Chapter Text
It was the middle of the night and Izuku had gone out for a jog. He was unable to go back to sleep after that dream, even with Mayday trying to talk him through it. He did his best to explain, until the two got interrupted.
Ten minutes prior
"You think that dream is a sign or an omen?" Mayday asked.
"I don't know but...hold on, someone's coming," Izuku said.
The door opened a crack and a familiar voice was heard, "Midoriya, what was that sound? Are you okay?"
"Oh, it's Yuga," Mayday said.
"Uh, everything is okay in here!" Izuku nervously insisted. "I'm fine, I promise!"
"But I heard such a loud noise," Yuga said.
"He said he's fine, Yuga!" Mayday said.
"Mayday Parker!?" Yuga completely opened the door, spotting the two sitting in bed together. "My word! Is something scandalous going on here!?"
"No! It's nothing like that!" Izuku nervously insisted.
"Yeah seriously, you really think I'd do something like that with my parents nearby?" Mayday asked.
"Well regardless, you have caused quite the ruckus, Midoriya," Yuga scolded. "Perhaps you haven't eaten enough cheese."
A nervous drop of sweat ran down Mayday's head, "Dude, I know you're French, but you gotta lay off the cheese stuff. Even New Yorkers like me eat more than pizza and hot dogs."
"Look, I'm really sorry for waking you," Izuku said.
"Well, so long as you are okay," Yuga said. "Miss Parker, please tend to my good friend. And keep it at a family friendly level."
"Yeah, yeah, now go back to sleep," Mayday said.
After Yuga left, Izuku got on his feet, "I need to go for a run."
"Need me to come with you?" Mayday asked.
"No, I need to think about stuff," Izuku said. He turned to his very worried friend, "I promise you that I'm fine, I just need a quick jog, that's all."
"Alright...it's almost morning anyway, might as well get a few more winks in," Mayday said. "Just be careful, otherwise Mr. Aizawa will flip out."
"I'll be careful," Izuku said
Current Time
"Even though it was a dream, it still felt real," Izuku thought to himself as he recalled the little brother. "The moment our hands touched, it was over. In that instant, I saw the predecessors reaching out to me."
Izuku looked back and saw the sunrise, signaling that it was morning time. Wanting to get to the bottom of this, he called a quick meeting.
"You saw memories of the original wielder?" All Might asked. He was sitting in a room with Izuku, and the two were not alone.
Peter was also in the room, not just by Izuku's request, but Mayday's as well. The girl could not be there due to her own schoolwork that needed to be done, but Peter made time to stop by.
"Yeah, it was scary," Izuku said. "Mostly because All for One was a part of the dream too."
"Sounds like you had a rough night, buddy," Peter said. "Dreams like that can be intense, I definitely know from experience."
"It felt so familiar too, those old visions," Izuku said as he focused on his mentor. "You've seen them too, haven't you All Might? The previous wielders of our quirk?"
"Yeah, I have," All Might said. "I learned my Master, my predecessor that is, about the existence of vestiges. That's why I even know how the power works. I witnessed its history."
"The memory stopped after the first wielder was given the quirk, then he spoke to me," Izuku said. "He told me that I'm only using twenty percent of my power. Then he mentioned The Singularity. He was looking right at me."
"Huh?" All Might said.
"When I first saw them during the Sports Festival, you said they were like ghosts that didn't have intentions." Izuku said. "But I think they wanted something from me."
"Don't say Force Ghosts. Don't say Force Ghosts. Don't say Force Ghosts..." Peter thought to himself before speaking. "So it's like Force Ghosts?" "DAMMIT!"
"Something like that," Izuku said, bringing some relief to Peter. "Though when I told Mayday, she had a different reaction."
Last Night.
"Don't say Avatar Cycle. Don't say Avatar Cycle. Don't say Avatar Cycle," Mayday spoke aloud. "So like The Avatar Cycle?" "DAMMIT!"
Present Moment.
"Ha, what a nerd," Peter said, then immediately earned a glare from the two. "What? Coming from me it's a term of endearment!"
All Might took a moment to think about this, "So, he spoke with the first wielder." He then spoke aloud, "I didn't experience it like you did, and you know everything my master told me. Based on what you said, this phenomenon has only happened to you."
Many years prior.
"What you saw wasn't a dream," Nana Shimura said as she took off into the air. "It was the vestiges."
"But Master, what does that mean?" A younger All Might asked as he followed. "Do you know?"
"One for All has had many users, and now they're stored within it," Nana said. "They each had their own goals in life. Heroes that they wanted to become. "Feelings are what fuel power, Toshinori. That's just how the world works. The emotions of those who cultivated One for All are woven into the ability itself. But that's just my opinion."
"That sounds like a cult like mindset," All Might said.
"More like hopeful thinking," Nana replied as she turned to All Might. "If the battle for justice leads to my death, maybe we'll meet again inside of One for All. Like I said, hopeful."
Present Day.
All Might is currently in deep thought regarding Nana, barely even acknowledging his company.
"All Might?" Izuku said, trying to get his attention. "You still with me?"
"And...he spaced out," Peter commented as he walked over to clap near the teacher's head. "Yo! All-"
Suddenly All Might perked up as his hemorrhage activated, startling both Izuku and Peter in the process.
"Every time you do that, I get really worried about your health!" Peter said. "Are you sure that's not harming you in any way!?"
"I've been dealing with this for years, I'll be fine," All Might insisted. "Anyway, Young Midoriya. It sounds like you powered up and it woke you. Are you hurt?"
"I'm fine," Izuku said.
"I'm happy to hear that," All Might said. "I wish I had more answers. But I don't have a clue as to what happened to you last night. I'm still trying to figure out that Singularity thing."
"There is a theory about that, The Quirk Singularity Doomsday thing or something," Izuku said. "Quirks mix and evolve as they're passed down through generations. Kids get a mix of what their parents have. The theory is that this will lead to stronger and more complex power one day. And extraordinary abilities that no one will be able to control. Which makes some sense."
"I heard about this as well," Peter said. "Right now, kids with the X-Gene have the potential for incredible power, compared to anyone with the Extra Pinky Joint. I remember how strong Bobby was as a kid. Then you got others like Storm and Jean Grey who are major threats in their own rights."
