Notes:

Hello!! I’m very exited to write this fic for you all, I already have it all planned out in my head kkkk. This is my second fic and hopefully this time I’ll actually finish this one. I hope you enjoy!

‼️I did some editing to change some things‼️

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Roier knew he wasn’t allowed to go up there, up to the surface. But he couldn’t help himself. There were loud noises and shades of colors he was almost certain he had never seen before. Little did Roier know, disobeying his fathers’s one rule would change his life forever.

Roier happily swam around, dashing past coral reefs and sea life as he raced to the finish line him and Jaiden had agreed on. Suddenly a Flash of Purple and Blue darted past him, making it to the finish line seconds before Roier arrived there.

”No mames, Jaiden! You could have let me win this time!” He pouted, crossing his arms over his chest.

Jaiden laughed, smirking at him. “It’s not my fault your slower than a Jellyfish!”

”Whatever, Jai. We both know that if I didn’t get distracted by that seahorse I would have won,” Roier stated, lifting his chin and rolling his eyes.

Jaiden scoffed playfully. “Wow. Are you saying I’m weaker than you?”

”Maybe,” He smirked.

”Oh yeah? Let’s see about that!” She said, a determined look in her eyes as she lunged at Roier, the two tumbling around in the water, wrestling.

”I’ve got you!” Roier exclaimed, pulling Jaiden into a head lock.

”Oh, nooo, I’ve been captured! What shall I do!” Jaiden joked, before flipping herself and Roier around, so she was the one putting him in the headlock.

”agh! Ok,ok! I give up!” Roier laughed, attempting to wiggle out of Jaidens grasp.

Just as the two were about to set off again, something interrupted them.

”Roier!” A loud, booming voice roared and Roier instantly recognized it. He panicked, looking at Jaiden. What do we do? He silently asked her, to which she got the message and just shrugged.

The king swam over to the duo, both heavily disappointed. If there was one thing Roier was good at, it was reading people’s faces.

”Why are you out here, so far away from the city?” Vegetta asked, raising an eyebrow.

“It’s okay, papá, me and Jaiden were just racing-”

”I know that.” Vegetta interrupted. “But why did you have to race so far away from home? That is one of the only ruled you have to follow. Stay close to home.”

Roier opened his mouth to respond, but nothing came out. Instead, he shut his mouth and hanged his head low.

“Lo siento, it won’t happen again your majesty.” Jaiden replied for Roier, bowing her head out of respect.

“I hope it doesn’t.” Vegetta said, satisfied. “Ahora ven. Tenemos que llegar a casa, está oscureciendo.”

The three started swimming home silently, nobody bothering to speak as Roier was stuck in his thoughts.

There was one rule Roier knew he could never break again; and that was stay out past dark. He had learned his lesson last time he did that. Last time, when he had been swarmed, whispers filling his ears, overwhelming him, taking pieces of his mind, soul, and body- No. He couldn’t think about that right now. He needed to get home.

One thing about Quesadilla City at night was it was beautiful. Bright colored blue and yellow lights scattered across the City, alumanating the place up. The biggest building there was Quesadilla Palace; aka Roiers home. The two merguards at the entrance pulled the main doors open, revealing a well-kept purple, cyan and gold interior. Roier ignored the sight he saw every day, and immediately darted down the hall and up some stairs to get to his bedroom. He pulled the doors open, slamming them shut and flopping on his bed. Today had been a long day. Roier sighed, properly laying down on his bed and pulling the red-dyed kelp blanket over him. He closed his eyes, breathing in rhythm before he slowly felt himself drift off into sleep.

“To us!” Felps laughed, raising his glass of wine, everybody yelling with agreement as they cheered. They were all on their way back home after a huge victory against a kingdom who had killed some of their crew mates. Cellbit smiled, leaning his elbows on the deck railing as he took a sip of his wine. The kids that had came with the crew on their journey were safe asleep in the bottom deck quarters.

”Whatcha thinking about, Irmão? Boys?” A familiar voice called, wrapping her arms around his shoulders in a makeshift hug.

”Bagi! Hi. And no. There’s nothing to think about.” Cellbit smiled slightly, tracing the tip of his finger on the rim of his glass.

”I know, I’m just messing with you.” She laughed, smacking him on the shoulder.

The two stood there in comforting silence for a bit, before somebody yelled.

