, I still forget that...”

"No..." interrupts Frost raising his hand, making the man sigh. “Just no, continue what you were doing, I came for a reason of my own.”

With that, silence fell before Doctor Oliver reached down and placed the eggs gently in the bag before noticing the looks Ethan was giving the new ranger.

“Believe me Ethan, Frost can be a little rough, but he's not an enemy. Our focus should be on the eggs, they will be of great help later.”

Suddenly Frost summoned an ax from his belt before spinning the underside into a weapon's hilt, at the same time the blades spun around to the sides of the head of a roaring indigo Carnotaurus. When the weapon was ready the ranger shot between the trees hitting a blur, which fell to the ground revealing a tyrannodrone, however the ranger continued shooting at the creature making it tremble until it stopped moving.

Upon seeing this, Ethan's eyes widened with his mouth hanging open as the older man frowned, giving a slight glare to Frost who completely ignored him.

“Y-you saw that right?” stammers Ethan in shock at Frost's ruthless handling of this simple monster.

“We have to protect the eggs.” Dr.oliver and Frost started at the same time before facing each other.

“Protect them?” questions Ethan. “Who would want to hurt them?”

"Me." says a woman dressed in black with a sword at her waist leaning against a tree behind them.

"And me." with that a man dressed in black armor with silver details comes out from behind the tree before facing the three.

“Look, the tsundere couple are here, what a cute thing.” comments Frost before aiming the gun and firing, but the armored man dodges the shot.

“WE ARE NOT TSUNDERES!” exclaim the two angrily, but Frost just leans the gun on his shoulder.

"They still haven't denied the couple's part, but that's not my problem."

At that moment, several tyrannodrones appeared around them surrounding the area; Frost calmly looked around before turning his weapon to the ax and resting the weapon on his shoulder.

“Look, they brought the kids for a walk, sweet thing.” Frost scoffs in amusement.

“I'm starting to have second thoughts about who I hate the most, Dr. Oliver or you, Frost.” The man in armor snarls as Dr. Oliver frowns looking at the amount of creatures surrounding them.

One of the tyrannodrones approached from behind Doctor Oliver and grabbed the backpack making the man turn around and enter into a tug of war with the creature, Frost turned his head a little to look at the scene and sighed.

“ATTACK!” exclaims the man in armor making the tyrants shoot towards the three.

With that, Frost kicked the first to approach in the knee before bringing the ax down on its head, splitting it in half, and then raising the weapon, hitting another Tiranodrone, but the ranger didn't stop his attack. He quickly jumped up changing the ax back to a gun and started shooting at the oncoming enemies.

“Ethan, call the others!” orders Doctor Oliver exchanging kicks and punches with the tyrannodrones.

As he struggled Frost snarled before resting the weapon on his shoulder and firing at an approaching tyrannodrone from behind, the ranger stepped to the side, turning the weapon into an ax again before bringing the blade down on the opponent as he fell.

The indigo ranger sighed before looking at the others, raising an eyebrow now seeing the blue ranger in his uniform fighting the tyrannodrones alongside Doctor Oliver.

"Really? Are you guys not done yet?”

"If you're done with them, you can deal with us." Comments a voice from behind Frost before said ranger dodges a blade.

“Ah, I was already thinking that you two went out to have a moment alone, it must be difficult to find yourself with Mesogog around.” mocks Frost looking at the two warriors in front of him.

The two snarled at him before charging at him, Frost shook his head before blocking the woman with the ax and quickly kicking the man in the stomach, sending him backwards. Immediately the ranger turns to the woman and hits her in the face with the butt of his weapon.

"Zeltrax, Elsa, we've been through this little game several times, now please..." asks the ranger before holding the ax with two hands and an evil glow appears on his visor. “Die by my blade.”

And with that, the fight between the three continued, but Frost fought with more speed and strength, with much more brutality causing Zeltrax and Elsa to retreat. Soon the indigo ranger hits them with the ax and then delivers a large amount of cuts before kicking them away, making both fall to the ground covered in wounds.

“Well, I can't say it wasn't a pleasure.” comments the indigo ranger changing the ax to the cannon pointing at them. “Now die at once.”

Before he could throw a kick at his gun causing him to miss giving them time to get away, Frost snarled angrily before facing Doctor Oliver glaring at him sadly with all three rangers behind him.

"What the hell was that, Tommy!?" Asks Frost standing up and looking right into the man's eyes.

“You were going to kill them.” scolds Tommy with a serious look.

“Yes, I was.” Frost sneers back. "It's not like I've killed monsters before, it would just be two more."

"They weren't monsters like the others, they were or at least looked more like humans." rebuts Tommy firmly. “If you go down this path there will be no turning back.”

“...You know that well, right? After all, you already lost an Indigo, you don't want to lose another one, but I see you have already fixed it.” Comments Frost looking at the rangers behind the man before turning his gaze to Tommy.

However, his attention was on the red one who looked irritated, as if he didn't want to be there, this made Frost snort shaking his head before facing Dr. Oliver.

“Look here Dr. Oliver, I don't care if you want to hold them or fight hand in hand with these kids, but if you come between me and my prey, I'll add you to my hunt.” threatens the ranger before turning and walking away.

“…Who is the ray of sunshine?” asks the red ranger looking at Doctor Oliver who sighs tiredly.

‘Someone who hates me.” answers the man before turning around. “And he has every reason to, but enough of that now, we have to get those eggs back to base.”

(Scene break)

In Hayley's Cyberspace, Kira was listening her songs to play on Friday while Ethan was playing on his computer. At some point the blue ranger mentioned that Doctor Oliver was working on the eggs they had caught earlier, but the girl wasn't listening, at least not after she'd laid eyes on the bartender.

"Wow..." comments the girl, still looking at the waiter serving the others. “Who's that?"

"I don't know." replies Ethan with a shrug.

“Someone you won't go near if you want to do a good job as a ranger.” comments a voice sitting down at the table with the two rangers, Ethan quickly recognizes him as the person he spoke to earlier.

"It’s you..."

"Yes it's me." replies the boy sarcastically. “Congratulations on stating the obvious, want a cookie?”

“…I'm feeling a little out of place here, do you guys know each other?” asks Kira, a little suspicious of the new arrival.

“You two… You don't even know who I am, do you?” asks the boy with an irritated sigh as he rubs his face. "Wonderful."

After this, the boy faced the two with a disappointed expression. “If you are the new power rangers, the world is doomed.”

This caused him to receive offended looks from the two who straightened up and glared at him.

"Hey, we're new power rangers and we did great!" counters Kira angrily, but the boy just stares at her and snorts.

“Sorry girl, but you are far from scaring me yet.” the boy rolls his eyes, shaking his head. "Like I said, if it's up to you, we're doomed."

"From what I've seen, you are nothing but brats who care more about your school dramas than being the actual power rangers." explains the boy narrowing his eyes on the two teenagers.

“Are we going to tell? Their 'glorious leader', the red ranger is currently auditioning to join the city's soccer team and cares more about popularity at school. The blue ranger here prefers to play games and hack systems to give himself an advantage over others not caring who he harms and the yellow ranger is a passionate schoolgirl more interested in singing and living life while flirting with a waiter at an establishment.” The boy quotes with a sigh closing his eyes and missing the troubled gazes of the two rangers in front of him.

There was no way he could have known that with the short amount of time they'd interacted, it wasn't possible, it made Ethan and Kira wonder how long this guy had been aware of them.

"You are completely unprepared for the sacrifice of being a ranger, the pain, the focus, the determination, you are not special, you are just nosy kids who found the dino stones in a history teacher's basement." growls the boy before getting up from the table and turning around.

“Do you want to play being power rangers? Fine, just don't get in my way."

Moreover, with that, the boy leaves them, bumping his shoulder against Conner who just entered.

“HEY WATCH WHERE YOU’RE GOING!” screams Conner looking at the person leaving. "Idiot."

(Some hours later)

The ranger base doors opened as Conner, Ethan, and Kira were about to enter. At that moment, some boxes flew making the three stop in place.

“Do not enter!” They listen to Dr. Oliver screaming from somewhere on the base making the three face each other. “It's not safe here. Hey, drop it!”

“Yeah…we kind of figured that out.” comments Kira confused and nervous with the noises and grunts coming from the hiding place.

At that moment, they see Dr. Oliver being hurled out of the room, past the three of them, by a red dinosaur tail.

“I think there's still little progress...” comments Ethan, extending his hand to the professor.

“Definitely little progress.” The teacher grunts painfully, taking the student's hand and getting up. Ethan however regretted it when he saw some kind of slimy saliva on his hand, dinosaur saliva.

"All is well then? What can I do for you?” asks Dr. Oliver, ignoring the roars and noises behind him.

“You have to find someone to replace me.” declares Conner, making his teammates' eyes widen.

"What are you talking about!?" asks Kira in disbelief as Ethan's eyes widened.

“Alright, calm down, both of you.” starts Tommy putting himself between the two rangers and the red one. "What happened?"

“Look, I'm a football player, I've always wanted to do this, it's my dream. Every moment of my life has been spent getting to play on a professional team and I have the chance of my life...and I blew it because of being a Power Ranger.” explains Conner with a sigh.

Unbeknownst to Tommy or Conner, the two other rangers' eyes widened remembering that person’s speech in cyberspace.

“I understand and you are absolutely right.” declares Dr. Oliver, shocking the three of them.

"He is?"

"I am?"

"Yes." states Tommy before a solemn look appears on his face. “I know how you feel, Conner; I've felt this way for a long time. But I want you to think carefully before making any decisions.”

Conner nods before turning to leave, but Kira steps forward.

“Look, I have things to do, but I'm here trying my best...” begins the girl before clenching her fists. “Do you really want to leave this just because you missed this opportunity to play football? We stopped being just high school students the moment we found these rocks.”

Ethan also stepped forward, surprising both of them. “We are nothing special, we just walk in here and find the rocks, WE who started this mess, we who intruded, made our bed and have to sleep in it.”

“...Maybe I'm just different anyway.” comments Conner before walking away.

As soon as the red ranger left, Dr. Oliver looked at his students with a knowing gaze.

“Let me guess, someone went up to you and pissed you off about a power ranger job and gave a speech before you left right?” asks Tommy, sighing making them both nod.

"Yes, how do you know?" questions Ethan cautiously.

"It's what I thought he would do." answers Tommy tiredly. “That guy was Frost aka Jason Baliton.”

The new information surprised the two who stared at Doctor Oliver in shock.

(Scene break.)

Conner angrily kicked a ball sending it flying towards the goal. The boy shook his head remembering earlier events, his discussion with the team and the test, when he heard someone calling his name.

"Trainer?" Questions Conner was surprised to see the man. "What are you doing here?"

“I got a call from one of your professors, and he told me it was his fault you left.” replies the Coach, making Conner cheer up.

“Does that mean I still have a chance?”

“You always had a chance, boy. Are you really sure you want to do this? You will have to give up everything else.” Warn the coach.

"For sure!" says Conner, nodding with a smile.

“Alright then, I'll be going. I will be waiting for you in the field at the same time as before.” replies the coach before leaving.

Conner turned to the ball happily and kicked it, but this time a teenager caught the ball in his hand before it went into the net. The new arrival was Jason, which surprised the player who eyed the new guy suspiciously.

“Sorry, but can you give me that ball back?”

"Of course." replies Jason before dropping the ball and kicking it at him.

The ball impacted Conner's stomach, sending the boy to the ground coughing and groaning in pain. Meanwhile Jason approached him slowly with his hands in his pockets before stopping in front of the fallen player and staring at him blankly.

“You really should accept his offer, you know?” comments the boy before bending down and facing Conner. “Conner Mcknight is not cut out to be a power ranger, not with that arrogance and his heart already set on something else, so go after your dream and ditch your stone dino, I really don't care what you choose, but don't get in my way or you'll be as good as monsters in my eyes.”

In addition, with that the boy stands up before noticing Ethan and Kira running towards him. Jason watched them as they lifted the red ranger before facing him.

“Oh great, the arrogant athlete, the selfish gamer and the passionate singer, what a beautiful family reunion, what a beautiful thing.” scoffs at the boy making the three rangers stare at him with narrowed eyes.

“What about the arrogant bastard in front of us?” asks Kira with a grimace, earning a malicious smile from the boy.

"Maybe I misjudged you, that glow you're giving me is worthy of a power ranger, it just lacks willpower." comments the boy still smiling.

“And you are an example of a ranger to judge us, right Jason?” counters Ethan angrily as his arms turn a bluer hue with some scales.

"No." admits Jason glaring at them before huffing and walking away. "I'm the worst kind of ranger there can be, but I'm the best for the people around me."

At that moment the bracelets of the three rangers beeped while Jason's glowed blue.

“Guys, we have a problem. There is a monster attacking the city, people are in danger.” informs Tommy of the communicators.

"Understood." speaks Conner nodding while sighing. “But this is the last time.”

With that, the three remove their eyes from the bracelets to see that Jason was already gone.

“No, it's serious now, how does he manage to disappear and appear like this? Is he Batman?” Questions Ethan in disbelief looking for Jason around, finding no trace of him.

Conner looked around to make sure he didn't have anyone before moving forward.

"Are you ready?"

“Ready!” exclaim the two.

In this, the three open the mouths of their morphers.