"You have something unique to yourself, don't you Peter?" All Might asked.
"You could say that," Peter said as he looked at the palm of his hand. "The Spider Quirk is unique among others, only a select few have it. Me, Miles, Gwen, Peni, Miguel, Pav, Mayday and Benjy...granted they're all different in their own ways, it's still a commonality."
"Isn't there another one?" All Might asked. "A girl named Cindy?"
"Oh yeah, Silk," Peter recalled the flirty woman. "She taught me all about Spider Pheromones. Way too eagerly I might add."
"You had a brother too, right?" Izuku asked.
Peter nodded in confirmation, "Yeah, Ben Reilly. Technically he was cloned from me, but still close enough."
"Wasn't there another clone?" All Might asked.
"Yeah, but I haven't heard from Kaine in forever," Peter said. "I don't know if he's even alive."
"There's two clones?" Izuku asked.
"There was a third, one created by Otto Octavius," All Might said.
"You mean Doctor Octopus?" Izuku asked.
"Correct, but he fell in battle years ago," All Might said. "So it seems like the only Spider Clone still alive is Kaine, and even Peter isn't sure."
"The idea of cloning quirks...that seems like something All for One would be interested in," Izuku said. "I don't suppose anyone knows if All for One had contact with someone of this nature?"
"Aside from S.I.N., we're not sure," Peter said. "But don't let that get to you right now. You don't need that piled on this whole Vestiges thing."
"I still would like to know if Young Midoriya is the cause of these events," All Might focused on the boy. "Do you remember anything else? Any small detail could be a huge help."
"Give me a second to think," Izuku said as he flashed back to the dream. "Well, there were two figures I couldn't figure out. And you were a glowing blur. Might be because you're still relatively new, and alive? You think that's how it works?"
"Sorry kid, but your guess is as good as mine," All Might said. "But know that One for All is your ally. We'll keep investigating this together."
"Right, we'll do our best!" Izuku said.
"I'll help too, however I can," Peter said.
"Thanks, I know this is much foreign to you since you were never a wielder, and you didn't know about One for All until recently," All Might said.
"I'm good at figuring things out," Peter said.
"By the way, there's one more thing I want to say!" Izuku said. "It's about your old Master, All Might!"
"My Master?" All Might asked.
"Yeah...she was so beautiful!" Izuku gushed.
All Might smiled in agreement, "Isn't she!?"
Peter furrowed his brow at the two, "What a couple of simps."
"You've got practical training this afternoon," All Might said. "Better go or you'll be late."
"Oh yeah, Aizawa actually wanted me there for that one," Peter said. "Guess he's finally warming up to my illuminating personality."
"Well, let's go then," Izuku said.
Down the hall, as Aizawa left his room, he heard some talking from nearby.
"I'll be watching your training later," All Might said while walking with Izuku and Peter. "It'll be a riot."
"In a good way?" Izuku asked.
"Of course, it's you three," Aizawa said. "You look like you're thick as thieves, as usual."
"Heh..." Peter smiled at an old memory.
"Oh! Aizawa!" All Might said while freaking out. "It's nothing! No special treatment or funny business!"
"It's not like I caught you doing anything you shouldn't be..." An annoyed Aizawa said. "Dial it back."
"...Did you have to make it sound so weird?" All Might asked.
Coming out of the room Aizawa was in was a General Studies student, one that Izuku recognized.
"Oh I know you, Shinso right?" Izuku asked.
Indeed it was Hitoshi Shinso, the boy now glancing at Izuku. "Oh, a Class A Student."
"You look familiar," Peter said.
"I was at The Sports Festival, I lost in the Calvary Battle against your daughter, Spider-Man," Shinso said. "But it's fine, meeting her has been life changing."
"That so?" Peter asked. "Well, I'm glad to hear."
"Mayday said you wanted to be a hero, and I heard you've been pursuing it," Izuku said. "I hope Mr. Aizawa's been helping."
"Oh yeah, I've been learning a lot," Shinso said.
"Midoriya..." Aizawa said, the man's eyes piercing through Izuku's soul. "You should get ready, it's going to be a busy day today."
"Yes sir!" Izuku said.
"Spider-Man...I hope you're prepared too," Aizawa said.
"Prepared for what? A Pop Quiz?" Peter asked.
"Just get to the training grounds," Aizawa said. "And try not to overreact later."
"...That's ominous," Peter thought to himself.
At the steel structure training grounds, all the students from 1-A were gathering for their training session.
"Wow! I can't believe we're already back at it!" Toru said as she hopped around in glee. "Aren't you excited!?"
"Don't you get cold like that, Hagakure?" Jiro asked.
"Don't worry, I have a suit," Toru confirmed. "Peter helped hook me up by talking to Mr. Fantastic and The Invisible Woman! Making an invisible suit was a cinch!"
"Can't be surprised, he was worried about your choice of wardrobe," Jiro said. "No way he'd let you walk around in wintertime with little resistance from the cold."
"Speaking of winter, check out my outfit," Mina said as she showed off her furry vest. "Isn't it cute?"
"It's lovely," Momo said, the girl now wearing a cape.
"I didn't realize that the temperature had dropped so much," Ojiro said.
"Everyone's costume has changed for the winter," Tenya said. "They've adapted just as we have."
"I'm impressed that you lasted through the summer in all that gear," Sato said.
Flurry stretched out her legs, having added some leggings to her costume, "Pretty cool huh? They're blue, just like Wonder Woman's."
"You should be used to the cold, yourself," Sero said. "Your Kingdom is around a snowstorm, isn't it?"
"It is, but we are protected from it," Flurry said. "So long as The Crystal Heart isn't broken."
"Still nuts that you were named after a big snowstorm," Sero said. "One that you caused."
"I was only a few days old at the time, cut me a break," Flurry said.
"Good thing my suit is cold resistant," Mayday said as she glanced down at her suit. "MJ is such a life saver."
"It's amazing how well your suit adapts to the weather," Izuku said, then noticed the oncoming arrival of Bakugo, Kirishima and Kaminari. "Wow, Kacchan's outfit is different too."