”Who wants to set off some fireworks?!” Everybody cheered, pulling out barrells filled with fireworks while others scrambled around to find a lighter.

”Want to join in?” Bagi asked.

”You know me too well.” He laughed, pouring the rest of his wine into the ocean and setting his glass down on the deck, walking over to where the crew was setting up some fireworks. Phil, the captain, noticed him walking over.

”Hey mate. You want to set off the first bunch?” Phil asked.

Cellbits eyes widened, forgetting how to speak for a second. “Um! Sure? But shouldn’t you do that? You are the captain.”

Phil laughed, patting him on the back. “Nah. You have the rights to do it, you lead us to victory this morning. You deserve it, mate.”

“Ok then! I’ll do it.” Cellbit smiled, beaming from the praise. Phil laughed again, watching Cellbit walk off to fetch a lighter from Baghera.

Phil stepped foreward, raising his glass of wine as a sign for everybody to silence.

”A toast,” He began. ”To Cellbit, for leading us to victory!” Phil yelled, everybody cheering, raising their own glasses as Cellbit set off the fireworks.

Roier woke up with a jolt. What were those loud noises? He has never heard anything like it before. Was the palace under attack? No. He quickly ruled that one out. His parents didn’t have any enemies. Roier got out of his bed, swimming over to the window right across from it. He looked up, seeing different shades of colors he was almost sure he had never seen before. He knew he shouldn’t go out, he was forbidden to. It was night. But maybe just this one time, Roier could sneak out.

He grabbed his leather satchel, swinging it over his shoulder and quietly opening his bedroom doors, shutting them as he swam out of the hallway, down to the main hall and out one of the windows. (It was the easiest way out). He immediately swam up, to the surface. He took a big breath of the air as his head poked out of the ocean, and was instantly hit with bright, blinding colors. He pulled his arm above his face to protect himself from the light, slightly taking glances at the explosions of color in the sky before finally looking around. He spotted a giant, wooden.. something. Maybe a ship? He had been told about ships before, but never seen one. He’d been told that humans controlled them like they were slaves, forcing the ship to go wherever they wanted to. And sometimes, Mother Nature would get mad about this, starting a storm of her fury and drowning the humans with the ship. But, all that didn’t matter right now. He was too curious to listen to the rules his fathers had set.— His fathers. What would they think if they found out he was here..? Never mind that. Roier dipped back under the water, swimming closer to the boat. As he got to one of the sides, he placed his hands on the bottom of the rails and pulled himself up, resting his elbows on the deck. What was this place? The creatures on the ship looked like him, but without tails. They had.. legs? Roier looked over to this one man in particular. He was the one setting off the fireworks. Roier was about to give that guy a piece of his mind. Those colors were annoying! But he was stopped, when two hands grabbed his shoulders and pulled him under the water.

”What are you doing up here?!” Jaiden hissed, looking at him sternly.

”What do you think I’m doing? These guys are being annoying with their blasts of colors in the sky! I’m going to tell them to off!” He responded, crossing his arms over his chest.

”Roier, you can’t—” She cut herself off, sighing. “You can’t go near humans!”

So that’s what they are. Humans.

”..How did you find me?”

”You aren’t very sneaky, you know. It was easy to spot you going out of that window.”

Another boom interrupted the two.

Roier scowled. “Okay, that’s it!” He swam up, pulling his arms back up onto the deck so he was right across from where they were shooting the colors. He grabbed a seashell out of his satchel, throwing it at the crowd of humans. And with all his luck, he managed to hit the one setting them off in the head.

Notes:

Honestly this was suppost to go in a direction of Cellbit being the only human that knows about Roier and the two secretly meeting up at night because Roier would come visit the ship so he could see Cellbit.. KKKKK it’s taking a different turn!! (This might change a lot of the plot I have in my head 😭)

.. no proof reading again bc I wanted to get this out as soon as possible

Chapter 2: O que é isso?

Summary:

Roier gets caught. Vegetta has flashbacks.

Notes:

This chapter might be poorly written because I just read chapter 16 of ACAS.. MARIANAA NÃOOOO 😭😭

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Cellbit winced as something hit his head. What the fuck was that?
He turned around, looking over the deck only to see a splash of water. He ran to the railing, looking over and he swore he caught a glimpse of red, white and blue. Are dolphins that color? He had never seen one.

”Cellbit! O que há de errado?” His sister asked, walking over to him worriedly.