“DINO THUNDER POWER ON!”

(Scene break.)

“Wow, this is a pretty disgusting thing...” comments Ethan looking at the monster.

"Let's go!" exclaims Conner as the three form a triangle around the monster and attack. The monster seeing this attacked them with its arms sending the rangers away.

The rangers then removed their weapons from their holsters and fired at the creature causing it to retreat, with that they got up and approached the creature.

"GIVE UP!" yells Conner, aiming his laser.

“Catch me if you can.” taunts the monster before flying through the air.

“He's running away!” exclaims Kira ready to go chase him when their communicator goes off.

“You're gonna get him” comes Tommy's voice from the comms. “Meet the raptor zords.”

With that, the three turned and saw three metallic rapiers in their colors approaching them quickly. Clearly they were the creatures Tommy was trying to train, soon they stopped in front of them, ducking down so the rangers could mount them.

"Oh yeah!" exclaims Ethan climbing onto his excited raptor.

"They are amazing." Kira animates into her own velociraptor.

"Oh year." Conner comments with a laugh. "Let's go!"

(Some time later.)

As they rode their raptors they noticed some tyrannodrones terrorizing some people, Conner meanwhile widened his eyes recognizing the little girl who was playing in the field earlier.

“I will help the girl, you take care of that freak!” states Conner before walking away heading towards the girl leaving his teammates in pursuit.

(At the same time.)

On top of one of the surrounding buildings, Frost was watching the new rangers fighting when he saw the red one moving away towards a group of endangered civilians.

“...Maybe there is salvation yet, but it's too early to say for sure.” says Frost, watching closely.

He watched as the red one regrouped with the other rangers and they took down the monster before taking out their bazooka and shooting it blasting the creature to pieces, but they turned their backs and struck a pose making Frost groan in annoyance.

“I take back all the good I thought about you just now.” he moans in annoyance before he sighs as he sees the monster growing. "And that's why I make sure there's nothing left for civilians to worry about being stepped on by giant monsters... Anyway, I think it's good for me to help them."

At that moment, Frost brings his morpher to his mouth before uttering a simple command.

“Annihilate.”

(Back with the rangers.)

“Dr. O, we might have a problem now.” comments Conner looking up in disbelief.

“A big problem!” adds Ethan walking away.

“Let me guess, a three-story version of that guy you were fighting?” asks the man with a slightly amused tone.

“Have you done this before?” asks Ethan.

"Once or twice, I'm sending the..." before he could do anything, an intense cold hits the rangers at the same time as a roar echoes.

Both the monster and the rangers turned to the source and widened their eyes seeing a large bio-zord in indigo color with bright yellow eyes, it was similar to the T-rex, but it had silver horns on its head with large crystals on the sides of the neck, in addition to purple teeth.

“Dr. O, is that one of ours?” asks Kira, scared, this bio-zord was different from the others, seemed to be completely furious and thirsty for blood, it looked like a real dinosaur.

They watched as the creature let out a mighty roar and rushed towards the monster, leaping at it and biting its shoulder causing a scream of pain. However, they were even more surprised when another dino, this white one with purple details appeared; it was similar to a triceratops however, this one had a bigger mane.

The new zord roared before hitting the monster in the chest with its horns and pushing the creature out of town. The rangers quickly followed the new zords.

Once they arrived in the forest, the rangers stared in amazement at the savagery of the zords biting and hitting the monster before throwing it away. The two zords roared almost as if they took pleasure in what they were doing before fixing the fallen monster with leering eyes.

“Dr. O, are our zords that wild?” questions Ethan.

“No, the zords are sentient and based on dinosaurs, but they were primarily made to incapacitate and not…that.”

"That's because it isn’t your zords." comments Frost appearing behind them looking proud looking at the zords that threw the monster away. “These are mine, now sit back and enjoy the show.”

With that, Frost jumped on the Carnotaurus dinosaur entering its forehead.

Once inside, the indigo ranger found himself in the middle of a frozen tundra when an ice sphere formed in front of him, the ranger smiled in amusement before placing his hands on it.

“Blizard Force megazord, stand up.” announces Frost.

(Outside.)

The skies above darkened as it began to snow, soon the large dinosaur rolled on top as the megazord's legs formed. At the same time on top, the dinosaur's head rotated towards its chest while the tail came out revealing a mechanical arm that slammed shut.

With that done, the triceratops-like dinosaur jumped onto the left side of the robot and dovetailed there. Soon the tail came off along with the head revealing a metallic hand, with that the crystals on the dinosaur's neck glowed on the chest and shoulder as the robot's head emerged from the body with glowing red eyes.

The large megazord held out its arms before grabbing a large sword with the dinosaurs' two tails in one hand and the head of the triceratops as a shield in the other.

The robot then went into a fighting stance as the dino head on its chest opened its jaws and roared.

“…HE HAS A MEGAZORD!?” exclaims Conner incredulously.

(At ranger base)

Tommy watched the megazord in disbelief from the monitors as a cold wind blew out of the robot, the veteran ranger rose from his chair wide-eyed. He couldn't stop seeing himself as the Green Ranger now, when he was under Rita Repulsa's control.

“Jason…what did you do?”

(Back to rangers)

“Let's get this over with.” Frost begins from inside the megazord as the robot's eyes glow and he approaches the monster quickly before slashing it with the blade in the chest.

The monster backed away before firing lasers at the megazord, which raised its shield to fend off the attack.

Inside the robot, Frost smiled at his opponent tapping his fingers on the ice sphere. "Sorry, I'm not one to extend my fights very long, so let's go to the 'grand finale'."

As the megazord's eyes glowed bright red as ice gathered on the ground, the monster stared in amazement at its now frozen legs before the robot's sword exploded into blue flames.

Wasting no time the robot disappeared before reappearing behind the monster, but instead of holstering the weapon, he turned and thrust it into the creature's chest. The monster groaned in pain as it turned into an ice sculpture and shattered into thousands of pieces that exploded in a shower of snowflakes.

The rangers watched in shock as they felt the snowfall all around them.

"...Just who is this guy?" whispers Ethan in disbelief as the megazord was also covered in ice and shattered, disappearing.

"Where did he go?" asks Kira looking up.

"...Right here." calls Frost walking between them without facing them.

The rangers turned to the indigo ranger and saw him walking past them.

"I admit I must apologize, you look like you could be power rangers, but make no mistake if you step out of line for even a second or if you harm an innocent you will be my hunt."

(Scene break.)

“Good luck Kira.” Trent says smiling, taking the lemonade to the girl on stage, where she and the band were getting ready. Cyberspace was crowded with a chattering crowd waiting for the show.

"Thanks." she thanks him by returning the smile and taking the drink.

Ethan was leaning against the counter when Conner approached him wearing a red shirt.

"Hey." Greets the athlete a little embarrassed as he sits next to the boy in blue.

“Hi, I didn’t expect to see you here.” greets Ethan in surprise.

"Why not? After all, we are crime-fighting partners.” comments Conner with a smile on his face making Ethan confused.

"We are?"

"Yes." assures Conner. "We are."

“And your dream? What happened to the team?” asks Ethan curiously.

"...I had to make a choice, saving that little girl and the Frost ranger made me realize there's nothing more important than what we're doing." replies Conner with conviction. "And even though Frost is an asshole... he still helped us in a dumb way, but he helped us become better power rangers, I think he likes us, but in his own unique way."

“...put unique on it.” jokes Ethan making the two laugh.

Unknown to them Jason was nearby but with his hood up playing a nearby machine before he sighed and left the establishment. Once outside he bumped into Tommy Oliver, the two stopped shortly staring at each other before Jason snorted and walked past the man slamming his shoulder into him.

However, a sound caught his attention, a sound he knew, an invisible portal. Quickly the boy lifted the silver bracelet that turned into his morpher, which had the same face as the T-rex-like dinosaur, and pressed the button.

Immediately he was covered in ice and turned around destroying the ice revealing Frost.

“LEAVE HIM ALONE!” exclaims the ranger running towards the creatures that were holding Tommy, but they disappeared into another invisible portal making Frost fall to the ground.

The indigo ranger stood looking at where the invisible portal was and snarled.

“Mesogog...”

Chapter Text

The three dino thunder rangers were in their underground base under Tommy's house trying to find the whereabouts of their teacher. Earlier he had been kidnapped by Mesogog and now they were trying to find him with Hayley's help.

This had initially been very helpful and reassuring, as well as serving to teach them more about their ranger predecessors, but now things were more tense thanks to Conner trying to show off and ending up kicking the base's computer.

"Did you find anything?" Asks Conner embarrassed and worried while scratching his head.

"I got it!" Exclaimed Hayley as the other rangers cheered.

"Lucky you're a genius." Ethan comments excitedly as he looks at the computers coming back online.

Conner sighs with relief next to Kira, but none of them notice the door to their base opening.

"Even geniuses need help sometimes." Declares Hayley smiling. "That kick must have helped, because I'm getting information."

This made all the rangers cheer up when one of the screens showed Tommy again.

"With Mesogog's return, the dino stones had to be activated again."

At that moment Kira paused the video and looked at her fellow rangers in confusion, something that was copied by the other two, but Hayley seemed anxious about what was going to happen. It was something Tommy had told her before and it wasn't very pleasant.

"Again? What do you mean again?" Conner asked.

"Isn't it obvious by now, or do you want me to draw it?" An irritated voice asked from behind them. Unfortunately, they knew the voice, so they all turned and saw Frost grinning with his arms crossed, leaning against the entrance to their base.

"What are you doing here?" Kira asked angrily, after all he was a person who not only offended her and her team every chance he got, but also failed to save their teacher.

"...I've come for a pizza, what do you think? Now go on, I want to confirm something." Frost asks, prompting Hayley to nod and continue the video.

"It all started a few years ago on the island where me, Anton Mercer and Nicholas Ballinton discovered the dino-stones." Tommy explains in the recording.

Tommy was sitting at a large table with several computers next to a blond, green-eyed man typing rapidly on his keyboard.

At that moment they both stood up and looked through a glass window that separated them from a test room. In the room was a large, robust man wearing a completely white suit with several sensors around him. The man smiled at the two people on the other side before bringing out a dino bracelet that quickly created the indigo ranger's morph.

"Dino thunder, full power HA!" Exclaimed the man pressing the button causing it to be covered in ice before breaking revealing the indigo ranger who gave a salute.

"Wait..." Ethan asks, pausing the video before turning to Frost. "You don't look like the man in the video, how did you get the dino stone?"

"Keep watching." Frost growls before Hayley activates the file again.

"We created the first prototype of the thunder dino and one of the strongest rangers ever made, we used the data collected over the years by Billy and Alpha's studies, this was the indigo ranger, Nicholas Balinton, a descendant of Merrick Balinton, the moon wolf ranger." Tommy continues.

Nicholas was in a training room before several training robots were unleashed on the man. Nicholas waited patiently before catching the punch of one of the opponents and hitting it with a blow of his own before going into a blind rage.

"Nicholas was by far the best at controlling the power of the indigo stone, unlike the others who exuded intense heat. It was cold and distant, but Nicholas never gave up and he had a heart of gold, focus and discipline."

"Nicholas was always a good man and was the single father of a boy, Jason Balinton, a bright, cheerful boy, but like his father he was a violent fighter...and also my godson." Admits Dr. Oliver, making the rangers look at Frost confused by the boy's aversion to the professor, after all, he was his godfather.

Meanwhile, Frost clenched his fist in anger while his morph's eyes glowed as if his zords were trying to talk to him.

"But not all things last forever."

Nicholas and Anton were in a room arguing with each other, both looking very angry. Suddenly, Nicholas shoved Anton and stormed out of the room, while ignoring his colleague's shouts and staying behind.

"I never had a chance to learn what exactly was the reason for this argument, but during the night I had the terrible surprise of seeing the indigo ranger, Frost, walking around the base with his gun...a simple intention: to kill Anton Mercer."

The indigo ranger and Tommy were facing each other arguing before the former pointed his axe at one of the corridors, the former ranger rolled his eyes before saying something with an angry scowl to Frost. The next moment they both started fighting, but the indigo ranger seemed to be holding back during the fight.

At one point in the fight Tommy threw the indigo ranger into the wall, causing him to fall to the ground on all fours. The ranger looked ready to get back into the fight when he stopped and turned his head to the right, his uniform disappearing.

Tommy didn't seem to notice and threw a kick at Nicholas, who didn't even defend himself when the kick hit him in the face, turning him around with a thud. The next moment Nicholas Ballinton fell to the ground dead and motionless looking at Tommy who was breathing deeply before his eyes widened at what he had done.

"Dad?" asked a voice from next door, causing the former Ranger to freeze and turn to see Jason Ballinton staring at the scene with horror on his face.

Everyone was silent as Tommy in the video sighed and rubbed his face tiredly before pulling himself together and looking at the people in the room again.

"That was my biggest mistake, after that the indigo stone dino chose Jason as its wielder and the boy disappeared the next day... I still don't know how he escaped from the island without Anton or I noticing, but we're still looking for him without success, I can only pray that he's okay." Tommy reports before a security camera video appears showing Frost fighting monsters.

"I recently met the Indigo Ranger again, but he doesn't trust me anymore... With Mesogog's return, it became necessary to summon the power of the other dino stones." 