Bakugo, who was now wearing long sleeves, marched over in an angry fashion, "Hey! If you have something to say, then say it to my face nerd! WHILE I'M BLASTING YOURS!"
"How does it work?" Izuku asked. "Do your gauntlets come equipped with a heat generator? It'd be a smart modification to combat the cold given that your power comes from your sweat glands. It's impressive!"
"STOP PRAISING MY SUIT!" Bakugo shouted.
"You're one miserable kid, Katsuki Bakugo," Flurry commented.
Bakugo immediately glared at the Crystal Princess, "What was that!?"
"Nothing you would be able to comprehend," Flurry snapped back.
"Oh yeah!? Come at me then!" Bakugo declared.
"Easy you two, save it for the training," Mayday said.
"Speaking of suit upgrades, it seems like Midoriya has gone through quite a bit himself," Ojiro said.
"I had to upgrade because I learned some new moves," Izuku said as he checked his gloves. "These gloves are going to come in handy."
"They're not the same you started with, right?" Mayday asked.
"Right, these are the 2.0 versions," Izuku said as Ochako looked on in admiration. "Hatsumei made some changes to the original design that makes them even stronger."
"She's very talented," Ojiro said.
"But really weird," Mayday said, unaware that this talk of Hatsumei was causing Ochako's eyebrow to twitch. "I don't know why Aunt Peni likes her so much."
"Because Mei and Aunt Peni aren't that different," Flurry said.
The more Ochako thought of Hatsumei, the more she recalled an explosion a couple of months back which caused her to land on Izuku, sandwiching the boy between her breasts and Mayday's.
"Bad thought!" Ochako shouted as she punched her own head.
"What's the matter with you!?" Ojiro asked in worry.
"Another weirdo..." Mayday commented.
"Well look who we have here? Relaxed and full of yourselves as always," Came a familiar voice as a tumbleweed blew by. "Once again, you underestimate us."
"There you are, we've been looking forward to this," Kirishima said as he cracked his knuckles.
"Is that so? Not sure why, there's no way you stand a chance against us in this exercise," Came Monama's voice as he and his class came in together. "Come on Class A! Let's see who's best once and for all!"
"Guess this was inevitable," Mayday said.
Entering from UA Class B Yosetsu Awase, Sen Kaibara, Togaru Kamakiri, Shihai Kuroiro, Itsuka Kendo, Yui Kodai, Kinoko Komori, Ibara Shiozaki, Jurota Shishida, Nirengeki Shoda, Pony Tsunotori, Kosei Tsuburaba, Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu, Setsuna Tokage, Manga Fukidashi, Juzo Honenuki, Kojiro Bondo, Neito Monoma, Reiko Yanagi, Hiryu Rin, Rina Howlett and Franklin Richards.
"By the way! You might wanna take a look at this!" Monama shouted as he frantically pulled out a piece of paper. "It's a survey that I found enlightening! I asked what was better! Class A's pathetic attempt at being rockstars! Or Class B's obviously superior play! Lo and behold, and you lost by two votes! Ha! You've been hogging the spotlight outside of school but your standing on campus is trash!"
"Wait, did we really blow it at the festival?" Kirishima asked.
"I bet this is rigged," Mayday commented.
"Now, it's Class A vs Class B! Our first joint combat training!" Monama maniacally shouted. "You're finished!"
Suddenly, Monama's neck was wrapped by Aizawa's scarf, the teacher having had enough of Monama's weird behavior.
"That's enough," Aizawa said.
"Stranglehold!" Awase said.
"Wow, Itsuka didn't even need to do anything this time," Franklin commented.
Next came Vlad King as 1-B's teacher explained the situation, "Today, we will have two special participants."
"Please try not to embarrass yourselves if at all possible," Aizawa said.
"Who's going to be joining us?" Momo wondered.
"I'll murder them!" Bakugo shouted.
"Is one of them a babe?" Kaminari asked.
"We'll do our best, whoever it is!" Kirishima and Tetsutetsu said.
"This first person is interested in switching to the hero track," Aizawa noted as a familiar boy wearing UA Gym clothes in addition to Aizawa's capture scarf made his presence known.
"No way, is that?" Ojiro worriedly commented.
"Huh, so he's actually going through with it," Mayday said.
"From General Studies Class C, Hitoshi Shinso," Aizawa introduced. "He will be joining in on your training, so treat him like you would treat any classmate."
"Wow, isn't this cool Mayday?" Izuku said. "Shinso mentioned he wanted to be a Hero Student, didn't he?"
"Yeah, he might actually have a chance after this training exercise," Mayday said. "His mind control skills are no joke."
"Tell me about it," Ojiro lamented, recalling how he was forced to team with Shinso.
Franklin looked displeased upon seeing this boy, "Great..."
"You mad, Frankie?" Rina asked.
"This guy tried making us look bad at the Sports Festival," Franklin said. "Now we gotta let him join in on our training?"
"Hey, maybe you'll get to fight him," Rina said. "This could be fun."
"Wow, looks like he has Aizawa-Sensei's capture scarf," Flurry said. "He looks like a little sidekick."
"Welcome to the club!" Tesutetsu cheered.
"We must be weary of his brainwashing," Yuga commented.
"Yeah, it's a powerful quirk," Ojiro said. "All you have to do is just talk to him."
"Not that powerful," Franklin said. "Mayday snapped out of it, as did I."
"Same with me and Flurry," Rina said. "Got all four of us a ticket to the real tournament."
"Well, three of you," Franklin rubbed his arm. "I slipped on Shoto Todoroki's ice, so I didn't get to show what I was capable of."
"Oh yeah, sorry about that," Shoto said. "I didn't intend for you to be collateral damage."
"Wording it like that makes me sound weak," Franklin said. "You better hope you're not going against me, Colgate."
"Huh?" Shoto asked.
"Frankie, be nice!" Flurry warned. "Shoto said he was sorry, man up and forgive him."
"Okay fine," Franklin said. "At least Tetsutetsu got to settle his beef with Eijiro Kirishima."
"Yeah that fight was awesome," Rina said. "Kind of wish Class B made it further."