”Nada. Pensei ter visto um golfinho.” He responded, staring into the water like it was his biggest rival.

Bagi raised an eyebrow. “A dolphin? What color?”

”It was red, and blue. And some white.”

Bagi laughed, slapping Cellbit on the shoulder. It was then that Cellbit realized how stupid he sounded. He glanced off to the side, blushing from embarrassment.

”Cellbo,Eu não sei o que você viu, mas definitivamente não era um golfinho. Agora vamos lá, a equipe terminou de limpar. Todos nós podemos ir dormir agora.”

The crew had already finished cleaning up. Had he been staring at the water that long? Whatever. That didn’t matter right now. He yawned, stretching his arms out. “Yeah, I’m tired.”

”well, if it helps, Phil said we all get to sleep in tonight. Our reward for being victorious, I guess.”

”Yeah. That sounds nice..”

Right after Roier had thrown the seashell, hoping to give a piece of his mind to that man, he was pulled back under the water.

”Roier, you idiot! What are you doing?! You can’t do that!” Jaiden gritted from in between her teeth, pulling his ear.

”ow,ow,ow,ow,ow!” He yelped, smacking Jaidens hand away. “What did I do?! I was just gonna ask them to stop being so loud with.. whatever those colors were!”

“I don’t care! We’re both going to get in trouble now!” She scolded.

“Not if they don’t find out..”

”Roier.”

”What? All I’m saying is they don’t need to know—”

”it’s a little to late for that, Ro.”

Roier squinted, not sure what she meant. He looked down, understanding. Both of his fathers were swimming up to him and Jaiden.

“Oh.Oh shit. Jaiden, can we run for it?”

“Do you want to be in even more trouble?”

“…”

”exactly.”

Roier could see the expressions on his dads’s faces; Vegetta was angry. He was scowling in a way that made you feel like one stare straight in the eyes from him would kill you. His other father, Foolish, looked worried. Like he was sad his son was about to die from the wrath of his angry lover.

ROIER.”

Roier winced. Vegetta was definitely mad.

”umm. Hola, papá! Me and Jaiden were just about to go back home-“

”cut the bullshit. I know why your here.” Vegetta growled, while Foolish just mouthed a “sorry, I tried to stop him.”

”Oh.” Roier gulped.

”How many times have I had to tell you?! You. Can’t. Go. Up. To. The. Surface! It is forebidden for a reason, and this is exactly why! I can’t have you.. mingling with humans! They are evil, and will try to kill you!” Now Vegetta sounded more worried than mad.

”But-“ Roier whined.

”No. Sin peros. Me preocupo por ti, hijo mío. Algún día te vas a quedar atrapado en algo de lo que no puedes salir.” Vegetta sighed, holding Roiers face in his hands. “You need to be safer. And that’s why your prohibited from leaving the palace, from now until I decide so.”

Roier pulled back from Vegetta, offended. “What? You can’t ground me!”

Vegetta raised an eyebrow. “¿Por qué no? Eres mi hijo. Puedo castigarte como quiera.”

”Papá Foolish, can you please help me out? He doesn’t listen!” Roier yelled, pointing at Vegetta. Foolish backed away, putting his hands up in front of him as defense.

”I have no say in this, kid. I’m sorry, I can’t do anything—”

”Roier. Tell me, why can’t I ground you? What makes you think I’m not allowed to?” Vegetta said, interrupting Foolish.

”Because I’m not a kid anymore, papá! I know how to take care of myself. I’m an adult now, not some weak little boy who always needs to be protected! When will you understand that?!”

Vegetta laughed, throwing his arms up into the air. “An adult? You say you are one but you act like a child, Roier. As long as you live under my roof, you listen to me.”

”Fine then. I’ll leave.”

”Fine!” Vegetta yelled, crossing his arms over his chest.

”Fine!” Roier yelled back, doing the same before swimming off.

Vegetta was sad. He had been sad a lot recently. Foolish tried to comfort him, he knew he tried his best. But it just wasn’t enough. There was a hole in his heart that couldn’t be filled. Not until they found his son.

He regretted everything about that night. Why had he let Roier go? He should have begged him to stay, not fight with him. But it was okay. Vegetta deserved this. He wasn’t even Vegetta’s real son. He thought back to that night, where he had found Roier. He used to be like him.. Vegetta used to be carefree, not giving a about anything. He had ran off from his family too, so he could be with Foolish.