With that, the images and profiles of Ethan, Kira, Conner and Jason appeared on the screens in their human and ranger forms. Seeing his image there, Frost gripped the handle of his gun tightly, trying to ignore his anger.

"If anything happens to me, these four are in charge of protecting the world."

"That's us..." Kira whispered in disbelief.

"The world will be in good hands," Tommy declares before the video switches off, leaving the five of them in silence.

"He really trusts us... all of us..." Conner comments, clenching his fist and looking at Frost at the end.

"Yes, he does," confirms Hayley, nodding at them.

"We have to do something, we owe it to him." Says Ethan looking at his fellow rangers.

"Speak for yourself." Frost sneers with his arms crossed.

"The whole world owes him." Kira rebuts, looking at Frost who stares at her for a few seconds before lowering his head.

"...That's true, unfortunately. Fuck, I can't believe what I'm going to do..." Frost mutters despondently, causing the others to cheer up. "Okay, I'll help you rescue... Dr. Oliver."

A few seconds later, the monitors started beeping, making everyone approach the computer. Hayley was the first to reach it before she began typing fiercely on the keyboard.

"It worked, I managed to find an invisible portal." Reveals the girl, causing the three novice rangers to cheer up.

"It's time to save our teacher!" Conner exclaimed excitedly, celebrating along with Kira and Ethan.

With that, the three turned and began to leave while Frost sighed and shook his head in disappointment as Hayley turned in her chair to look at the three rangers leaving.

"Remember, you must reach a speed of 536 miles per hour when entering, otherwise you'll never get through the wall safely or you'll probably be blown to bits." Warns Hayley causing the three to stop before turning and staring at the woman with wide eyes while Frost sighs in surprise.

"...Did I forget to mention that?" Hayley asked with a shy smile. Seeing the looks on their faces, she laughed a little. "Apparently I forgot."

"You think?" Mocked Frost, but he was ignored by the others

"Don't be afraid, I have exactly what you need right now." With that, she began typing on the keyboard before a wall opened up, revealing four shiny motorcycles, one of each color of the Power Rangers.

"...Did he do this thinking I'd agree to join his new team?" Frost asks a little angrily.

"Yeah!" Ethan exclaims excitedly, approaching the vehicles.

"Impressive." Kira compliments smiling excitedly, next to her Conner steps forward clapping and rubbing his hands together.

"Which one's mine?" Conner jokes, making Ethan and Kira look at him with raised eyebrows.

"...Is it too late for me to prepare my will?" Frost murmurs before walking over to his bike and mounting it. "...I like it."

"These are the Raptorscycles. They should take you to your destination in approximately 92.75 seconds." Hayley presented the vehicles to the rangers, looking proud of herself. Frost on his motorcycle looked at her and then at the bike before waving.

"Maybe there's hope for the world yet."

"And how are we supposed to get there?" Kira asks worriedly.

"Use your jewels to access the hyper-drive and then go straight to the fortress on Mesogog's island." Explains Hayley, causing Conner to suddenly turn pale, unfortunately this didn't go unnoticed by Frost.

"Conner, is everything all right?" Frost asks a little worriedly, causing Hayley, Kira and Ethan to stare at him in surprise.

"Are you... asking about our well-being?" Ethan asks in surprise, making Frost turn to face him.

"No, I just want to make sure you're not going to kill me by making me take care of you." Frost declared inexpressively, making Ethan cringe, at which point the indigo ranger returned his attention to Conner. "Well? Are you all right?"

"Well..." begins Conner, scratching the back of his head. "Islands, they're... surrounded by water." 

"Normally." Hayley nods in confusion.

"No, they're surrounded by marshmallows." Frost scoffs, rolling his eyes before going completely still, while Ethan's eyes widen as they both understand Conner's hesitation.

"No..." Ethan started laughing when he finally realized what Conner meant. "You can't swim?"

"I didn't say that!" Conner exclaimed in embarrassment as he turned to face the blue ranger, who was still laughing.

"But it's true, you can't." Seeing the look on Conner's face, Ethan began to laugh again, receiving an inexpressive look from Frost.

"...Are they really the best hope on earth now?" Frost asks, turning to Hayley, who shrugs.

"It's what we've got."

The answer Frost received was enough to make him sigh before staring at the new rangers playing with each other, so he clenched his fists and let out a deep breath. As soon as he stopped, the indigo ranger stared at Conner with a blank expression under his helmet.

"You... We'll deal with your problem later. Relax, it'll be as easy as riding a bike." Frost assured Conner as he approached, before getting on his own bike.

"Besides, the invisible portal will take you straight to the island, you won't even get wet." Assures Hayley before going to the monitor chair, starting a monitoring program. 

"You can't swim..." Upon hearing this, Conner rolls his eyes before turning to Ethan who is still laughing.

"Whatever, man." Sighs the red ranger before summoning his morph with a serious look. "Are you ready?"

"Ready!"

"Ready!"

"DINO THUNDER POWER UP HA!" The three of them exclaimed, posing before pressing the button, causing the three of them to be covered in a bright light as their costumes appeared around them.

Meanwhile, Frost stood watching their transformation, not at all impressed, tapping his fingers on the surface of his vehicle.

"...lovely, guys, really, have you ever thought about doing theater? No? Can we go save Dr. Oliver right away?"

(Some time later)

The Rangers were riding the Raptorscycles through a large clearing when their bikes suddenly stopped causing Ethan, Conner and Kira to look at the vehicles in confusion while Frost looked around, still sitting on his bike.

"It just stopped, what's wrong with it? Did it run out of fuel?" asked the blue ranger, frowning under his helmet as he tried to find some problem with the vehicle that would explain the abrupt stop.

"This must be the coordinates Hayley got." The yellow ranger commented before looking around for the invisible portal, she found it a little away from them and pointed to it, drawing the attention of the other rangers. "There's the invisible portal, I just hope Dr. O is behind it."

"There's only one way to find out." Declares the red ranger, looking at his two companions. "Are you ready?"

At that moment, Frost accelerated his vehicle, which sped across the clearing, leaving a trail of dust and dirt covering the rangers. Kira growled under her helmet at all the dirt and mud thrown at her, the others were in the same situation as her and stared openly at the ranger advancing towards the portal.

"Someday... I'm going to kill him." Said the yellow ranger angrily. 

At that moment Zeltrax, Elsa and several tyranodrones appeared in the middle of the path, causing the rangers to groan. However, Frost ignored the new obstacle and only accelerated his motorcycle further towards them, which made the villains stare at each other in fright.

"Stop!" Elsa shouted, wide-eyed, as Frost continued to accelerate faster and faster.

Just as Frost was about to run over the woman, Zeltrax quickly pulled Elsa out of the way while some tyranodrones were dragged to the ground and hit by the ranger who quickly passed them and entered the portal, disappearing from the others' sight. 

The rangers continued to watch the scene, frightened by what their companion had done, even more so when they saw some of the villains recovering from the attack.

"Well... that's what you get for sneaking into parties, let's not leave Frost behind." Conner declares, receiving nods from his colleagues.

(On the island of Mesogog)

An invisible portal suddenly opened before the indigo ranger appeared with his motorcycle speeding down the corridor before coming to a stop. With that, Frost calmly got off the bike and looked around what was Mesogog's fortress, he was finally here and would soon accomplish what his father had failed to do, kill Mesogog. 

One of the few things he knew about the conflict between Anton and his father was that they had been arguing about a project, which had given rise to Mesogog and the danger it had become. His father wanted to destroy Mesogog before it was too late, but Anton didn't seem to agree with the idea, which led to many fights between the two of them. But now Anton wasn't here, nor was his father, Frost was going to continue what he had started many years ago.

Without wasting time, the ranger summoned his axe and began to walk through the corridors of the fortress quietly looking around, the place was empty, most of the henchmen were out dealing with the rangers so there were only two people left in the fortress: Mesogog and Dr. Oliver.

As he walked, Frost suddenly stopped when a door suddenly opened to his right, causing the ranger to turn around to see Mesogog sitting on a throne inside a laboratory-like room.

"Ah, the famous Frost Ranger... come to visit me in my humble abode." Greets Mesogog, rising from his throne with a reptilian hiss as he opens his arms. "It's a pleasure to finally meet the person who hates me the most."

"Glad to see you know me Giant Lizard." Frost declares, entering the room before looking around at the different jars with various different objects in them and Dr. Oliver hunched over a table with some kind of drill approaching his chest. "Wow, I love what you've done with the place, it looks like a science lab at my school, but I prefer the one there even better, it's cleaner. And the science project should be a lizard, not a human being." 

"I see you have a sharp tongue, almost like your axe, right?" Mesogog commented as he approached Frost, making the ranger stare at him. 

"I don't know, do you want to find out or would you rather have your little soldiers find out for you? Since you like to hide behind them like a good damsel in distress." Frost jokes, making Mesogog growl at him, the two of them almost face to face.

"Do I look like I'm hiding?"  With that said, Mesogog moved in and landed a kick to Frost's chest sending the ranger into the wall, causing a thud as the wall sank with the impact before the ranger fell to the ground.

"Jason!"  exclaims Tommy worriedly, trying to free himself from his bonds, but to no avail, and can only watch as Mesogog approaches the boy.

"...Okay, that was nice, now it's my turn." With that said, Frost spun the axe in his hand before advancing on Mesogog.

The two immediately began a hand-to-hand fight with kicks, punches and blows from the axe. Frost landed an axe blow on Mesogog's chest, earning a hiss from the villain before he kicked the ranger in the side before grabbing him by the back of the head and throwing him over a table. 

Frost then spun on the ground, transformed his axe into cannon mode and fired at the table, sending it flying towards Mesogog. The villain was hit by the impact, sending him flying into another table causing several sparks on impact. 

Taking advantage of his opponent's distraction, Frost ran up to Mesogog with his axe in hand before trying to hit him with a frontal blow. However, the villain quickly grabbed the handle of the weapon and stood up, causing the two to struggle for control of the weapon.

Suddenly, Frost felt a sharp pain in his head, recognizing the way a red beam was coming out of Mesogog's forehead. 

"No! Leave him alone, it's me you want!" Tommy exclaims, trying to distract Mesogog.

Fortunately it wasn't necessary as Frost head-butted Mesogog causing him to cease his blow as the two walked away with the ranger dropping his weapon before advancing again, grabbing the villain's neck with both hands, something he promptly reciprocated with a squeeze of his own.

The two stared at each other as they hung.

"You're strong..." Rosna Mesogog with difficulty, noticing how her neck was getting colder and colder looking at Frost. "...You have my respect...But now it's time for you to die."

"How cute..." Frost mocked before stepping on Mesogog's foot and freeing himself from his grip, at which point the ranger kicked the villain in the chest, knocking him to the floor of the doorway. 

"...But go to hell first!" With that, the two approach each other, raising their fists. 

(Outside the laboratory.)

"At least we still have the element of surprise..." comments Kira as she, Conner and Ethan stop in front of the , without their uniforms, having managed to throw off the other monsters, Zeltrax and Elsa.

Suddenly, Frost and Mesogog burst through the door with the ranger pushing the villain to the wall before moving away from him and starting to attack him with several blows trying to keep him on the wall.

"Or not..." Ethan replied, looking in awe at Mesogog's face and how savagely Frost was fighting, this was much more brutal than the fight they had fought so far.

"Guys, Dr. O." Conner exclaimed, pointing to the laboratory, causing the three of them to head in the direction of their teacher.

"Hey guys, just in time." Tommy commented, smiling anxiously, looking at the drill that was very close to his chest before looking at a control panel. "Press the red button."

"Okay." Ethan nodded before doing as his teacher said, causing the drill to stop and the restraints to release from Tommy.

Seeing what they were about to do, Frost quickly kicked Mesogog even deeper into the wall before running back into the room, summoning his axe in cannon mode and pointing it at the door.

"You took your time!" Frost commented, breathing heavily with his uniform covered in dirt and scratches, as well as a little blood, which earned him a worried look from Conner when he noticed his condition.

"Hey, are you okay?" Asked the red ranger as Ethan and Kira freed Tommy.

"It's just a scratch." Declares Frost as Mesogog begins to move from the hole, causing the ranger to fire. "...If you have something to do, do it soon, I can only hold him for a while."

"I'll really thank you when we get out of here."  Tommy declares, heading for a monitor. "Hayley gave you the Raptorscycles, right?"

Immediately the four nodded as Frost shot a panel next to the door causing an armored pair to close in front of them, locking them in the lab.

"You're a Power Ranger." Ethan declared, looking at his teacher who frowned.

"I was, not anymore." Tommy corrected with a note of regret, looking at Frost. "I no longer have the right to be one after what I've done."

At that moment, the door began to open with a furious Zeltrax trying to enter before several shots sent him retreating. With that, the rangers and Tommy looked at Frost who continued firing several lasers containing the villains on the other side.

"Can you guys hurry up!" Frost asked, firing at the monsters.

"Okay, guys, get in the portal, I'll be right behind you." Tommy orders, before heading towards an ice rock that has some kind of black glowing object inside.

"We'd better do what he says." Said Conner, heading towards the portal with the others before jumping into it and then disappearing.

Tommy went towards the portal ready to jump, but he stopped and looked at Frost still firing. 

"Are you coming with us?" called Tommy worriedly.