"You made it pretty far, too bad you lost to Bakugo over there," Awase said.
"Well, it looks like I'm getting my second chance soon," Rina proudly stated.
"I'll send you running back to your daddy," Bakugo warned.
"...Watch it," Rina fired back.
"At least you made it further than I did," Flurry said. "I lost fighting against Izuku. No regrets but I would have loved to move on and test my skills against Shoto."
"You would have made an interesting opponent," Shoto confirmed. "Regardless of what my father thought, you handled yourself really well."
"Aw, thanks Sh-wait," Flurry glanced at the boy. "Does your father not respect me?"
"Not yet," Shoto said.
"...Dang..." Flurry lamented.
Izuku rubbed his chin in wonder, "Funny, the first time I saw the vestiges of One for All was during my match against Flurry. She got me really sleepy and then, boom. Does that mean I will continue to see them again in my dreams?"
"We have a second potential student," Aizawa said. "This one isn't from UA, but if things go well, a transfer may be possible."
"Wow really?" Kirishima asked. "So is it a Shiketsu student?"
"Or someone from Ketsubutsu?" Mina asked.
"Actually, she's from overseas," Aizawa said.
"She?" Kaminari asked. "So we ARE getting a babe!"
"I'm more curious about the overseas part," Ojiro said. "Is she American?"
"Correct, she's from New York to be precise," Aizawa said.
"From my turf?" Mayday asked.
"Didn't expect to have another student from New York," Kaminari said. "Hey Parker, any ideas on who it could be?"
"I don't know anyone from New York that would transfer here," Mayday said.
"How about you, Richards?" Tetsutetsu asked.
"Got me," Franklin said.
"Is this girl from a hero family?" Momo asked.
"No, but her family is closely associated with heroes," Aizawa said. "Now, when you see her, I expect you all to be on your absolute best behavior. I want no judgement from any of you. Especially anyone in my class."
"I expect my class to show respect too," Vlad King said.
"Hey we have no problems with American students," Kirishima said.
"Yeah, we're cool with Parker, Richards and Howlett," Kaminari said.
"I'm Canadian, dimwit!" Rina shouted.
"Somehow, I keep forgetting that Wolverine is from Canada," Ojiro said.
"If you don't mind, I'd like to introduce our guest," Aizawa said as he gestured to a girl. "Meet your potential new classmate."
This girl in question was wearing a green suit with a yellow electric spark for a mask. Her design looked more familiar to some more than others.
Mayday in particular recognized this pattern, while Franklin and Rina recognized the girl, even with her mask on.
"Everyone, I'd like you to meet Allison Dillion," Aizawa said.
"Call me, Ally," the girl said.
Mayday's mouth hung open as she pointed at the girl, "Y-you!"
"Is that Mayday Parker?" Allison said. "Wow, it's such an honor to meet you. My dad knows your dad quite well."
"I feel like I've seen that design somewhere before," Kaminari said.
"Yo teach, you know who this is right!?" Mayday asked. "Better yet, you know who her father is, right!?"
"I believe I said not to pass judgement," Aizawa reminded.
"But this girl, this is Electro's daughter!" Mayday confirmed.
"Electro!?" Kaminari asked in disbelief. "Wait, as in the electric villain that Spider-Man usually fights!?"
"The very same!" Mayday said. "That guy's given my dad such a hard time over the years!"
"I'm not even surprised," Franklin said. "I did say that Rina and I saw this girl at the Provisional Licenses exam."
"It's true, that was my big break," Allison said. "Unfortunately I came up short, and I don't have my liscence yet, which is why I figured I'd try my luck with UA."
"Why though!? What are you even up to!?" Mayday asked. "Is this one of your dad's schemes!? Is he after my dad!?"
"Parker, that's enough," Aizawa warned.
"But, it's Electro's daughter!" Mayday reminded.
"I know that your family and Electro have had a pretty bad rivalry over the years," Aizawa said. "But, Allison Dillion is not responsible for what her father has done. She chose to use her quirk to become a hero."
Mayday turned away in annoyance before focusing back on Aizawa, "Does daddy know about this?"
"I do..." Came Peter's voice as he walked over with a surprise guest. "And I had your reaction too, but my buddy here calmed me down."
"No way!" Mayday said as she laid eyes on the guest. "You're here too!?"
"I know that guy...the Demon of Hell's Kitchen!" Izuku declared as the man was now at the center of everyone's attention. "The Fearless Hero! Daredevil!"
Pro Hero: Daredevil. His Quirk, Radar. Born quirkless, an accident involving chemicals took a young Matt Murdock's eyesight, but in turn enhanced his other senses to the point where he could function just as good if not better than a person with all five senses.
"Hello UA High School," Daredevil greeted.
"M...Daredevil?" Mayday asked. "Wait, what are you doing in Japan?"
"I accompanied this young lady," Daredevil said while gesturing to Allison. "I am assisting in her goals to becoming a hero."
"Daredevil here was nice enough to cover my flight to Japan," Allison said. "Both for the Provisional Exam, and now."
"So, have you always been there keeping an eye on her?" Mayday asked.
"No, I actually just arrived myself," Daredevil said. "She came here on her own."
"Wait, you let a girl her age come here by herself?" Flurry asked.
"No, I actually asked Elektra to take her, but she backed out at the last second for personal reasons," Daredevil said. "I did not know until after the fact."
"I don't need a babysitter anyway," Allison said. "Besides, she didn't trust me."
"Damn, kind of wish Elektra did come," Rina said. "She's a cool chick; she was even one of my trainers growing up. She also trained my mom how to fight with sais."
"Who is Elektra?" Ochako asked. "Is she a pro hero too?"
"Not quite," Peter said. "She's technically part of The Defenders, but she's in a tricky position so to speak."
"She's a vigilante, illegally acting as a pro hero while, as usual, the American Government does nothing about it," Aizawa said.
"Like the Japanese Government is any better with its hero laws," Peter snapped back.
"Come on now, let's not get too political here, that leads to tension," Daredevil said. "Elektra isn't a licensed pro, but she is part of The Defenders, which has acted accordingly within the law."