One day, he was out and about, enjoying the sea life around him when he heard a baby crying. He had scrambled around for a bit, before finally finding a brunette baby, crying his eyes out. Before Vegetta could do anything, a woman who looked similar to the child swam over, picking him up. Vegetta sighed out of relief. At least the baby was safe. Right as he turned around to leave, he suddenly stopped as he saw another person. He recognized this one. He was on the kingdoms top wanted list. Vegetta hid behind the coral reef, spying on the trio.

”Would you get him to shut up already?” The man hissed, staring at the baby with hate.
veggeta didn’t like that.

”He’s a baby, Doied. He’s going to cry some times.” The woman responded. She also looked similar to the baby; she has long, brown wavy hair tied back with a blue bandana. Maybe these two were the babies parents?

”I know, Melissa. But if he doesn’t quiet down, abueloier will wake up and you know how cranky he gets.”

The woman, Melissa, sighed. “I know. But he is our brother, Doied. We can’t do anything. Just let him cry. He’ll get sleepy eventually.”

huh. Scratch that, they were all siblings? And who is Abueloier? His thoughts were interrupted by the babies crying slowing down, and the two siblings chattering again.

”See? He’s calmed down. Didn’t you, little Roier?” Melissa cooed, causing the baby to laugh and try to grab at her fingers.

Doied rolled his eyes. “Whatever, I guess.”

Suddenly, the three, and Vegetta were all startled by a loud grumble, followed by yelling. “¡¿Qué es todo ese ruido?!” Somebody yelled.

Doied and Melissa looked at each other, before quickly rushing around. Melissa swam into a cave, coming out without the baby. Doied swam straight to where the voice was. “¡Abuelo! Lo siento, estábamos tratando de que el bebé se durmiera.” The woman yelled, following her brother.

Not long after, the two came out with an old man, probably abueloier. “Where is that baby? I need more energy. Now.” Abueloier stated.

”Abuelo, you can’t right now - Roier is sleeping, it’s not time to take from him yet—“

well this was taking a dark turn. What were they talking about?
”I don’t care. I’m tired, and I’m old. I can’t stand being like this anymore. I need to feel.. stronger.” The old man yelled.

Melissa, startled, responded quickly. “Ok! Ok. I-I’ll go get him. Doied, you take him to rest. I’ll.. I’ll bring Roier. But Abueloier. Are you sure you want to do this? He’s only a year old. If you waited, you would get more energy from him-“

”NO. Bring me that baby, and bring me him now!”

”Okay! I’ll fetch him. Doied, take abuelo to bed.” She responded, to which Doied nodded and helped the old man go back to where he was sleeping.

this was odd. Why did that old man need the baby so much? Vegetta watched as Melissa looked around, panicking as she quickly dashed into the cave, coming out with the baby. He was sleeping now. She swam around, as if looking for somewhere to hide him.

”Melissa! Hurry up!” Doied yelled from somewhere.

”Coming!”
Vegetta needed to leave. He needed to leave before he got caught. He turned around, and the second he rounded the corner he saw Melissa, holding the baby.

”You. Your the prince’s boyfriend. I know you’ve been here the whole time. Please, take him. Its not safe here.” She panicked, handing the baby to Vegetta.

”w-what?! I can’t take care of a baby!” He stuttered.

”please, sir. He needs to be safe. Run away. As far as you can. Hurry!”

Vegetta nodded, gulping as he swam away, holding the baby. He looked down, noticing the little boy yawn, stretching his tiny arms and giggling as he saw Vegetta above him. Poor little guy. He didn’t know what was going on.

Vegetta missed his son. He missed when he was just a little kid. He missed when he was still here. He wished, with all his heart, that Roier would come back. And when he did, if he did, he’d have a little sister to come home to.

Chapter Text

Roier hated being a prince. He wished he could be normal.

He was sick and tired of following rules only he was required to follow. He could make his own rules, and take care of himself. He didn’t need his dad to babysit him.

He was also sick and tired of Vegetta trying to ‘protect’ him. Roier was strong, he could protect himself! He puffed out his chest, as if to prove to himself he wasn’t lying.

ow.

Roier winced as he suddenly ran into a piece of coral, banging his forehead on it. He reached up, rubbing his head. Roier scowled, looking at the coral before punching it. “Owwww!” He whined, grasping his hand and pressing his lips to his now scraped knuckles.