Hearing Tommy, Frost turned to him before facing the door where Mesogog was hiding from the gunfire, growling at him. Although he was very strong, he was badly wounded and nowhere near enough to kill Mesogog. If he prolonged the fight, he would surely die and that would make everything his father had done in vain. He had to run away to fight another day.

The indigo ranger sighed as he stopped shooting and ran to Tommy, allowing the villains to enter, before grabbing the teacher and jumping into the portal that closed behind them.

(With the other rangers.)

Conner, Ethan and Kira were now in their uniforms mounted on their motorcycles looking anxiously down the corridor where the portal should appear, waiting for their teacher and for Frost, even though they didn't get along with the latter.

"Where are they?" Conner asks, making the other two stare at him.

"Are they? If it's just Dr. O, I'll consider it a victory." Although he understood the friction between Ethan and Frost, it was still something that bothered Conner a little.

"Yes, both of them. Frost was with Dr. O, buying us time to escape."  Conner commented with a frown before looking at his two friends. "Look, I know we don't get along with him, hell I don't even like the guy, but he's also a power ranger like us, shouldn't we give him the benefit of the doubt?"

Upon hearing Conner's words, Ethan and Kira fell silent before the girl sighed and crossed her arms.

"I know, I guess we could try to get along, but he's not helping us either." Unfortunately, Conner knew it was true, Frost wasn't someone easy to get along with, always making scathing and sarcastic comments. However, everything he did was with the intention of helping them, turning them all into better Power Rangers.

Suddenly, an invisible portal formed behind them before Frost appeared with Dr. Oliver in his arms. The three Dino Thunder rangers couldn't hold back their sighs of relief when they saw the two of them approaching Frost's motorcycle. However, Conner soon notices his teacher carrying some kind of ice stone with something glowing inside it.

"Do we really need a souvenir?" Conner asks, looking at the stone in Tommy's arms.

"This is going to be really useful for us later." Declares Tommy before Frost starts the engine of his motorcycle and looks at the stone in the professor's hands.

"Can we go now? I don't want to give you any more of a ride than I have to." Commented the ranger, pointing behind where Elsa, Zeltrax, a squid-like monster and several Tyranodrones were running towards them.

"Great idea." Tommy replied, before sitting on Frost's back and earning a glance from the ranger.

"I recommend holding on tight." 

And with that the rangers enter the portal, but not without hearing Elsa's angry shout at them for running away.

(In the city.)

An invisible portal opened up as the rangers and Tommy drove through it at high speed before stopping their vehicles, watching as people began to flee upon noticing them, causing Ethan to look around in surprise.

"I think we made it." Frost breathed a sigh of relief as Tommy got off his bike with the rock under his arm.

"Yeah, but why is everyone running away from us? We're the good guys." Ethan asks, looking around, making Frost stare at him.

"We've just come out of an invisible portal, the same one that monsters come out of. At the very least, people are learning that if there's one of these portals, they should run." Frost explains, still looking at the stone in his teacher's hands. "Is that what I think it is?"

However, before Tommy could answer, a new invisible portal appeared with Zeltrax stepping out of it, firing beams from his sword at the rangers. Noticing this, Tommy stood in front of everyone, raising the stone in his hands to block the blow, making it glow.

"No, Tommy!" Frost exclaimed, getting up from his bike and running towards the professor.

Soon a flash blinded everyone as the stone in Tommy's hands exploded. When vision finally returned to Frost and everyone else, he looked over to where Tommy was and stared wide-eyed, seeing pieces of the stone lying on the ground without the slightest sign of the professor.

"...Doctor Oliver?" Frost murmured, shocked, before turning to face the other rangers who were distraught at Tommy's death.

"Such negativity."  Elsa, meanwhile, snorted at what she saw, making Frost glare at her. "Haven't you learned that in our world anything is possible?"

"Until the death of the great Dr. Tommy Oliver." Zeltrax mocks.

At this, Frost summons his axe and faces his opponents with raw determination and hatred. Suddenly, thunder echoes as the temperature becomes colder and two blue spheres glow in Frost's visor.

"...I agree." Frost declares in a voice devoid of emotion, taking a few steps forward as the blade of his axe is covered in blue fire. "After all, even with my power being ice I can create a cold flame and with that cold flame of mine I can vaporize you...I will vaporize you."

Before Frost could advance with the intention of killing his opponents, a hand grabbed his shoulder, causing the ranger to turn around. However, Frost's eyes widened when he saw none other than a very much alive Dr. Tommy Oliver smiling at him affectionately.

"Doctor... Oliver?"

"You missed me, didn't you?" Tommy asks with a smile before the mood returns to normal and the fire from the axe fades. Suddenly, Frost turned away from the professor with a grunt before turning to the villains.

"In your dreams."

Soon the other rangers approached them, all surrounding Tommy ecstatic that he was alive. Conner however noticed a glow coming from the professor's closed hand.

"Hey, Dr. O, what's that?" Conner asked, making Tommy open his hand to reveal a shiny black stone, a black dino stone.

"A black dino stone." Exclaims Ethan before rubbing the chin of his helmet. "Let me guess, the power of invisibility?" 

"You swear? I thought it let you create whipped cream from your fingers." Frost comments dryly, earning a punch in the arm from the yellow ranger.

"Do you always have an answer for everything?"  Kira complains, causing Frost to shrug.

"I improvise most of the time," admits Frost, making Tommy laugh.

"Yeah, I guess my power really is invisibility." 

"Excuse me, I hate to interrupt the tearful reunion, but that stone belongs to my master." Elsa growls angrily, making the five of them stare at her.

"There are two things you need to know about dino stones." Declares Tommy, stepping forward while facing Elsa. "First thing, you don't get to choose a dino stone, they do." 

This makes Elsa snort with amusement. "And what would the second thing be?"

With that Tommy turns his gaze to Frost, the indigo ranger noticing the pain and guilt in the professor's eyes.

"I'm sorry." whispers the man before turning around and raising his arm to reveal a morph. "They'll go very well with the dino morphers."

With that, Tommy slams the stone into the morph, causing it to glow with energy. Elsa meanwhile seemed slightly amused, but was more tense and not as confident as before.

"Aren't you a bit old for this, Tommy?"

"I may be old, it's true. But I'm still good enough." With that, Tommy pulls out a modified key while its inhabitant transfigures into another form with the head of a brachiosaurus.

"DINO THUNDER POWER UP HA!"

With that, Tommy began to transform into a power ranger, when the process was finished he was covered in a costume similar to those of the other rangers, but with two golden shoulder pads. His helmet resembled that of a brachiosaurus.

Frost stood frozen staring at the new dino ranger before sighing and turning his head, clearly annoyed. "Good, they're multiplying. At least now there's someone more experienced with us."

"One more makes no difference..." Growls Zeltrax as annoyed as Frost, the villain then points his sword at the rangers. "ATTACK!"

With that, the rangers met the villains and began to fight. The black ranger was quick to take on several opponents and dispatch them testing his new powers, the ranger was proud to see that he had taken down all the tyranodrones before he heard the sound of metal against metal behind him.

Tommy quickly turned around and was surprised to see Frost blocking Zeltrax, the two of them had their weapons out fighting for dominance.

"You let your guard down." Frost growled without turning from Zeltrax, causing Tommy to let out a small laugh.

"Give me a break, I'm a bit rusty." Comments Tommy before pulling out his gun and joining the fight against Zeltrax.

Frost and Tommy were twirling their weapons trying to cut Zeltrax down, but the villain demonstrated his skill with his own sword and shield by using them to block the two's blows skillfully. Frost then stepped back, changed his axe to a gun and fired a laser at Zeltrax, knocking him off balance, and Tommy was quick to kick his opponent in the chest.

Zeltrax was sent flying into a stone monument before falling and getting up only to fall to his knees. A blade appeared at his throat, causing the villain to look up and see Tommy staring at him.

"Go ahead, kill me." Zeltrax asked, accepting his fate as he opened his arms.

"No. I have a message for your boss, tell him Tommy's back and no matter what color I am, he'll never beat me." Tommy declared, looking directly at the villain. 

While this was going on, Frost stood silently watching as Zeltrax fled. After that, Tommy turned to the indigo ranger cautiously, after all he had tried to kill Zeltrax before and this time he did nothing.

"You didn't try to kill him." Tommy said confusedly, making Frost stare at him. "Why didn't you do anything this time?"

"You had a message for him." Frost replied, turning and heading towards the others. "Besides, now that you're a ranger again you can deal with him, if you were still a civilian, I'd prioritize your safety and kill him."

At that moment, the sky darkened as it rained, and soon they saw the monster growing to the approximate size of the buildings. Frost watched as the rangers reunited with Tommy while talking to Hayley. Frost watched as the rangers looked ready to call in their zords.

"...Once wouldn't kill anyone, I guess." Frost remarked, lifting the morpher closer to his helmet. "Carnotaurus, Mercuriceratops, annihilate!"

With that, the ground began to shake as a giant black Brachiosaurus appeared and right behind the big dino two other zords appeared roaring wildly, they were Frost's partners.

It didn't take long for the other rangers' zords to emerge from the Brachiosaurus and soon the five dinos were roaring at the monster in defiance.

"Ready?" Conner asked, raising his fist as he looked at Ethan and Kira.

"Ready!"

"Ready!"

"...You guys are ridiculous doing this." Frost sighed before jumping on Carnotaurus' head, making his zords unite into one. "Blizzard force megazord."

At the same time, he saw that his fellow rangers got into their own zords and began to form the megazord. Soon Blizzard and Thundersaurus were in battle position facing their opponent.

"Hey!" Exclaimed the angry monster, looking at the two of them. "Two against one isn't fair!"

"The world isn't fair." Frost replied before Blizzard zord raised his weapon and advanced towards the monster. The zord quickly slashed the monster across the chest before being pushed away.

At that moment, the thundersaurus stepped in between before attacking its opponent with the triceratops' head and slicing it with its drill arm. The monster turned around only for Blizzard's blade to hit it in the chest, sending the monster flying away.

To their surprise a new zord appeared, a purple pachycephalosaurus appeared jumping and punching the wind before settling on the Thundersaurus zord.

"Oh yeah!" Ethan celebrates before the three rangers rotate their arm, their movement being copied by the megazord with their power forming around the Thunderssaurus' fist.

"Cephalus power!" Exclaim the rangers at the same time before punching the air, at the same time, in the next zord Frost inserted his power into the sphere in front of him.

"It was ice!"

Outside, the head on Blizzard's chest opened its mouth, gathering a lot of wind and energy before firing a strong white blast that froze everything in its path until it hit the monster, creating a block of ice. The Thunderssaurus then attacked with its new arm, completely destroying the ice and the monster.

"THAT'S IT" celebrates Conner along with the other rangers as Frost's zord turns into an ice sculpture before shattering leaving a small shower of snow behind.

"Seriously, how does he do that?" Asks Kira, irritated and a little jealous, it would be nice to be able to do that after a megazord fight.

(Some time later)

In cyberspace, the three rangers were sitting on the sofa while Tommy stood in front of them.

"What a day..." Ethan sighed tiredly, leaning back on the sofa. "New vehicles, new zords." 

"Don't forget a new friend too." Conner commented, smiling across from Ethan. "Jason really helped us out this time."

"I don't know if we can consider him a friend yet, but he really helped us today." Kira comments.

"How about a mutual acquaintance that you hate, but we all hate the degenerate lizard even more?" A voice said from beside the four of them, causing them to jump in fright and turn towards the fountain.

Sitting on another sofa was Jason, calmly sipping a milkshake while looking at his own cell phone.

"How do you manage to do that?" Ethan asks in frustration.

"Irrelevant." Jason replies before turning to face Oliver. "You could also count on the ex-ranger who's back on the job, I didn't know you had a morph ready."

With that, all four rangers looked at the professor.

"Well... soon after you became rangers I received an energy reading similar to yours.  I assumed it was another stone and asked Hayley to make the new morph." Tommy explained, looking away from Jason who continued to sip his cold drink.

"What about the day of my show?" asked Kira, a little upset, but now calmer after everything that had happened.

"I was just going to warn you that the energy had changed and we needed to investigate," declared Tommy.

"When you had your guard down... sinister." Conner comments with his arms crossed, realizing how Mesogog could take advantage of any moment they were in their civilian life.

"Yeah, but it all worked out in the end...so I guess I should go now." The professor comments, getting up. 

"Where to?" Conner asks curiously.

"Shopping. I looked in my closet this morning and noticed that I don't have many black shirts." 

"...Are you serious? You're going to buy several shirts in the same color as your ranger counterpart?" asks Jason incredulously, making the other rangers finally notice that he was wearing a green shirt under a grey jacket.

"Yeah, have a great day." He waves to Tommy before leaving.

"...Do these two like each other or does Jason hate him? I swear I can't understand it." Kira comments, watching the teacher walk away. "Hey Jason, how do you manage to fight alongside Dr. O even after...Jason?"

The rangers looked around to realize that Jason had disappeared again.

"Seriously, how does he do that? I want to disappear like Batman too!" Ethan exclaimed in frustration.

Chapter Text

Kira was standing next to Ethan in front of the lockers picking up their books, it was almost funny that their lockers were next to each other. They were chatting amiably about what was new at school, trying to enjoy a bit of the normality of school compared to fighting giant monsters and evil dinosaurs. 