"Man, the hero world is a strict place," Allision said.
"As it should be," Aizawa said.
Peter focused his attention on Allison, the hero amazed to see the child of one of his enemies standing before him in a hero school. "So...Allison right?"
"Call me Ally," Allision insisted.
"Okay Ally," Peter said. "I gotta say, I didn't expect to see you here. Honestly I didn't even know you existed. I don't think your father mentioned having a kid."
"Figured as much," Allison said. "Not that it matters, he was barely around anyway. It was me and my mom for most of my life, until recently."
"What happened recently?" Peter asked.
"Let's just say my living conditions had to change," Allison said.
"Meaning?" Peter asked.
"She went to a few different foster homes," Daredevil confirmed. "Her mother passed away last year, and since we couldn't get into contact with Electro, she had limited options."
"It's his loss if he didn't wanna bother coming to see me," Allison said. "I'll just become a famous superhero and rub it in his face. I never needed my father before, and I don't need him now!"
"...I'm sorry you feel that way, Ally," Peter said.
"Don't be, my dad made his choice, and I'm making mine," Allison said. "And hey, don't worry about a thing Spider-Man. I'm not mad that you put my father in jail, I'm just mad that I wasn't enough for him to change for the better."
"To be fair, I know some crooks who aren't proud of what they do, mainly because they have kids," Peter said. "Take Sandman. He was one of my biggest enemies, but he never usually acted out of malice. Flint just had a rough life, but he always prioritized his daughter."
"Well I guess I'm not lucky enough to have had a father like Sandman then," Allison said. "Seriously, it's no big deal. I don't need my father, I can make it on my own."
Despite her claim, Peter could detect a bit of sadness in the girl's voice, as he grew empathetic toward her.
"Well let's not dawdle too much on this, we do have an exercise to get to," Aizawa said. "Spider-Man, where are the others?"
"It's fun to stay at the school of UA!" Came Johnny's voice as he kept singing along with Rainbow Dash and Bobby to the beat of Y.M.C.A. "It's fun to stay at the School of UA!"
"Oh good grief..." Aizawa lamented as Johnny came in dancing with Rainbow Dash and Bobby Drake.
"They've got everything!" Johnny sang.
"To breed some heroes!" Rainbow Dash continued.
"They can handle all the noise!" Bobby finished.
"Wow, catchy," Kirishima said.
"It's fun to stay at the school of UA!" They continued. "It's fun to stay at the-"
"Enough!" Aizawa demanded. "This is a school, not a rock concert."
"Plus, according to this chart I made..." Monama said as he once again pulled the sheet out. "UA is more inclined to enjoy the art of thespians than-"
"Whoa, did you say lesbians?" Bobby asked. "Who came out?"
"Maybe Midnight?" Johnny said. "She and Mount Lady show a lot of sexual tension with each other. All we need is a video camera."
Mineta began imagining the two women in a promiscuous position, the boy's nose slightly bleeding as a smile beamed across his face, "These guys are geniuses!"
"Guys, knock it off," Peter said. "I'm pretty sure that kid said 'Thespians'. Unless his accent is just that thick."
"My English is top notch actually, all of 1-B excels well in the language, soon we'll be taking America by storm," Monama showed off his sheet. "Just like we took UA by storm with our stunning play! It outranked Class A's pitiful concert by a wide margin."
"The hell!? Earlier he said it was by two votes!" Kaminari said.
"Does it matter? Point is that Class B prevails!" Monama said.
"Damn dude, mind if I see?" Johnny asked as he took the paper.
"You should be honored, your nephew's class is top notch," Monama said. "Then again you do seem more fond of Class A for whatever reason. Kind of shameful. Especially now that you know-"
Johnny then burned the paper and blew the ashes in Monama's face as he smirked at the kid, "Damn, sucks to be you, huh?"
No one could believe it, aside from Franklin who saw that coming. "I didn't even need to read my uncle's mind to know he would do that. Pretty badass though."
"Your play was alright, Franklin was the saving grace," Johnny said. "But don't you dare act like Class A didn't put their heart and soul into that concert. My wife definitely loved it, she wouldn't stop singing it any chance she got."
"It's true, it got stuck in my head so I would whip it out on occasion," Rainbow Dash sheepishly admitted.
Jiro couldn't believe what she heard, the girl herself feeling flustered by what Rainbow Dash said. "She really liked my song that much?"
"The bias you have for Class A is shameful," Monama said. "How do you think your nephew feels?"
"The play sucked, and I wish I could have been part of that concert instead," Franklin said.
"..Ever the class traitor, aren't you Frankie?" Monama condescendingly asked.
"I told you that you don't get to call me that!" Franklin warned.
"Hey, enough you two!" Vlad King warned. "This is a team assignment, I expect my class to be a well-oiled machine!"
"Torch, where is everyone else?" Aizawa said
"Right behind you," Johnny said, gesturing to a larger incoming group.
Twilight led the way with Rarity by her side. Also present were Logan, Fluttershy, Wade, Pinkie Pie, Remy, Applejack and Peni.
Also coming in were the duo of Nightwing and Starfire, along with the duo of Gohan and Videl.
Aizawa began a head count, "Okay, that's eighteen so far."
"Eighteen?" Izuku asked. "Wait, why are there so many heroes here?"
"I'll answer in a second," Aizawa said. "Where are the last two?"
"They're coming," Johnny said as he gestured to two others. The first was Gwen Stacy, the girl having just flown in from Japan.
"Sup UA?" Gwen greeted.
"Gwen, you're here?" Mayday asked.
"Sure am, kiddo," Gwen said. "I came by to make sure Peter's doing alright, especially after some recent stuff."
"Ever the worrywart," Peter said.
"Dad, you didn't tell me Gwen was coming," Mayday said.
"I didn't find out until this morning, this was just as much of a surprise for me," Peter said.
"So, is Thwippy here too?" Mayday asked.
"He missed his plane," Gwen confirmed. "There was some trouble in the city, Rhino got loose."
Tenya instinctively rubbed near his shoulder, "Is it bad?"
"Miles has it under control, but he can't be here," Gwen said. "Which is fine, because someone else wanted to come back."