Roier looked up. He had been following that ship for a while now. Maybe two days? He doesn’t know anymore. He had no idea where they were going, but he knew they were going somewhere.
He decided to swim up to the surface, taking a big breath of air. Roier looked around, seeing the ship. He swam over, wrapping his hands around the deck railing and pulling himself up, scanning the deck. There were a lot of people. And.. kids? Huh. One kid, a scrawny looking little boy with hair like Roiers and a bandana around his forehead, walked over to a man Roier recognized. It was the man from before, the one setting off those annoying.. fireworks. He had learned that’s what they were called by a book he found in a shipwreck. He was surprised it was still together.

“Mr. Cellbit! Can you take me and Richas up? To the circle thingy? We want to fly with the birds.”

The man, Cellbit, laughed. “Sure, I’m okay with that. Go get him, I’m going to finished up fishing real quick.”

Fishing? That was something Roier knew about. From the book he found. To humans, it was a way to get food. To him, it was animal cruelty. The fish were his friends! How could these humans just take them and eat them like a snack?! He bets that Cellbit wouldn’t like it if he ate that little boy.

Roier saw him walk over to the deck, pulling a fishing rod off from the side and launching it into the water. Roier scowled. He wasn’t about to let this man eat his friends! He dove back under the water, finding where the hook was. There was a worm on it; poor little guy. He didn’t deserve to be eaten either.. Roier shook his head. No, he couldn’t feel bad right now. He needed to save his fishy friends. He grabbed the hook, yanking on it.

Cellbit scowled. What kind of fish was this? And why was it so strong? He yanked again, pulling at the string.

Roier huffed. Why was this man so stubborn?! He was just trying to save his fishy friends! Roier tugged once more, and this time he was met with no force at all. The whole fishing pole landed in the water. Well, mission success!!

Roier looked up, above the surface and into the sky. Huh. There was a black giant cloud on its way. He wondered what it was?

Cellbit’s jaw dropped, shocked. What kind of FISH had the ability to yank a fishing pole out of his hands?! He was a pretty strong guy. He shook his head, coming back to reality. Whatever, he could always get a new one.

”Richas! Bobby! Where did you guys go?” Cellbit called, looking for the two. Behind him his sister snickered.

”Brother, they told me to tell you to go find them. Eles querem brincar de esconde-esconde.”

Cellbit groaned. First, he lost his fishing rod to a stupid fish. Now he has to play hide and seek? Whatever. As long as it made those kids happy.. “ok, ok, I’m going.”

Cellbit innocently walked below deck, whistling with his hands behind his back, looking up. He smirked when he heard some giggling. He pretended like he didn’t know where it was coming from. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a poof of fluffy brown hair.

Aha.

“hmm. I wonder where my filho and his friend went? Richass, Bobbbyyy, where are you?” He called out.

More snickering.

He walked over to a pair of barrells, whistling innocently once again before flipping them over. He heard two screams, followed by giggles and scattering. Cellbit lunged, grabbing one of them by the legs and picking them up. “Rahhh! I’ve got you, Richas!”

”ahh! Pai, noo! Put me down!” Richas giggled, kicking his feet and trying to get out of Cellbit’s tight grip.

”Nope. Your not escaping this time!”

Suddenly, the trio were interrupted.

”Cellbit. Quit messing around right now, mate. We need everybody on deck. Get baghera to put the kids in their quarters. We have a situation.” The captain, Phil, commanded, stomping into below deck.

Cellbit, surprised, studdered in response. “Um! Yes, sir. Richas. Take Bobby and anybody else down here and go to the Quarters.”

”What’s happening? Will we be okay?” Richas asked worriedly.

Cellbit sighed. “I don’t know what’s happening, Filho. But you’ll be safe, promise.”

”pinky promise?” He asked, reaching his pinky out towards cellbit’s hand.

”Pinky promise.” He responded, their pinkys linking together for a second before Cellbit let go. He quickly walked back on deck, and the second he did he heard a loud rumble. What the ?

He spotted Baghera. “Baghs! Phil told me to tell you to take all the kids and put them in their quarters.” Cellbit yelled over the howling wind.

”ai,ai, Cellbo!” Baghera yelled back, running below deck.

”Phil, what’s happening?!” He asked.

”A Storm. A big one.”

Notes:

This Guapoduo build up is gonna take a couple chapters.. >:)

Chapter Text

Oh.