It was at that moment that they both heard someone running up to them, causing them both to turn around to see Conner standing next to them with an excited smile. The three exchanged a few greetings before starting to walk down the corridor.

"Did you hear?" Conner asks, walking alongside the other rangers down the school corridor.

"Heard about what ?" asks Kira curiously.

"There's a new girl at school." Reveals Conner excitedly, making the other two stare at each other before looking back at him.

"Okay... and what does that have to do with us?" Ethan asks uncertainly before lifting the bracelet with its dino stone. "We kind of don't have much time to make new friends with our double lives."

"I know, but wouldn't it be nice to have someone else in the group? I mean, maybe we could get someone a new dino stone and increase the number of girls on the team." Conner replied, earning a look from Kira.

"...Are you saying that because you want a girlfriend?" Ethan asks, his eyes narrowed at Conner, who looks shocked.

"What? Of course not, certainly not, no." Denies Conner incredulously looking away before crossing his arms. "...No."

"...It's moments like this that make me wonder if I made the right decision to ally myself with you." Declares a voice next to the three of them, causing them to shriek in shock at the sight of Jason standing next to them playing on his cell phone, seemingly immersed in the screen.

"When did you get here? And what are you doing here, Jason?" Kira asks in frustration.

"...I study here, three seats behind you in Dr. Oliver's class." Jason replies seriously, making the three of them widen their eyes.

"What!?"

"Really, I'm surprised you didn't notice me before. It should have been obvious after you got the dino stones."  Jason comments, starting to walk with his usual bored expression. "You might want to hurry, or you'll get detention."

With that Jason walks ahead of the rangers before disappearing into the crowd. Ethan snorted and shook his head before looking at his friends. "Seriously, how does he do that?"

"I don't know, but it was pretty cool," says a new voice behind them, startling them.

The three of them immediately turned around, only to open their eyes wide when they saw a Japanese girl staring at them curiously. She had straight black hair falling over her right shoulder, with a small fringe falling over the right side of her forehead; her eyes were an emerald green that shone with innocence and happiness.

She was wearing a white shirt, over it was a dark blue jacket with silver and indigo details, underneath she wore a black skirt with some yellow flowers, as well as large dark blue stockings. Around her neck was a simple gold necklace with a star on it.

"How does everyone manage to play Batman now?" Ethan asks exasperated, looking at Kira and Conner, making the girl tilt her head to the side with a confused expression.

"I didn't play Batman, I just saw that handsome guy and was going to talk to him, but he left before I could talk to him." the girl comments with a pout, crossing her arms and making the rangers freeze. "Anyway, my next class is starting soon, see you later!"

With that, the girl ran off through the crowd of students while the rangers turned and stared at her, leaving with their mouths hanging open.

"You heard the same thing I heard, right?" Conner asks incredulously.

"Did… that girl thought Jason was cute?" clarifies Ethan, winking, causing Kira to nod in shock.

"Yeah."

"...shit." declare all three at the same time before they hear someone sniffling behind them.

The three rangers stared at each other before slowly turning around to find Principal Randall staring at them with an annoyed scowl.

"After-school detention."

And that made the rangers groan in frustration.

"HOW DOES EVERYONE DO THIS NOW?" thought Ethan incredulously.

(A few hours later)

In cyberspace, Kira was finishing her performance of a song with her band. As soon as she finished, she was greeted by applause from some of the people present, while others continued chatting, playing games or eating. Kira thanked those who had listened to her before walking off the stage towards her fellow rangers.

"That was amazing," commented Conner, smiling. "Is it a song or something new?"

"Yeah, I'm still working on it, but I think it'll work out in the end." assures Kira excitedly.

"I'm telling you, if it doesn't work out as a power ranger, you have a future as a singer," says Ethan, smiling.

"It's kind of hard to have a musical career when you can hardly get anyone to listen to you play." Mutters Kira irritatedly as the waiter, Trent, comes over with some drinks and a sketchpad under his arm.

"Well... I was listening to you play and I think it was great." assures Trent with a smile.

"What have you got there?" asks Kira curiously, looking at the sketchpad.

"It's nothing," denies Trent, hiding the drawing with his other arm. "At least not until it's done."

"All right." smiles Kira as Trent leaves. 

"Nobody appreciates good music any more," declares Tommy with a sigh. "Nowadays, all that's on the radio are those pop songs."

"I'm inclined to agree with the old man here, I miss good old rock: AC/DC, Rolling stones, Beatles, Queen. I love those bands." Jason declares, placing a chair with them before sitting down, causing the three young people to stare at him wide-eyed.

"When did you get here?" Conner asks, looking at him and the door before noticing the same girl from before at school leaning against the wall staring at Jason. 

If that wasn't a warning sign, Conner didn't know what was, the girl was a nutter. A grimace appeared on the red ranger's face before he turned to Jason who stared at him with a raised eyebrow, confused by his expression.

"Conner? Everything all right?" asks Tommy worriedly as Conner nods.

"Everything's fine, I just had a bad thought, please continue." asks Conner trying to get it out of his head that this new girl was looking at Jason, hoping he could handle a crazy girl.

"Look, all of you together, I'm proud." Hayley said, approaching the rangers with a smile. "So what are you guys talking about?"

"The pop songs that are playing on the radio these days." replies Jason before lifting a milkshake and starting to drink, making Ethan's eyes widen.

"Where did you get that from?"

"Oh yeah," says Hayley. "There's even one in town now, what's her name again?  Kylee Styles?"

At that moment Kira's eyes went wide, something that went unnoticed by everyone in the group, except Jason who shrugged, he clearly didn't care. 

"Hey Kylee Styles has a good song!" Conner argued, making Jason and Tommy frown, they didn't like her music.

"Translation: He thinks she's pretty." Ethan commented, receiving an impressed look from Jason and an indignant look from Conner.

"...I think I'm being a great influence on you newbies." Jason reflects, receiving a tired look from Tommy.

"No." say all the rangers at once.

"One of you is enough for us, another would be the apocalypse." Kira growls before taking a deep breath.

She didn't like Jason, he was sarcastic, arrogant, rude and always knew how to touch a sore spot with them, but mostly, he threw mud at her.

"But back to the original subject, she was a great songwriter before," comments Kira, receiving the attention of her friends while Jason puts his drink on the table and puts his hands under the surface. "She was really cool too, but then it all turned to looks for her."

"You say that as if you'd been friends." Ethan declared, frowning.

"That's because we were friends," Kira replies, receiving a skeptical look from everyone. "What? It's true, we played in a band together, then she got discovered by this agent and now she's a pop diva."

"Oh, come on," Conner smiles, "you don't expect us to believe that, do you?"

"She's telling the truth, Red. Then look up Kira's first band, and besides..." comments Jason before raising his hands from under the table to reveal all the dino bracelets with him. "You must be more careful of your surroundings, constant vigilance, if I were an enemy you would have died."

With these words Jason leaves the bracelets on the table before leaving. The rangers quickly pick them up and put them on their wrists before Kira grunts angrily as she looks at Jason walking away.

"I really... I really hate him."

(Outside of the cyberspace.)

Jason walked a little way before stopping and seeing a man in a suit with his blond hair combed back in front of him. The two stared at each other for a few seconds, Jason quickly going from angry to cold as the man's eyes widened and he looked away.

"Anton Mercer..." Snarled the boy, staring at the adult. "What a 'pleasant' surprise."

"Jason." greets the man, stepping back. "I don't want any trouble."

"That's good to hear." comments Jason, stepping forward. "I'm crazy about trouble, I advise you to pray that it's not with you."

And with that Jason walked away, tapping the blond on the shoulder, but neither of them noticed a Japanese girl staring at them from the alley with a slight frown.

"I wonder what the story is with these two...Well, at least I found out his name, Jason, what a nice name..."

(Some time later, at the mall.)

Conner and Kira were in the parking lot after the 'big meeting' with the famous star Kylee Styles. Now the said singer was with her agents and security guards surrounded by several Tyranodrones and a large gray monster.

Kylee screamed in fright as her guards looked on in awe at the surrounding monsters.

"Get away from me, you lunatics!" exclaimed the terrified girl. "Don't you know who I am?"

"Of course I do, I'm a big fan," smiles the monster at the singer, before advancing with the tyranodrones.

Immediately Kira and Conner sprang into action when they saw the guards and agents fleeing, abandoning the singer. 

Conner immediately jumped in, kicking one tyranodrone into another before starting to block and attack those who approached him. Kira was grabbed by one of the tyranodrones, but she used her acrobatic skills thanks to the dino stone to escape and land a few kicks.

Just then, a Tyranodrone approached the singer from behind, but before it could grab her, a gray fist hit the creature in the face, sending it crashing into the car. The sound made everyone jump and look at the source only to open their eyes wide.

Standing behind the singer was a new power ranger. She was clearly a girl, but her costume was silver with a bit of armor around it, and she had lilac shoulder pads. Her helmet was silver with a gray drawing of a triceratops-like dinosaur face, but what most caught the rangers' attention was that her morphsuit had the face of the Mercuriceratops. The same Zord that forms Frost's Blizzard.

The ranger was in a fighting stance before advancing on her opponent in the car. Reaching him, she grabbed him and began to viciously hit him on the head several times before delivering a knee to the ribs and throwing the monster into the other Tyranodrones.

The new ranger stood still as she closed her fists and began to advance before stopping and facing the singer.

"Out, now." Kylee didn't need to be told twice before she started running while letting out a terrified scream.

The ranger ignored this before grabbing two tyranodrones by the head and slamming them into the ground causing a crater, after which she roared before starting to fight her opponents.

Conner and Kira stood watching this new ranger fight in a wild and violent manner, it was almost as if she were an animal slaughtering its prey.

"My God..." said a voice next to them, making them both jump and turn to see Frost staring at the scene before he started laughing, amused by the fight. "Does she have a boyfriend?" 

"Are you kidding me?" asked Kira incredulously, causing Frost to shrug.

"I don't know, the way she stomps on her opponents is different," comments Frost before raising his axe. "Anyway, I'm going over there to introduce myself, how about you guys go after the singer?"

With that Frost ran towards the battle leaving the rangers stunned before they heard a scream and went to check what had happened.

The ranger girl grabbed a Tyranodrone by the foot and was using it as a club before she heard a shot, she quickly turned around to see Frost pointing the gun at a Tyranodrone behind her that fell with smoke coming out of its back.

The ranger nodded before throwing the monster over her shoulder and approaching Frost.

"Hello!" exclaimed the girl in a cheerful tone, waving to Frost. "Thanks for hitting that monster behind me, you saved me there."

"Go ahead, but I'm sure you could take him down," assures Frost, nodding.

"Yes, that's true!" exclaims the girl clapping her hands. "I'm sorry, I think I got in your way, but I'm new in town and I couldn't let that woman get hurt."

"It's okay, I'm glad you did what you did, I'm Frost and you?" Frost asked, holding out his hand to her.

The girl immediately took it with a firm grip and shook it excitedly. 

"My name is Silver." 

(Some time later)

Conner had just returned to the base and came across Tommy and Ethan watching the new ranger's fight scene. Dr. Oliver looked noticeably paler as he ran a hand over his face.

"Dear Zordon, he's multiplying," murmured the professor a little fearfully.

"Unfortunately, I hope she's at least more... pleasant than Jason. " offers Conner, making Tommy relax.

"I hope you're right." Just then, the alarm started ringing as Ethan opened a screen showing the new monster attacking some people in the square and stealing their energy.

Ethan stared at the scenes for a few moments before turning to the other two rangers.

"A donkey capable of taking away people's youth?" Ethan commented, frowning as he observed the new monster and what it was doing to people. "That's very strange."

"Mesogog probably found a way to turn youth into energy." Tommy said somberly, looking at the image. "Where's Kira?"

"She's with Kylee in cyberspace, it seems that seeing her old age caused her to collapse, not that I blame her, but man... it was brutal." replied Conner with a distant look as he shuddered.

"We'll talk about respecting our elders later," says Tommy, rolling his eyes as he gets up from his chair. "But right now we have some business to attend to."

With that, the three rangers made their way to the middle of the base before summoning their morphers.

"Ready?" asked Tommy, receiving nods from his students.

"DINO THUNDER POWER UP HA!"

(In cyberspace.)

Jason was in the corner drinking a milkshake while watching Kira try to console Kylee. The singer was in a sorry state crying and screaming while the yellow ranger was trying, unsuccessfully, to calm her friend down.

"...That's why friendship outside the power ranger circle doesn't help much." commented Jason before turning his eyes to a girl approaching him with a milkshake of her own, he immediately recognized her as the new student at his school, but now, he could see the bracelet on her wrist with a silver dino-stone.

"Hi..." said the girl, giving him a cute smile.

"...Hi." greets Jason back, raising an eyebrow before turning to face Kira.

"You're a good fighter." declares Jason, making the girl's eyes widen, losing all her cuteness as her eyes widen in surprise.

"Huh? ...How do you know?" she asks wide-eyed.

"...Your bracelet is in plain sight and in case you hadn't noticed before, dino stones kind of get hotter when another one is nearby." comments Jason pointing to the same one with a silver dino stone. "So...Silver?"

"oh..." the girl blushed and looked away, embarrassed at having been discovered so easily. "I-I..."