Lastly coming in was an X-Men member who doubled as a UA Alumni, "Yo, what's up UA? Glad to be back!"
"It's Shadowcat," Izuku noted. "That's a big surprise."
"Well she was here not too long ago," Mayday said. "Still, I didn't expect to see Kitty at all."
"Okay, that makes twenty," Aizawa said. "Glad you could all make it."
"You're lucky I'm here," Gwen said. "Especially considering how last minute it was."
"I'm aware," Aizawa said. "Now, you're all probably wondering why I called you here."
"Got that right, I was under the impression that you hated us," Johnny said.
"I do," Aizawa confirmed. "But, as much as it pains me to say it, I would like your assistance."
"Someone's honest," Applejack said. "Ah shouldn't talk but wow. What'd we ever do to you?"
"I don't have all day to tell you why I despise most of you," Aizawa said. "But I know you care about these kids, so I have a request."
"Let me guess, it's a training thing, right?" Peter asked.
"Yes, I suppose that was obvious," Aizawa said. "I need your assistance for an exercise I'm planning."
"Must be fun," Peter said.
"Before I do, how about we let our guests say a few words?" Aizawa said, first turning to the General Studies student. "Starting with you, Shinso."
Shinso nodded as he faced the students, "I am Hitoshi Shinso. I already faced some of you during the Sports Festival. But we're not friends just because we fought before. I don't subscribe to that notion of Sportsmanship. We're competing to be the best, and I'm already countless steps behind. I need to prove myself."
Mayday knew all too well what Shinso meant, especially after her run in with the boy at the Sports Festival.
"One day I will become a proper hero, and use my powers to help those in need," Shinso continued. "You are all hurdles for me to overcome. I'm not here to make friends. Thanks for having me."
After a few seconds, all the students began slowly clapping, trying to register what Shinso had to say.
"Whoa...he's so serious!" Ochako said.
"Be on guard," Tokoyami said.
"He's taking intensity lessons from you, Roki," Seto said to Shoto.
"Wait, you think so?" Shoto asked.
"Totally," Sero said.
"Wait, Shoto's nickname is Roki?" Flurry asked.
"I like this guy," Monama admitted.
"Good, now..." Aizawa turned to the young electric girl. "Allison Dillion?"
"Ally," The girl corrected.
"I'm your potential teacher, not a classmate," Aizawa warned. "I will address you the way a teacher would properly address his students, and you in turn will return that same courtesy."
"Okay fine..." Allison said. "Strict school."
"Remember Allison, this isn't New York, this is Japan, and they have different customs," Daredevil said. "Do you remember what I taught you?"
"Yeah um...always eat with chopsticks, bow a lot, and the number four is an unlucky number," Allison said.
"Bro what!?" Johnny asked.
"Dude, Four's bad luck in Japan," Peter said.
"We told you this back when you first went to UA," Twilight confirmed.
"I thought that was a prank," Johnny said, then turned to his nephew. "Yo Franklin, you find out about this too!?"
"My classmates told me, I just figured it was some weird Japanese Superstition," Franklin said.
"Please stop calling it that," Itsuka said.
Aizawa grunted in annoyance at Franklin's wording before focusing back on Allison, "I will make sure you are given constant reminders. Don't go overboard but at least try to keep our customs in mind."
"Sure thing Teacher Sensei," Allison said.
"Ally, those words mean the same thing," Daredevil pointed out.
"Ah, right," Allison said.
"Well, how about introducing yourself?" Aizawa said.
"Uh...I'm still rusty with Japanese, do any of these kids understand English?" Allison asked.
"Japanese students are taught English at a young age, not everyone will be perfect but they might at least understand what you're trying to say," Aizawa said. "Just speak honestly."
"Yes sir," Allison focused her attention on the class. "I am Allison Dillion, my friends call me Ally. You already know this, but my father is Electro. It's not something I'm proud of, but the good thing is that I have a chance to prove that I am more than the daughter of a supervillain. I aim to be a great hero and prove myself worthy of being among all of you."
Mayday furrowed her brow in suspicion. Despite Allison's claims, seeing her wearing a suit similar to that of her father's was not instilling Mayday with a lot of confidence.
"I get that we probably won't be friends right away, I even understand if some of you don't trust me yet," Allison said. "That just gives me all the more reason to prove to you why I belong in UA. I'm not letting anyone or anything stop me. So fair warning. If you stand by my side, I will consider you a friend. If you stand against me, then you'll be in for quite a shock."
"Tch..." Mayday rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"That's all I have to say," Allison turned back to Aizawa. "Floor's yours Eraser Head."
"It's Mr. Aizawa to you," the teacher said. "Or sensei, make your pick."
"Uh, alright, my Japanese is still bad, so I'll stick to English," Allison said.
"Pick up on Japanese, the school may encourage the English language but in the end, this is still Japan," Aizawa said. "At the very least, I hope you know how to read the text."
"Yeah, I can spell some of the words," Allison said.
"Using English Phonetics or using actual Kanji?" Peter asked.
"Um, what's Kanji?" Allison asked.
"You know, those Japanese letters that you've probably seen on the way here," Peter pulled out a newspaper. "Like this lettering here."
"Oh...that thing..." Allison nervously rubbed her head. "I'm not good with those. But it shouldn't be too hard, it's basically translating the alphabet, right?"
Peter shook his head at her answer, "Sorry, that's not how the Kanji works. They're not letters, they're more sounds."
"Sounds?" Allison asked.
"It's difficult to explain," Peter said. "But in Layman's Terms, Kanji is syllables. So instead of the alphabet being translated, you would translate words that end in vowels. So there's no A, B, C, but various sounds, like ah, or eh."
"Huh?" Allison asked.
"Take my name, my hero name is Spider-Man," Peter said. "But it's hard to spell properly with Kanji. So you take the syllables. Spi, Der, and Man."
"Don't forget the hyphen," Mayday teased.
"Real cute my little firecracker, but let's not complicate things," Peter then focused back on Allison. "So to spell my name, you'd need the Kanji. Spi is one, then there's Der. Though in Japan, you won't find too many words that pronounce the 'R', so my name is pronounced as 'Dah'. Spi-Dah. Like how my adopted daughter used to do."
