“Hey Vinyl!” She perks up and looks over at her. “..What.” Funk motions over to the mountains. They were sitting on tree branches.
How else could they get a good view? Though, she wanted to show her something else. There would always be some type of ulterior motives with her. The rational one looked at the other blankly. Nothing was even there yet.
“Just wait for it; it won't take too long for it to appear!” “Wait, did you just say it?” The ground started to rumble and shake. It was like a miniature earthquake. They both held tighter onto the tree.
Suddenly, the outline of a deer became more visible. It fully raised its head up to open its eyes. They were pure white, and there were three of them. “Told you it wouldn't take too long!” Funk was concerningly laid back about this.
The deer was even taller than the tree. In fact, it was as big as the mountains. “What.. what is that?” Vinyl's confusion made Funk laugh. As if this was the most normal thing to be asking about.
“It's a deer, I call her Shika.” “..How can you tell she's a girl?” She shrugs and responds with, “Sometimes you just know things.” The deer, Shika, had spotted them. It walked over to them without hesitation.
It's head lowered, directly staring at Funk. “Sorry I haven't been around quite often.” She reached out and put her hand on its head. The deer closed its eyes. “How often have you seen her?”
She pauses before speaking, “Every few weeks we've been meeting up.” That's where she's been going for the past months! She takes her hand off Shika and she opens her eyes again. She turns to Vinyl and tilts her head. “..Hello… Shika.”
The deer stares, before sniffing her. Vinyl freezes out of fear. “Stop being such a wuss, even cats do it!” “It's a huge deer!” She pulls back and just.. stares.
“She wants you to do what I did.” She hesitantly nods before putting one of her hands on her head. Shika closes her eyes once again. This made things a lot less terrifying. It was actually kind of nice.
The deer opened her eyes again and Vinyl quickly pulled away. “I'm never going to get used to this.” Funk felt the same way when she figured out how to give herself a voice. She mainly used clips from videos or music, but she got used to it. “I get it, but.. you've gotta eventually!”
Shika nodded before turning away and walking off. It was a small introduction, but it was a start. “So, what do you think?” Vinyl just stared in awe. Suddenly, a snap of her fingers shook her away from her thoughts.
“When's the next time you're coming back?”