"Relax, I'm a ranger too, I'm Frost, but call me Jason when I'm out of uniform." declared Jason with a calm look, making the girl stare at him in surprise.

"A-ah... Okay, nice to officially meet you Jason, my name is Wendy Yamamoto."

 "YES! He and Frost are the same person... so Frost really is a handsome guy... He's looking at me, I have to say something!" thought Wendy excitedly, turning her eyes all around before noticing Kira, the girl Frost was watching earlier.

She narrowed her eyes at the sight of Kira, Wendy had always wanted to meet someone powerful like her, a Power Ranger who had no problem with the way she fought and trained. Unlike many, her father discovered the silver dino-stone and when Wendy was chosen by it, her father helped her adapt to its powers and abilities.

Since then she has practically lived in isolation for fear of hurting other people with her super strength. Then she and her father found out about the Power Rangers appearing in this town and they came here, which led to Wendy meeting Frost, a ranger who didn't even seem to mind the way she faced her enemies.

Before she arrived, Wendy researched the rangers and after a few days researching them she found out about Frost, the ranger who was more violent and brutal than the others, but... he was so amazing. She had always been a big fan of the Power Rangers, but something about Frost attracted her more than anyone else she knew.

Now that she knew him, she wasn't going to lose him. No way.

"Yamamoto? That's not..."

"Japanese? Yes, my surname Japanese," the girl clarified with a tense smile. "Why was he staring at that girl? Does he like her? Is she a love rival?"  

"Yes, my father is Japanese, my mother is American, I recently moved here." Wendy explains.

"I see, well... welcome to the reef coast... I'll pray for your sanity." jokes Jason, making Wendy laugh a little.

"You're funny."

"Thanks, it's always nice to meet someone who appreciates my sense of humor," says Jason, smiling at the girl. "So your dinosaur is Mercuriceratops?"

"Yes... and yours is a carnotaur?"

"Yes, I think we're going to be megazord partners," says Jason with a smile.

"Look, you've made a friend, that's really cool." Hayley comments, approaching them both with a gentle smile, making them stare at her. "But I think you need to go now, the others need your help."

"Okay, then." replied Jason, throwing his milkshake in the garbage can before grabbing Wendy's hand and dragging her with him. The action shocked Hayley and Wendy, who stared at the boy in disbelief.

"Oh MY GOD! Frost is taking my hand, he's taking me with him...Oh God, I'm not ready for this!" thinks Wendy a mile a second with various scenarios popping into her head. However, as soon as they leave she notices Kira going along with them, but the girl stares at Jason a little confused.

"RIVAL OF LOVE!" thinks Wendy angrily.

(Some time later)

"All right, we've got him cornered." declares the red ranger looking at the monster inside a tennis court with only one exit, that being the one behind the rangers.

"That's what you think!" declared the monster before lasers shot out of its nose and threw the rangers to the ground in a shower of sparks.

The monster smiled before taking a threatening step forward. "It's over rangers."

Just then, several shots hit the monster, sending it crashing to the ground. With that, Silver rushed over before jumping on top of the creature, the ranger grabbed its neck and began slamming it into the ground several times, causing it to crack before throwing her opponent backwards.

On the other side, Frost was holding his axe like a tennis racket. As soon as the creature got close to him, the indigo ranger struck it with his axe, sending the creature into the net. Before the monster could recover, Silver grabbed its fur and threw it backwards.

Soon, Frost and Silver were side by side before facing each other and clasping their fists together as Kira approached the red and blue ranger.

"Well done."

"Thank you, you were very good too!" exclaimed Silver excitedly.

"Oh great, more youth for me!" declared the monster, looking at Kira before she let out a sonic scream at him.

"I don't think so." sneers the girl before summoning her morpher.

"DINO THUNDER FULL FORCE HA!"

Silver stared at the transformation for a moment before turning to face Frost while pointing at Kira.

"Are they actors?"

Frost laughed lightly before hugging Silver, earning a surprised squeal from her. 

"Thanks, I needed to hear that from someone else," said Frost cheerfully, pulling away from Silver.

Meanwhile, Silver froze staring at Frost, her face flushed enough to be seen behind her helmet. 

"...Are we really seeing this?" asked Conner, looking at the two rangers.

"...I wish I hadn't seen it." declared Kira before the rangers rallied to attack the monster, but it fired its lasers from its nose, which this time glowed crimson, knocking down the three thunder rangers.

However, Frost used his axe to absorb the blow and direct the rays back at the monster, causing it to scream in pain.

"It's my turn now!" declared Silver before releasing her weapon from her belt to reveal two gauntlets resembling her dinosaur's head, the ranger clenched her fists before leaping towards the monster.

When she reached it, she began to apply several punches, hitting it in various places and causing small bangs before applying a blow to the creature's chin, sending it straight to the ground.

"Now we're talking!" exclaimed Silver before Frost came close to her, switching from axe mode to rifle mode.

"Not bad, you did well and..."

"STOP!" they hear the red ranger shouting behind them.

Frost quickly grabs Silver and jumps out of the way as the shot passes where they were standing before hitting the monster causing it to explode into several pieces.

"Damn you assholes, that just makes it easier for them to grow!" growls Frost, getting up. "And you almost hit us! Do you want to kill us?"

"Oh my kami, he's fighting them for me... HA! TAKE THAT RIVAL OF LOVE!" exclaims Silver in her mind.

However, she soon realizes that Frost is holding out his hand to her, making her accept it and stand up. Once on his feet, the indigo ranger began to stare at her, making her blush.

"...What are you doing?"

"Seeing if you're hurt, everything seems fine, but tell me, does anything hurt?" asked Frost worriedly.

"I'm fine, but I want to destroy that idiot first," comments Silver, pointing at the giant monster roaring at them.

Frost looked at the creature before seeing the Brachiosaurus approaching with the other three dino-zords, at which point he faced Silver with a smile hidden by his helmet.

"Would you like to see a giant megazord?" asked Frost, prompting Silver to nod.

"Of course!"

With that, they both brought their morphers close to their mouths.

"Carnotaurus!"

"Mercuriceratops"

"annihilate !" They both shout together.

With that, the sky darkened as the snow began to fall, and soon the roars were heard. Carnotaurus and Mercuriceratops appeared with an icy mist coming out of their bodies, and Frost and Silver jumped into their bio-zords.

"Blizzard Force Megazord!" exclaim the two rangers inside their zords.

Their zords soon transformed into the giant warrior Blizzard, at which point the thundersaur appeared next to them with his drill pointed at the monster.

"RIVAL OF LOVE!" growled Wendy from inside her dinosaur, glaring at the other megazord. Frost stared at the other megazord before looking at Silver.

"We had an alliance between them and me, after all, rangers in groups are stronger." Frost comments, before laughing mischievously. "But since they attacked me, I think our alliance is over, so I guess it's just you and me on the team now."

"Just you and me?" comments Silver, turning red and turning her head away. Unfortunately, before she could comment, Blizzard was struck by lightning from the monster as the Thundersaur advanced.

"Okay, that's it, let's annihilate our opponents!" Silver exclaims before placing his hands on the ice sphere in front of him.

"You took the words right out of my mouth, let's go!" laughed Frost.

At that moment, Blizzard's eyes lit up before he swung his sword towards the fight taking place in front of him.  Frost glanced at the people running through the streets trying to get away from the megazords fighting.

"Silver." calls Frost before pointing at the people. "We should get these assholes out of town before someone gets hurt." 

"Roger that!"

With that, Blizzard ran towards the monster and the Thudersaur and grabbed them both, lifting them onto his shoulders.

"Hey, let me go!" shouts the monster, trying to free itself.

(At the thundersaurus.)

"WHAT'S HE DOING?" asks Ethan, grabbing the energy sphere in front of him so he doesn't fall.

"AND I'M GOING TO KNOW?" exclaims an irritated Kira in a similar position.

Conner remained silent as if something was bothering him.

(At the blizzard.)

"Time to play the hero!" comments Frost, grinning wildly and receiving a nod from Silver.

"Let's go!"

With that Blizzard carried the two giants on his shoulders out of the city before throwing them into the forest. Thundersaurus picked himself up off the ground before receiving a blow from Blizzard's blade before being kicked back to the ground.

"Jason, what the hell is this!?" exclaims Conner suddenly, trying to lift the megazord. "We're all on the same side!"

Blizzard stomps on Thundersaurus before the carnotaur's mouth opens and shoots out a strong wind that freezes the megazord.

"Oh no! We're trapped!" exclaims Kira, shivering with cold.

"HA! Only one of you is no match for me!" exclaims the monster before the blade enters its chest, Blizzard stares at the monster with cold eyes as it writhes on his blade. 

"...Are you all right?" asked Frost, looking at Silver who was watching quietly.

"Of course I am," said the girl in a neutral tone. "Shall we get this over with?" 

"Whatever you want." declared Frost, causing Silver to blush.

Blizzard quickly turned the weapon and cut the monster in two. The megazord watched as the creature turned to ice before exploding into thousands of snowflakes, after which the megazord turned into an ice statue and broke.

(A while later)

"Do you want to explain to me why you felt the need to shoot a fellow ranger in the back?" asks Tommy with a serious frown, looking at his shivering students covered in thick blankets.

"I don't know..." mumbles Conner, clenching his teeth as if in conflict with himself. "I-I don't really remember what happened. All I remember was those monster rays and then I just felt anger."

"It wasn't any anger..." continues Kira, trembling too. "It was the anger we always feel when something has to do with Frost and Mesogog's monsters."

"Yes... It was as if at that moment all I could think about was how much I hated him and the monster. - Ethan concluded.

"Oh, you guys, you're going to break my heart," said a voice from the doorway, making everyone turn to look at Frost and Silver leaning against the door of the base.

"Wow, I love the way this place is decorated," comments Silver as he jumps into the base and looks around, but his gaze stops momentarily on Kira.

"Love's rival..." thought Silver with a frown hidden by his helmet. Unaware of his partner's inner tube, Frost walks further into the base towards the rangers.

"I took the proper precautions, you weren't in your normal state of mind and you were with a giant robot in the middle of a city, if I hadn't done anything you could have stepped on some civilian or worse." warns Frost in an icy tone before facing Tommy.

"Dr. Oliver, the terms of our alliance have been revoked, from now on the dino thunder are their own team and I with the dino winter are another... The next time you betray me and come to fight behind my back, I will hunt you down." threatens Frost before turning and starting to follow, being accompanied by Silver who waves goodbye to the other rangers.

"Jason, they were under mind control, their opponent used their feelings towards you to manipulate them." begins Tommy, defending his students.

"Then it's just another reason for you and me to split up." Frost declares, turning to face the elderly ranger with pure anger. -"How am I supposed to stay in a team that can't even trust me? You think I'm violent and dangerous, they hate me, this alliance was never meant to last."

"You could have been nicer too!" exclaims Tommy, getting in Frost's face.  "Since you arrived, all you've done is humiliate and belittle them, that's not how a team behaves, you should know that!"

"Don't give me that Doctor Oliver, should I remind you that it was you who called me to this team in the first place?" hisses Frost as the temperature drops dramatically. "I was doing very well on my own, you invited me to join your club, and it's worth pointing out that whenever I said something I pointed out their mistakes in detail and Conner was the only one to listen and try to improve himself, I congratulate him for that, but today was the last straw."

With that Frost turned again and walked over to Silver as the two stopped at the door. "Oh and before I forget, don't ever try to get me to help you again, I won't."

With that, the two rangers from the new Dino Winter team left the ranger base with no intention of ever returning. 

(Later in cyberspace.)

"So Wendy..." begins Jason, sitting on a sofa with his back to the whole Kira show. "How did you get your dino stone?"

"Well... it's a present from my father actually, he was a scientist and heard about a similar project from a good friend of his, so he tried to replicate it when he found the silver dino-stone." begins Wendy looking at her bracelet fondly before facing Jason with a smile. "But the stone wouldn't let him use its power, so one day I picked it up and was able to use its power."

The girl's cheerful smile made Jason raise an eyebrow before he snorted with amusement, earning a flushed look from the girl.

"...You should smile more..." Wendy commented quietly, looking away. "...You have a nice smile."

"oh... thank you." thanks Jason with a little hint of red on his cheeks.

The two sat in a comfortable silence as they sipped milkshakes, oblivious to the whole show around them, until the pop diva started singing along with Kira. 

Jason smiled discreetly. Although he had lost his allies, he had gained something better, a partner and probably a team in the near future, bringing him closer to defeating Mesogog once and for all.

Chapter Text

A crash echoed through the forest as a tree was knocked down, scaring away the nearby animals who ran away from the accident. After that, Wendy and Jason leapt towards the fallen tree trunk, landing easily on the ground as they faced each other ready to fight before they lunged forward exchanging blows with each other.

Each of their attacks had energy and they didn't seem to hold back, it was like two violent animals fighting over territory. Wendy unleashed a series of punches that seemed to make Jason wince just by blocking them, forcing him to dodge before countering with his own blows.

They continued like this for a while before walking away breathing heavily. Wendy smiled at the boy in front of her.

"That was a good warm-up, but I think it's good if we train a bit more seriously, don't you, Jason?" Wendy asked, before her body took on a silvery hue as if she were metal and she slammed her fists together with a small bang before getting into a boxing stance.