"You have an adopted daughter?" Allison asked.
"Oh, right, you don't know that I adopted a Japanese girl," Peter said. "Her name's Eri, I rescued her from a local yakuza. Her previous guardian was mistreating her, so I gave her a new home."
"Wow, you actually saved a girl that needed it?" Allison asked in disbelief. "That's...actually really nice of you. Like, saving her is one thing but adoption?"
"It's no big deal, the girl needed a home, and I really liked her company, so I took her in as my own," Peter said.
"Does she know a lot of English?" Allison asked.
"She's still got an accent, but she's getting there," Peter said. "Just like you need to."
"Yeah, sure," Allison said. "Now, about those syllables."
"Excuse me," Aizawa said. "Listen, I appreciate you giving her a head start on Kanji, but we do have an exercise to get to. Plus, no offense, but you yourself aren't exactly perfect at this subject, and the last thing I need is for you to accidentally teach her the wrong thing. You have the basic idea, and I know you were trying to simplify it, but these things aren't easily simplified."
"Yeah, you're right," Peter said.
"This type of thing may be better left to your cousin," Aizawa gestured to Peni. "She is a native after all."
"Yeah, I got this," Peni said.
"Native?" Johnny asked. "Uh, little reminder that she grew up in New York. She's just as American as most of us pros are."
"Yes, I was raised in America, yes I was adopted by American parents and raised with my American cousin," Peni said. "But, despite that, I'm still a Japanese girl and I am just as in tune with my roots as I am with my American side."
"No matter where the world takes ya, you always remember where you come from," Applejack said. "Living in New York don't make me any less Equestrian."
"Do you ever get homesick?" Ojiro asked.
"Sometimes, but ah love living on mah new farm with mah husband and our kids," Applejack said. "On the bright side, while Remy and I are here, mah kids get to spend time in Equestria with mah brother Big Mac, his family and mah sister Apple Bloom."
"My daughter is with my parents and my sister Sweetie Belle as well," Rarity said.
"Johnny and I just flew Torus to Equestria," Rainbow Dash said. "My parents are going to watch over him."
"Just for a bit, Dash and I just didn't feel comfortable leaving him home alone too long," Johnny said. "Plus, the kid's behind on his schoolwork, so hopefully Bow and Windy can help him focus."
"Unless Scootaloo distracts him," Rainbow Dash said. "She is the cool aunt after all."
"Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo," Peter said, getting everyone's attention. "Three names that I have not heard in forever."
"The Cutie Mark Crusaders," Johnny said. "Those girls had limitless energy for sure."
"I remember them, they were so fun!" Flurry said. "I hope they visit soon."
"They probably will, and when they do, it will be unforgettable," Rainbow Dash said.
"Geez, you are such a chatty bunch," Aizawa said.
"Hey give us a break, we like reminiscing on the good old days," Rainbow Dash said.
"Well I suggest you focus on the present, we have an exercise to get to," Aizawa said.
"Right, it's time for combat training!" Vlad King said. "This will be a battle between Class A and Class B here in the corner of field Gamma! You will be grouped in teams of four, each competing one at a time."
"That sounds like fun," Setsuna said. "I hope it's a good mix."
"Me too!" Kinoko Komori said.
"If I may," Came the voice of Jurota Shishida.
"Go ahead," Vlad Kind said.
"Whoa...that kid reminds me of Hank," Bobby noted upon seeing the boy's quirk.
"Each class has twenty-two students, with Shinso and Allison Dillion, that makes forty-six students in total," Jurota continued. "How will our teams be divided evenly by four?"
"We considered this," Aizawa said. "So not counting Shinso or Dillion, the regular classes will be divided in a way that two teams from each class will have a fifth member. To keep it fair, they will be pit against each other."
"In addition, Shinso and Dillion will be competing opposite of each other as well," Vlad King said.
"So one side gets Shinso and the other gets Ally?" Ochako asked.
"Actually, they will be on both sides," Vlad King said.
"How would that work?" Franklin asked.
"In one round, Shinso will team with Class A while Dillion teams with Class B," Vlad King said. "Then later, they will switch so that Shinso will team with Class B and Dillion will be in Class A."
"Of course..." Mayday lamented.
"Mayday, be nice," Izuku scolded.
"May I ask something?" Allision said. "Why are me and this sleepy guy fighting twice?"
"I have a name," Shinso commented. "Also, I'm not sleepy."
"We need to see how well each of you do in each class," Vlad King said. "We want both Class A and Class B to see how they fair with you on each other's teams, this will help us decide where to place you should you be accepted."
"Plus, we already planned for Shinso to do it this way," Aizawa said. "When Nezu asked me to include you, rather than change plans, we decided to just do the same with you."
"At least the sides are even," Toru said.
"Yes, but keep in mind that having inexperienced classmates like Shinso and Dillion could be a disadvantage," Vlad King said. "Plus, the larger teams will have a handicap that will be explained soon."
"So, where does this leave us?" Johnny asked. "Is this something akin to the Practical Exams where these kids need to stop us?"
This response earned a worried reaction out of everyone, no one sure if they wanted to try their luck against the heroes again.
"Actually, this time around, you will be teaming with these kids," Vlad King said.
"Teaming?" Ochako asked. "Wait, can we pick which ones? I want Spider-Man on my team!"
"It should be obvious that you aren't deciding, Vlad and I are," Aizawa said.
"Figures..." Ochako lamented.
"Each team will get two pros to work with," Aizawa said. "Ten helping Class A, and ten for Class B."
"Sounds like we still have to fight them," Kaminari lamented. "But at least the odds are in our favor."
"Fine by me, I'll trash them!" Bakugo declared.
"Hey Eraser," Videl said while lightly glaring at Bakugo. "Do we get a say on who we fight? Because-"
"You do not get a say in anything either," Aizawa interrupted, much to Videl's annoyance. He then turned his attention to Vlad. "Time to explain the rules."
"Right," Vlad said as he began to explain the scenario. "Now listen closely. You're all hero agencies trying to capture a villainous organization. You should consider your opponents to be evil criminals. You'll win if you capture four competitors, or if you manage to capture just one of the assigned pros."