Oh.

Cellbit understood what was going on.

How could he not?

They were all going to die.

He had Never seen a storm this bad before, in all 20 of his years on this ship. He’d been with this crew since he was 5. Him and Bagi. Bagi Liked to brag about how she was older than him. But there’s nothing worth bragging about! She was older than him by a few minutes.

Rain poured, again, and again.

Phil was yelling orders at everybody, telling them to this and that, but it was hard to hear him over the rain pounding against the ship and the thunder striking in the clouds.

Cellbit was soaked. Right now he was currently tasked with getting all of the supplies below deck.

”Cellbit! Move!”

”Watch out!” Somebody yelled, before Cellbit was suddenly tumbling. He was tumbling off the side of the ship as it tilted. The back of his head hit the railing, knocking him out cold.

Everything went black.

Once, When Cellbit was a child, the same thing happened.

Funny how things can happen to you more than once.

”Bagi! Venha ver isso!” A 5 year old Cellbit yelled excitedly, standing on his tippy toes as he leaned over the side of the ship, pointing at something in the water.

A little girl who looked very similar to him but with white hair and a brown streak ran over. “What! Cellbo, what is it!”

“Olhar!” He said, jabbing his finger at a moving creature in the water.

Said ‘creature’ smiled, waving at the two.

”Bagi, what is it?!” He gasped, hugging onto Bagi’s arm.

The creature answered for him. “Hi! I’m a mermaid.”

”But Mermaids aren’t real?” Bagi huffed, looking at it warily.

”Well, I’m real, aren’t I?” It responded.

”Prove it. Prove your a mermaid then.” Cellbit huffed.

”Ok. If I wasn’t a mermaid, would I have this?” It asked, before floating in the water on its back and flipping its tail up into the air.

Bagi gasped, while Cellbit just stared, his jaw dropped.

”Omg! Omg, brother, mermaids are real!” She squealed, jumping up and down exitedly. Cellbit was speechless, and only replied with a nod.

”What’s your name?” Bagi asked.

”My name is Foolish.”

”Wow! Can I play with you? I have some toys!” Bagi asked, leaning over the edge of the ship.

Foolish chuckled. “No, sorry kid. You guys aren’t supposed to know I exist.”

Cellbit titled his head to the side, finally speaking up. “Why not?”

”You just aren’t.”

”But why not?”

”Because.”

”Because why?”

”Just because!”

”Why!”

”Because you can’t.”

”But why?”

”Argh! If I play with your sister, will you stop asking so many questions?!”

”Maybe.”

”Oh, You‘ll play with me? I’ll get my toys!” Bagi squealed yet again, running off somewhere. Minutes later she returned with some Barbie dolls and bows.

”Ok. I have them! But how am I supposed to get them in when your all the way down there?”

”Where are the rest of the people on this ship?”

”They are below deck. Some meeting, I think.” Cellbit replied.

”Ok then, here.” Foolish responded, before swimming over and pulling himself up onto the ship.

Bagi gathered her supplies, putting them all together in a pile.

Foolish frowned. “I hope you don’t plan on putting those bows in my hair.”

Said bows were in his hair with tiny pigtails minutes later.

”Cellbit, Olha! Ele não é bonito?” Bagi cooed.

Cellbit scrunched up his face. “What did you do to him?”

”I made him pretty.” Bagi frowned.

”That’s your idea of pretty?” He teased, flicking Bagi’s nose.

”For your information, I am very pretty.” Foolish responded, crossing his arms across his chest.

”Yeah, Cellbit. He is very pretty.” She scowled, pulling his hair a bit.

”Ow, hey!” He yelped, smacking her hand away.

”Don’t smack me!” Bagi yelled, kicking his leg.

Cellbit pulled her hair, causing her to scream. So she smacked him in the face.

”Oww! Don’t do that!” Cellbit yelped, then pulling Bagi’s ear.

”Don’t pull my hair!” She responded, before pulling his hair again.

“Ow,ow,ow,ow!” He whined.

”Serves you right!”

Before Foolish could do anything to stop them, Footsteps pounded out of below the deck.

”What is going on here?!” Are you two fighting again?”

”Cellbit started it!”

”Nuh uh, she pulled my hair!”

”Only because you called the mermaid guy ugly!”

”What mermaid?” A crew member asked.

”him! He was right… there..” she said, pointing beside her. But Foolish was gone.