Jason realized this and smiled back before letting out a sigh along with a small mist. The air around him getting colder and the dry leaves around him freezing, the boy got into a fighting stance similar to Wendy.

The two soon ran to face each other again and almost immediately Jason was thrown against a tree, through it before rolling to the ground with a grunt. He lay there for a few seconds before snorting and getting up with an excited smile.

"...So the power of your dino stone is super strength? How cliché." Jason commented with a smile.

"Maybe it's cliché, but it's very effective, since you have ice powers and that's very strong."  Wendy smiles at him before slamming her fist against her palm with a loud thud. "Now shall we continue training or are you too scared to attack me?"

Jason stood silently watching before sighing, this time a small blue flame began to cover his arms, before he held them out to Wendy and shot two jets of fire at her. Wendy's eyes widened before she jumped out of the way of the attack feeling an intense cold instead of heat, she shivered slightly before the sensation went away as the fire dissipated, allowing her to see snow and ice where the fire had passed.

"...What was that?" Wendy asks in surprise.

"That was my power." declares Jason, raising his hand to show a small blue flame between his fingers. "I've been exposed to the power of the Dino-stone for longer than anyone else, so my powers are more potent than anyone else's. I've been exposed to the power of the Dino-stone for longer than anyone else, so my powers are more potent than anyone else's. Each of the dino-stones has a power representing a fraction of the meteor and the dinosaurs, why I don't know yet, but my stone was made of ice, it's the coldest part of the meteor that brought the stones." 

"My power is based on that, a cold flame that burns everything in its path, it gets stronger according to my emotions." Jason explains before the fire goes out. 

"I see, that really is an incredible power... even more so if you've had more time to train with it than we have." Declares Wendy wide-eyed, but before they could say more their bracelets began to glow, making them both stop and stare at each other.

"I guess duty calls." Commented Jason a little annoyed as his morpher formed, something Wendy nodded at, making his morpher appear on his wrist in a similar fashion.

"Yeah, let's go."

With that the two of them pressed the buttons on their morphers causing ice to form around them, as soon as they were completely covered, the ice began to crack before breaking up, with the pieces flying off in random directions revealing Frost and Silver standing there in their uniforms.

"Come on, Silver." Frost declares, receiving a nod from Silver.

(A few minutes later)

Frost and Silver quickly arrived in Hayley's cyberspace, which was empty. The two rangers exchanged a glance before Silver pointed to herself and then to cyberspace, prompting her partner to nod, at which point Frost withdrew his axe and headed towards the alley while Silver entered the establishment.

Silver entered, keeping her fists closed and slightly raised if she needed to fight, she was looking around, but soon relaxed when she saw Ethan working on a computer with a strange device next to him. The ranger looked over his shoulder and was incredulous at what she saw.

"You're trying to crack the secret code of the Wizard’s Forest!" Silver exclaimed, startling Ethan, causing him to turn to her, startled and wide-eyed. "And what about the person who honestly discovers the code!? You're a cheater!"

"Hey, just so you know, this is one of the best games around! It's not like I'm going to miss it!" exclaims Ethan angrily, ignoring the part where she accused him of cheating.

"Of course I know this is one of the best games around! Mage Forest is my favorite game and I've almost cracked the code! You big jerk, you're just another egotist, you should be a Power ranger!" growls Silver, pushing the boy back in his chair with his finger, not noticing how he shudders with each push. "And we don't do things like that."

"It's game time!" A voice speaks from outside cyberspace, drawing the attention of Silver and Ethan, who turn towards the entrance.

However, they can only watch as a bolt of energy passes through them and hits the machine Ethan was using. Several sparks come out of the machine, surprising both Silver and Ethan, who jumps out of his chair looking at the state of the machine.

"Wow!" Ethan exclaims with wide eyes as a green light emanates from the computer and pulls both Ethan and Silver into the computer screen.

"FROST!" Silver shouts before disappearing.

Just then, a blonde-haired girl in a pink princess-like dress appears, as does a brown-haired boy in plain clothes, carrying a camera.

"Where did he go?" asks the surprised girl, looking around as the boy approaches looking disappointed and exhausted.

"You see? I told you we should have hurried, now he's gone."

Just then, the monster appeared at the window again and saw the other two. "Oh, two more for the little game." 

"Not so fast." A hand grabbed the monster's shoulder and threw it into the opposite wall, creating a few cracks, revealing Frost staring at the creature with the visor of his helmet glowing with a mist forming on the windows behind him.

Frost stared at the creature for a few seconds before gently tapping on the cyberspace glass, drawing the attention of the two teenagers inside who turned and seeing the power ranger and the monster on the other side of the window opened their eyes wide in fright.

"Get out of here." 

Wisely, the two teenagers grabbed their things and ran. Frost watched them go before turning to face the monster as he raised his axe, which seemed to have its blades frozen...

"Now, let's talk, shall we? What did you do to Silver?" asks the ranger angrily.

(In the game, 'wizard's forest'.)

Ethan and Silver appeared in a flash of light before plummeting from the trees to the ground, both groaning in pain before slowly getting up and looking around at their surroundings.

"That was weird." Ethan commented, looking up at the trees as Silver stared at him angrily. "What happened?"

"Really? You were just playing and you can't recognize the place? Holy shit, there's a purple moon in the sky!" Silver exclaims angrily, glaring at Ehtan as she spreads her arms to indicate her surroundings. "We've entered the game, we're somewhere between Dragon perch and Cara's village. Is that a good explanation, or do you need me to draw it?"

"Hey, how was I supposed to know that was going to happen?" Ethan complains, looking at Silver, almost as annoyed as she is. "And how could you know all this? The purple moon may have shown it, but you can't tell the rest." 

"Oh, don't give me that 'I didn't know this was going to happen', you shouldn't even be trying to figure out the code in the first place! Besides, you play the game and you don't know the map! I've walked around here so much that I know the whole environment!"

"B-but..."

"State your intentions, young knights, or you'll die right there." A voice spoke from Ethan's right, making them both turn to face the new arrival, Ethan confused and Silver looking mortified.

It was a medium-sized man wearing purple robes, looking like a wizard, in his left hand was a broom and in the other a magic wand. He had a long red beard, something that caught both of their attention.

"...Do you need any more evidence that we're in on the game, Sherlock?" Mocks Silver.

Ethan looked at the girl angrily before turning to the magician and trying to smile in a friendly way.

"This is all a big misunderstanding, dude."

"Dude?" Repeats the confused wizard looking around. "I don't see any 'dude' here, just Beldorf, the wizard from Galdor."

"As Frost would say: Amazing." Silver jokes, looking tired of the situation before raising her head in thought. "Is he thinking of me? Or is love's rival seducing him while I'm here?"

(Meanwhile)

The monster screams as it is thrown into a wall before Frost walks towards it with the axe on his shoulder, looking much scarier than before to the monster that tried to get up before the Ranger stepped on its chest raising the axe.

"Where's Silver?"

(Back with Silver and Ethan.)

"And you're no friend of mine, with that attitude you must be a member of the Lockersley clan. Beasts of burden all of them." Growls Beldorf.

"...Ethan don't make it worse, I'll see if there are any other npc's around." Whispers Silver, as he takes the opportunity to study his surroundings.

"I'm actually from..."

"You don't have the stature of a giant, so you must not be from the east." Beldorf declares.

"I'm actually..."

"Then there's only one possibility." Beldorf exclaimed, raising his wand and pointing it at Ethan menacingly. "You're from the West and you've come to steal my secret code."

"Well... something like that?" Ethan commented, making Silver immediately turn towards the pair, seeing Beldorf jump backwards, more alert than before.

"What did you just say?" Silver asks, wide-eyed.

"Get away!" Beldorf exclaims angrily. "Get out of my sight, get as far away as you can, or I'll make you fall where you stand!" Threatens Beldorf, before anything can be done Ethan is punched in the face before collapsing to the ground, much to the surprise of the wizard who has turned his attention to Silver.

The wizard looked incredulously at the girl in the silver outfit who bowed to the wizard. "Greetings Oh Beldorf, wizard of Galdor, allow me to introduce myself." 

With that, Silver stands up with a straight back and a confident pose with his face raised behind his helmet, looking directly at Beldorf.

"My name is Silver, I'm a warrior from the north, we don't like to get involved in East and West situations, I'm not looking for your secret code, oh magnanimous one, all I ask is for some help getting back to my kingdom while I take this..." Silver paused for a second, staring at Ethan.  “Rogue cheater back, to face the justice of my people, I've been hunting him for some time and finally managed to capture him."

"You seem like an honorable person, Lady Silver." Beldorf declares, taking the ranger's hand and kissing her fingers. "I'll allow you asylum in my forest for now, but you'll have to leave soon."

"That's the plan and once again I thank you Wizard Beldorf, I will never forget your generosity and I will spread the word about your benevolence to my people." Silver thanks him, bowing his head slightly in respect, making the wizard perk up.

"Very well, follow me then, Lady Silver." Exclaims Beldorf turning around before starting to leave.

Silver quickly picks Ethan up by slinging him over her shoulder and follows the wizard through the video game grounds.

"I wanted Frost here..."

(In Cyberspace.)

Conner and Kira walked along the cyberspace street calmly approaching the establishment.

"Do you think he's still here?" Conner asked, looking at the windows and seeing no one inside.

"I don't know, let's check." Kira suggests.

Just then, a sound caught their attention: behind them was a monster that looked like a mixture of a magnet and a coral with a radio. The monster growled at them before dodging a blow from Frost and kicking the ranger towards Conner and Kira. 

"Great, as if missing Ethan wasn't enough." Conner growled, glaring at the monster as Frost stood up. 

"I see our paths have crossed again." Frost greeted angrily, giving the other two a quick glance while pointing his axe at the creature.

"If you're looking for your friend, you're too late." Mocks the creature. "Unless you want to join him."

Frost sneers, going to assemble his axe into cannon form when Kira and Conner run past him towards the monster, causing Frost to have to raise his gun in annoyance to avoid shooting them both.

"...Our synchronicity is horrible." sighs Frost before rushing into the fray and delivering a volley at the monster, causing Conner to back away and turn on his communicator.

"Dr. O, we found a little friend of Mesogog and Frost, but not Ethan," warns Conner.

"I'm tracking him, keep distracting the monster while I determine the coordinates." Warns Tommy over the comm.

Suddenly, Kira was thrown into Conner causing them both to fall to the ground, the monster snarled at them before blocking a punch from Frost by grabbing the ranger's neck and sending him backwards. The creature roared, firing lasers at them, causing the three rangers to hide behind some boxes.

"Talk is easy." Conner comments before turning back to the fight, switching off his communicator.

(In-game.)

"Thank you for your hospitality, mage Beldorf, it was very helpful." Silver assures the wizard, smiling as he leaves his hut.

"I'm glad to hear it, even though it wasn't much help, I hope you'll be able to return to the North soon." Beldorf smiles at Silver with a bow of his own before he closes the door.

Silver stared at the door for a few seconds before turning and walking to the entrance of the house where Ethan was leaning against the small stone fence. As soon as she approached him, Silver knelt down and shook his shoulder, causing the boy to start waking up.

"Ouch." Ethan stands up shaking his head until he sees Silver and remembers what she did... "Hey! Why did you hit me?"

"You antagonized our only source of information, I needed to regain his trust fast, it was just the easiest way." Silver explains, looking both ways down the small road. "And apart from that, you deserved it." 

Ethan remained silent before sighing. "Yes, you're right, I shouldn't have done what I did, it was wrong."

"Yeah." Silver commented before stopping abruptly and looking around with Ethan, they were being watched, strange sounds began to echo around them.

"That's not good." Silver raised his fists in a combat stance, something Ethan copied.

At that moment, several one-eyed creatures appeared, some of which were completely white and others black, but the most bizarre thing about them was the weapons they carried, which looked like a sword with two blades. The monsters made a strange sound before advancing on the rangers with their weapons raised.

"Oh no, it's the Barmia Hei." Silver curses as Ethan's eyes widen.

"You mean the mobs that are half human and slime?" Ethan asks as the creatures attack, causing the two to separate.

"Yes!" Silver exclaims before grabbing the arm of one of the monsters before hauling it away, throwing it into a group of monsters.

She soon found herself surrounded by them and began distributing kicks and kicks to each of the monsters that approached her. Looking over, she noticed that Ethan wasn't doing too well and Bendorf opened the window to see the commotion, his eyes widening at the sight of the Barmia Hei. 

"Wonderful." With that Silver grabs the head of one of the monsters before smashing it into another of the creatures.

After that, she pressed her belt causing a pair of gauntlets resembling the head of her zord to cover her fists. Silver slammed the two together causing a few sparks to fly before leaping towards one of her opponents and punching it in the chest.

The creature flew off at high speed, with Silver starting to attack the other monsters around her, sending them backwards or to the ground. The girl soon turned around and raised one of her fists and punched the ground hard, creating a tremor that knocked down the creatures around her.

Just then she felt two of the creatures grab her arms, making her smile. With little effort, she raised her arms and threw the creatures away.

The sound of footsteps behind her made her groan in annoyance before she turned and faced more of the approaching creatures.

"I know it's fun to beat these kinds of opponents in the video game, but now it's kind of getting on my nerves." growls the girl before clenching her fists and running towards them.

(Meanwhile outside cyberspace.)

An explosion occurred, sending the rangers behind some boxes. Frost, Conner and Kira took a moment to breathe deeply as the monster laughed as it approached them.

"This would be a good time to find Ethan." Conner commented, eyeing the creature.

"Try to distract him, I'll look inside." Kira asked, receiving nods from Conner and Frost.

"Go fast, I don't know how long before this thing brings reinforcements." Conner warns as Frost snaps his neck.

"I can do this all day."

"Okay." nods Kira before she gets up and runs into cyberspace.

At the same time, Frost stood up firing his gun as Conner jumped out of the boxes and ran towards the creature.

(With Kira.)

Once inside cyberspace she noticed how empty the place was, but a computer remained on and it showed Ethan and Silver fighting black and white monsters.

"Ethan? Wendy?" she noticed the machine next to the computer and narrowed her eyes. "What's that?"

The machine let out a few sparks before a light appeared over Kira and she was pulled into the computer.

(In the mage forest)

Ethan wasn't doing too well against the new creatures, he was immobilized by one before being kicked to the ground. Half a second later a scream echoed in the sky before Kira fell to the ground behind the boy, she raised her head and looked startled at her surroundings.

"Wow, the reinforcements have arrived!" Silver commented with a tilt of his head. "LOVE RIVAL!"

"Welcome to my world." Greets Ethan, standing up with Kira.

"I bet you don't know how we're going to get out of here, do you?" Kira asks, receiving a look from Silver. The ranger has trapped one of the monsters under her arm with her arm holding the creature's neck.

"We're working on it." Silver declares before throwing the spinning creature violently to the ground.

"I don't even know how we got here." Ethan comments.

With that, they were quickly separated by the creatures, struggling to take down a few before reuniting with their backs to each other. At the same time, Silver jumped in front of them and punched one of the creatures in the face, making the sound of breaking glass and cracking his opponent's face.

"Have you tried morphing?" Kira asks.

"What would you get out of it?" Ethan asks, before receiving a look from the two girls.

"How about we stay alive until we find a way out?"  Kira comments sarcastically before kicking one of the monsters away.

"Okay, that's a good idea." Ethan replies, lifting his bracelet and summoning his morpher. "Ready?"

"Ready." Kira nods, summoning her own morph.

"And here we go." Silver laments, hiding his face between his hands.

"DINO THUNDER FULL FORCE NOW!"

"Come on!" Exclaimed Ethan in battle stance receiving a nod from Kira, but to their surprise Silver was already fighting, the two of them soon went on the attack.

As they fought, Silver couldn't help but notice how they were fighting better, more in sync than before, and a small smile appeared on her face at this.

"If love's rival is more interested in someone else, then I'll have Frost all to myself!" thought Silver radiantly with a giggle, thinking about her future with Frost, something that made the creatures next to her look at each other in confusion.

(Out of Cyberspace)

Conner was exchanging blows with the creature, but he ended up being outmatched and was thrown towards the entrance. The creature smiled before turning and starting a fight with Frost.

Conner groaned as he stood up, the pain of the blows getting the better of him, the boy saw Frost struggling with the creature before it punched the ranger and fired a laser at the same time, sending the indigo ranger flying away. Irritated Conner formed his morph before standing up.

"I'll finish you off!" Exclaimed Conner angrily.

"Thunder dino, go..."

"Fire!" Exclaims the creature sending a laser at Conner and sending the boy into cyberspace. 

"CONNER!" Calls Frost worriedly before facing the creature and running towards it with his axe raised.

(Inside cyberspace)

Conner flies in, crashing into the counter before being thrown into the computers, in which case he crashes into the machine Ethan had taken, causing it to short circuit.

In a flash of white Conner saw Ethan and Kira in their ranger forms, Silver and various black and white creatures.

"What the hell?" Conner asked, seeing the confusion in his friends and opponents realizing the change of scenery, but they were soon back to fighting.

"What's going on?" asks the red ranger, totally confused.

"Don't even ask!" Kira exclaims, blocking one of the creatures as Silver lifts another by the neck.

"Where's Frost?" 

"Outside, but..." Replies Conner only to blink seeing Silver leaving cyberspace. "Wow, she's as fast as the raptors now."

(Outside.)

Frost and the creature were in a stalemate exchanging punches before the two grabbed each other's hands and stared at each other.

"Where's Silver?" Frost growled angrily as a thin layer of ice began to form around the monster's hands.

"In a place you'll never find!" Declares the monster before something grabs its waist and throws it away, the creature lifts its head and is surprised to see Silver.

"You... you're dead." Silver threatened, snapping her fist, then she made a fighting stance.

"I couldn't agree more." Frost commented, taking a step forward, but in his tone there was a small layer of relief, something that only Silver noticed.

"OH MY GOD, HE WAS WORRIED ABOUT ME! TAKE THAT LOVE RIVAL!"

At that moment, the rangers also came out of cyberspace and the five of them began to fight the creatures.

The monster, seeing that it had no chance against the five of them, moved far enough away to open an invisible portal.

"I'm going to fall out."

"It's too late!" Conner sneered at the creature before Kira and Ethan appeared behind him as Frost and Silver stared at the other creatures fleeing. "Let's check out this game of Ethan's."

"It's the Wizard's forest..." Silver muttered angrily.

With that the three rangers entered cyberspace, Silver was about to follow them when a hand grabbed her wrist. The ranger turned around and was immediately enveloped in a tight hug from Frost, causing her to start blushing.

"F-Frost?" Stuttered the surprised girl.

"Don't ever worry me like that again, understand? I know you can take care of yourself, but don't ever go away like that." Frost asks, hugging her, making Silver stiffen before wrapping her arms around him.

"Okay, I promise, but you have to promise me the same thing."

"I promise."

Unbeknownst to them from the doorway were the rangers watching, with them having noticed that the two weren't with them.

"...I can't stand it." Kira declares, turning around and entering cyberspace.

(A few minutes later)

-It's happening again. Ethan worriedly typed on the computer, watching as the system became unstable, but he didn't notice Beldorf disappearing from the game.

"What exactly is happening again?" Frost asked with his arms crossed, confused.

"I don't even know where to start." Ethan replies, a little embarrassed.

"How about the cheating?" Grumbles Silver, receiving an even more confused look from Frost.

"The truth is always better when it comes from the heart." Beldorf comments behind the rangers, earning surprised expressions from them as they turn to face the wizard.

"...Shit." Frost and Silver sigh at the same time.

(A while later)

"I'll see if I can get access by connecting to our main power system." Hayley comments, connecting the machine to the computer at the rangers' base.

Tommy, who was next to her, turned his chair with his hand rubbing the side of his head. In front of him sat Kira, Ethan and Conner, while a little further away was Beldorf looking at the machines. Frost and Silver were also there, leaning against the wall looking directly at Ethan. Tommy sighs before leaning forward to look at the boy.

"Let me get this straight..." Tommy begins with a sigh, rubbing his eyes. "You were playing a video game and you let a monster surprise you?"

"It's not just a game, it's the Wizard Forest..." Silver mutters, which most people ignore.

"It's a difficult game, Dr. O."  Ethan replied, earning a look from Silver. 

"Difficult? You were cheating!"  Silver exclaims angrily, surprising everyone with his outburst. "You were going to use the machine to get the code!" Before she could say any more, Frost grabbed her, making her stare at him, but he shook his head.

"Regardless, you have to stay alert at all times in our game here too Ethan." Tommy declared disappointedly. "I know it can be difficult and dangerous, so you must..."

At that moment, a purple light appeared in Tommy's mouth before disappearing. The rangers stared at each other in confusion before they all heard a laugh, turning towards the source they saw Frost holding Silver's shoulder as he laughed.

"Beldorf, you're my favorite person right now." Frost declares before bursting into laughter again.

"Beldorf, give him his mouth back." Ethan asks sternly.

"No, just wait a little longer." Conner comments with a playful smile, making Frost laugh even harder.

"Beldorf!" Ethan exclaims, making the wizard sigh.

"Spoilsport."

With a purple glow Tommy's mouth drew back, making the older ranger glare at the wizard. "Don't do that again."

"Okay, calm down, calm down, breathe." Silver was trying to get Frost to control himself in the midst of his laughing fit.

"I'm sorry, Dr. Oliver," Ethan lamented, receiving a sigh from the man.

"I know you are, Ethan." Tommy agreed before Frost stood up.

"I've learned my lesson."

"Wonderful!" Frost suddenly exclaimed, moving behind Ethan's chair and grabbing the boy's shoulders with a firm grip that made Ethan look a little worried and Tommy look suspicious.  "Anything else to add?"

"I've learned my lesson." Ethan declared regretfully. 

"I see, unfortunately there were two lessons." Frost comments, making everyone stare at him.

"What do you mean?" Suddenly Ethan was on the floor rubbing his nose.

"What the hell, man?"

"Never again." Frost growled as the room suddenly became colder and blue fire began to pour out of Frost like an aura. "Don't you ever put Silver in danger again for a mistake you made!"

The boy nods silently as Tommy stood up from his chair.

"That's enough."

"Frost, please." Silver asks, grabbing Frost's wrist and ignoring the intense cold and pain of the fire, which immediately fades after Frost realizes who was touching him.

"Okay, but know this Ethan, do something like that again and I'll be the one to lecture you." Frost threatens before turning and leaving with Silver.

"Hey, don't you want to know where the monster is?"

"...I have my ways, let's go." And with that Silver and Frost left.

(A few moments later)

"Shouldn't we help them?" Silver asks, seeing the rangers fighting the monster.

"No, we're not allies, we're here to make sure that civilians don't get hurt." Frost declares, watching the rangers form the bazooka before sighing. "Monsters always grow up after that, haven't they ever learned?" 

"...How would you go about destroying them then? - Silver asks curiously.

"...I'd use my laser with my dino power to completely disintegrate the creature, so it wouldn't have any leftovers to grow back." Replies the boy before looking at Silver. "But with you we could probably make a weapon too, and mix it with our powers to do the same thing."

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea e.... Ah he's grown." Silver declares, looking at the grown-up monster.

"Great, now let's go...what the hell?" 

The two rangers watch in astonishment as the black ranger leaps at the creature, only to be hit and sent back to the ground.

"...Did he just jump on that thing?" Frost asks, looking at Silver, who nods in silence.

"...You know what, let's just call the Zords." Sighs Silver before bringing the morph to his mouth.

"Carnotaurus."

"Mercuriceratops."

"Annihilate!"

Soon the two rangers jumped into their zords before transforming into Blizzard. Once formed, the giant warrior watched as the monster ran through the streets of the city causing panic among the people and the Thunderssaurus seemed ready to attack.

"Damn...the people." Cries Frost clenching his fists receiving a look from Silver.

"Come on."

Blizzard quickly grabbed the Thundersaurus and lifted it onto his shoulder, before grabbing the monster in the same way.

"Are you kidding?" Kira growled, holding on to the yellow sphere in front of her to keep from falling. "That again?" 

Blizzard was quick to reach the forest and throw them both into the trees, after which the armored giant prepared his sword and shield.

"Let's see how you do with that!" Exclaimed the monster before spinning around and entering the earth, causing the two Zords to step forward and look at their surroundings.

"Where did he go?" Conner asks.

Suddenly the monster comes out of the ground, attacking the two Zords before hiding again.

"That's a lot of fun." Comments the monster as Blizard holds his sword steady while the Thunderssaurus goes into sensor form, spinning around until it stops pointing at a certain place.

With that, the Thunderssaurus shoots out its tyrannical tail and Blizzard sends out a freezing ray. When they hit the monster, they caused an explosion, which left no trace of the creature.

At that moment the Blizzard froze and broke into several pieces.

"...it would be nice to be able to do something like that with our zord." Ethan comments a little jealously, causing Conner and Kira to nod a little later.

"I agree."

(The next day)

In cyberspace Ethan, Conner, Kira, Wendy, Jason and Beldorf were gathered at the same computer that had been hit by the monster, with the blue ranger finishing fixing the machine he had used earlier.

"I imagine he's still looking for the secret code to the city of Galdor." Beldorf comments, narrowing his eyes at Ethan.

"Yes, I still do, but I think I'll get it the old-fashioned way." Ethan assures him, receiving a silent nod from Wendy. "One key at a time."

This answer makes Beldorf smile and nod to himself.

"A good answer, it's the right one." Beldorf declares, before turning to face Jason and Wendy. "Now I guess that's goodbye for now lady Silver and to you too sir Frost, I hope our paths cross soon."

"I say the same, Beldorf, wizard of Galdor, until our paths cross again." Wendy says goodbye before hugging the wizard and walking away, earning a laugh from the man while Jason gives a brief nod to the wizard.

"Until next time."

"Alright Beldorf, time to go home." Declares Hayley before turning on the machine that causes Beldorf to be absorbed into the computer.

"Great, now that that's out of the way, I'll have a milkshake, nice and cold." Jason declares, heading for the door, but he stops short and turns to look at Wendy. "Do you want to come with me?"

The girl immediately perks up and heads towards him.

"Of course, let's go!" Wendy says, giving Kira a mischievous look. "Take that love Rival!"

With that, the two of them left while Kira shivered and looked at Ethan and Hayley.

"That girl gives me the creeps."