”um, this doll!” Cellbit exlaimed, picking up a doll Bagi had left on the ground. ”it’s really ugly.”

”No its not!”

”is too.”

”nuh uh!”

”yes huh!”

”Nuh uh!”

”Yes huh!”

”Enough! You two are always fighting! Extra chores for 3 weeks!” Somebody, probably the captain, yelled.

“Aw, what?!”

”Keep talking and it’ll be two months.” That was enough to shut them up.

Cellbit was pouting, over the edge of the ship. He blinked once. Huh. Did something in his vision change? He blinked again. The world was getting darker, every time he blinked, before it was pitch black and he didn’t know where he was. The little bit of vision he had left started to spin, making him nauseous.

then he heard silence.

Roier was not expecting a storm.

Of course it didn’t really effect him, he was under water.

But it affected those humans, and he wasn’t sure they could all swim.

And if they didn’t live, who was going to guide him away from his old home?

His old home.

No.

He wanted to go back home.

He missed his dads. And Jaiden, and all his friends. He missed everybody.

Maybe doing this was a mistake.

It was kind of stupid how he left. Sometimes he wished he could go back.

Roiers thoughts were interrupted by a loud splash. What was that?

He frantically spun around, scanning his surroundings for what that could be. Just as he thought the coast was clear, out of the corner of his eye he spotted something sinking.

no, not something.. someone. Somebody from the ship had fallen into the water. Roier didn’t know what to do.. So without thinking, he swiftly swam over, grabbing the humans arm and dragging it up to the surface. He tried to get the man above air, struggling to do so because this man was probably as twice his size. He scanned the water; not to far away from them was a tiny island.. He could probably make it, right?

Roier started to swim that way, still struggling to keep this man above water. Eventually, after a long attempt, he made it to the little piece of land. Roier immediately threw the human onto the sand, panting from the struggle. Roier had to be careful, though. He could only be above water for so long and definitely could not risk getting stuck in the sand. He kind of waited, between the shallow part of the water and where the sand turned dry.

The whole night had passed.. this guy had been out for a while. It was sunrise now.

Once Roier woke up, He could tell this guy looked familiar.. But he couldn’t seem to think of a name. Roier took his time observing the man; He was definitely muscular, that was for sure. Because of the water, the man’s white collared shirt was damp enough that Roier could see what he tried to hide underneath there. And , was this guy jacked. Had he already mentioned that? He also had lots of scars on his arms. One or two buttons of the shirt had come undone, so the guys pecs were out for the world to see. Roier’s eyes moved down, below his waist. He had baggy brown pants and black army boots.

He moved his eyes back up, to the man’s face. His damp hair looked like it was a bit long and curly, also brown. Definitely Brunette. The man’s eyes were closed so he couldn’t see what color they were, but he did have a little stubble beard and a long stripe of a scar across his nose.
Before Roier could finish observing the man, he shifted.

Shit. Shit, shit, shit!

Before Roier could get out of there, the dude grabbed him by the hair and yanked him up out of the water.

”ow,ow,ow,ow!” He yelped, smacking the guys hands away from his head.

”Who are you?” The man hissed, standing up quicker than Roier could even blink.

”I-”

”I said, Who are you?” The man hissed again, before pulling a dagger out of his pocket.

.

”¡Qué carajo, pendejo! ¡No me apuntes con esa mierda!” Roier scowled, backing away.

The man raised an eyebrow, before slightly lowering the dagger. “Why should I? I don’t know you.”

”Yea, and I don’t know you, but I’m not pulling sharp out of my pockets! And I don’t even have pockets!”

The man sighed, dropping the weapon and rubbing his temple. “Answer the question. Who are you?”

”Mi llamo Roier.” He huffed, crossing his arms across his chest and pouting, looking away from the name. “Who are you?”

”That’s not important.”

”¡Pendejo, me acabas de amenazar con una daga por mi nombre! ¿Por qué no puedes decirme el tuyo?”

”¡Vale, vale! Mi nombre es Cellbit.”

”That’s a stupid name.”

”It’s not any stupider than yours, Roier.”

They both stayed there in silence, before Cellbit spoke up again.

”..ok.. your name is Roier..but What are you?” He sighed, eying Roiers tail.

”Thats not important.”

“To hell it isn’t.”

”it isn’t! Why do you need to know?”

”Im a human. So what are you?”

”..I-… I can’t tell you.”

”Why not?”

”Im not allowed to.”

”Why?”

"¡Deja de hacer tantas malditas preguntas, pendejo!"

Cellbit rolled his eyes, before sitting down on the sand and also crossing his arms across his chest. “Well, you are obviously not a human. And you have a tail.” He thought for a moment, before he finally came to terms with the thought of a Mermaid. It sounded ridiculous, he knows, but he also knows they are real. Him and Bagi had met one before, a long time ago, when they were kids. “Are you a mermaid?”

“¡Que! N-noo, those aren’t real? What even is a mermaid?”
“Don’t lie. I know you are, I see your fucking tail, man.”

Roier whipped his head around, looking at his tail.

”one last question. Why have you been spying on me?”

Chapter Text

2 Weeks.

Cellbit had been stranded on an Island, going insane for 2 weeks.

Slowly going insane for 2 weeks.

2 weeks.

haha.

Man, he stinked really bad.

If it weren’t for the stupid waves that had somehow decided to drag him off to a completely different island than the rest of his crewmates, he could have been home by now.

Stupid waves. Stupid water. Stupid ocean.

Cellbit thinks hes going crazy.

How could they forget about him? How could they leave without him? Did they not hear him? Pac has said that he’s really loud. Why can’t he be loud the one time he wants to?

Cellbit wanted to scream and cry.

But he can’t.

His lungs are too sore.

Oh well!

He couldn’t do anything about it now.

He was currently leaned against the back of a palm tree, sharpening his dagger on a rock. He had nothing better to do.

Which, coincidentally, made Roier choose right now to appear.

Roier, the same boy- no. Mermaid who had saved him from drowning, had been following him around. Or, more just watching. He couldn’t really walk. Lately Roier had taken a liking to trying to scare Cellbit. He wasn’t very good at it.

“You aren’t very sneaky, you know.” Cellbit mentioned casually, sharpening his dagger in the rock one last time.

Roier stuttered, his face making various different expressions before tinting a light hue of red. “Yes I am. I am very sneaky.”

”Then why do I find you every time?”

“…Because. You are just good at finding things. I wanted you to find me anyway.”

”Oh, did you now?” Cellbit said, tilting his head to the side.

”Yep. I was going easy on you cause I knew you couldn’t find me otherwise, yknow?”

“Mhm. I definitely believe you.”

“Is that.. whatdoyoucallit.. Sarcasm?”

Cellbit laughed slightly in response, throwing the rock he was holding into the water. “Yes, Roier. That was sarcasm.”

”Oh. Well! I knew that already, I was just making sure.”

“Yep.”

“Hey, Cellbit?” Roier asked curiously, drawing patterns with his finger in the sand.

”Yes?” Cellbit responded, raising an eyebrow.”

”What’s your opinion on clams?”

Cellbit thought for a moment. Clams were okay. Maybe a little sour, but overall, okay. “Their fine. Why do you ask?”

Roier smiled, and instead of responding, dipped under the water and disappeared. A minute or two later, he came back up with two handfuls of unopened clams. Cellbit was still getting used to the fact Roier was a mermaid. He still couldn’t believe they were real, and still couldn’t believe he had met one. He also still couldn’t believe Roier was one.

”Wow. Thanks?” Cellbit said, baffled.

”No problem! I figured you were hungry.” Roier beamed, holding his face up with his palms as he planted his elbows in the sand.

Cellbit slowly picked one open, grabbing a sharp stick nearby as he attempted to pry it open. It took him a few times, but he was overall successful.

maybe he could just live here. On the island. With Roier. That would be nice…

Notes:

I’m sorry you guys but I can’t bring myself to continue writing this fic (that’s why it ended so poorly) I literally said this chapter would be released in FEBUARY and it’s September?? I ran out of ideas for this fic as the old ones were REALLY bad. So, I’m gonna start a new one or continue one of my unfinished fics. Again I’m real sorry I’m not finishing this one, I know some of you really enjoyed it but it’s just not fun for me to write anymore :(

Plus, I would rarely have time to even write this fic cause I just started my last year of school and they are REALLY pressuring us to think about our futures so I’ve been visiting alot of colleges lately and trying to get into one. I’m thinking of going to law or art school afterwards, idk :/ again thanks so much for supporting me and for supporting my fic <3 Have a great day all of you, love you all bunches!! :P