"They did say that villains are organizing more these days," Kinoko said.
"Alright, keeping it nice and simple!" Tetsutetsu said.
"Wait, so we're heroes but villains to the opposing team!?" Tenya asked in a panic. "I've lost this sort of roleplay before!"
"This does go against your nature," Momo said.
"Hey um, Tenya brings up a good point," Peter said. "This type of scenario is kind of weird. Wouldn't it be easier to assign one team as heroes and the other as villains?"
"The last time we did that, some of the students got carried away," Aizawa said while glancing at Bakugo.
"Why the hell are you looking at me like that!?" Bakugo angrily lamented.
Flurry subconsciously rubbed her arm, "Katsuki was way too comfortable in that villain role."
"Yeah but I don't think he'd act that way again," Mayday said. "Ever since getting kidnapped, he's become pretty chill."
"I can hear you two talking about me!" Bakugo shouted.
"Still, this exercise seems strange," Peter said.
"It's definitely as confusing as the plot of a Johnny Cage movie," Juzo said.
"...You watch Johnny Cage movies?" Tetsutetsu asked. "They're terrible!"
"Well that opinion won't bode well for cute hedgehog girls," Peter thought to himself.
"Don't worry about the exercise, we have this under control," Vlad King said. "Continuing on, in your team's base camp, you'll find an adorably decorated prison. Once you place your enemies behind bars, it will count as a capture."
"Who designed these things?" Kaminari asked.
"So cute!" Fluttershy commented.
"It would be more efficient to try and capture our opponents near their bases," Jurota said. "However, I doubt it will be that easy."
"Seriously, he speaks all sophisticated like Hank too," Bobby commented.
"So we gotta capture four losers, is that the disadvantage you were talking about?" Bakugo asked.
"Well you may not be great at fighting together," Aizawa said. "And if four people on a team with more than four get captured, that will count as a loss."
"Now we gotta haul around excess baggage!?" Bakugo asked. "That's bullshit!"
"Hey man, don't be mean about it," Kaminari said. "Besides, we can also win by just capturing one of the other pros."
"And how well did fighting a pro work out for you last time, lame brain?" Bakugo asked.
"Uh...right," Kaminari replied.
"Wait, can we capture anyone?" Johnny asked.
"No, you can incapacitate them, but actually throwing a student in a prison won't count if you do it," Aizawa said.
"But we can get captured," Rainbow Dash said.
"Yes, you're much stronger so this keeps things fair," Aizawa said. "I want the students to train with actual pros but I still need to keep this game only on hard mode, not expert."
"Seems kind of silly though," Gohan said. "We can incapacitate them but we can't throw them in jail."
"Rules are rules," Twilight said. "Let's just trust Eraser Head."
"Time to draw lots," Vlad King said.
One by one, the students began to pick out numbers. The first team of Class A were Kirishima, Koda, Kaminari and Tsuyu. The first team of Class B were Ibara, Tsurubara, Hiryu, and Jurota.
The second team of Class A were Momo, Toru, Yuga and Tokoyami. The second team of Class B were Komori, Kendo, Shihai and Manga.
The third Class A Team were Shoto, Shouji, Tenya, Ojiro and Flurry. The third Class B team were Kaibara, Tetsutetsu, Pony, Juzo and Rina.
The fourth Class A team were Bakugo, Jiro, Sato and Sero. The Fourth Class B team were Awase, Setsuna, Togaru and Kojiro.
The Fifth Class A Team were Izuku, Ochako, Mina, Mineta and Mayday. The Fifth Class B Team were Monama, Yui, Shoda, Reiko and Franklin.
"Now for Shinso and Dillion," Vlad Kind said.
Shinso pulled out two Numbers. Team 1 for Class A and Team 5 for Class B.
"That means Dillion gets the reverse," Aizawa said. "She will team with Class B in the first around and Class A in the fifth."
"Wait...but that means..." Mayday came to a sudden realization. "I'm on the same team as Allison Dillion!?"
"That's not all you should worry about," Flurry gestured to Class B. "You're going to fight Frankie."
"Oh yeah, you're right," Mayday said as she glanced over at Franklin. "Not just me, you're going to be fighting Rina."
"Yeah...I'm kind of worried about that," Flurry said as she glanced at Rina. "But, at least I get to team with Shoto."
"Yeah, and I get Izuku," Mayday glanced at a certain other teammate. "But Ochako's on the team as well."
"Don't worry about her, just be cool for Izuku," Flurry said. "I gotta focus on looking cool for Shoto. Or should I call him Roki?"
"You heard Aizawa, you gotta be close with a Japanese person before you use certain nicknames," Mayday said.
"Right, I'll work my way into that," Flurry said.
Meanwhile Kirishima pat Shinso on the back, "Welcome to the team! Let's have some fun out there! This is gonna be awesome! Get pumped!"
"Tell us more about your quirk!" Tsuyu said.
"I bet chicks dig your smile," Kaminari said.
Meanwhile Allison stood before her team in Class B, but already felt some tension.
"So...um...how are you liking Japan?" Hiryu asked. "I'm a foreigner myself, so I get how hard it can be here."
"You're a foreigner?" Allison asked.
"Yeah, I'm from China," Hiryu confirmed. "The language barrier wasn't easy at first. I had to learn Japanese and English from a young age, but I managed."
"That's nice," Allision said, still feeling out of place among her team.
Meanwhile Monama had met up with Shinso, the boy looking as nutty as ever.
"You're a perfect addition!" Monama boasted. "Let's destroy the always in danger Class A, together!"
"Take it from us and try not to focus on him if you can," Shoda said.
"Sure..." Shinso said, then focused on the sole American of the group. "It's been a while, Franklin Richards."
"Yeah..." Franklin still felt uncomfortable around Shinso. "Don't think I forgot about the Sports Festival. I just gotta keep an eye on this guy. Fortunately I know how his quirk works, and with my own quirk, I'll know what he's up to."
Allison stood by her team, each of them also looking just as uncomfortable, aside from Mineta.
"So...you got a boyfriend?" Mineta asked.
"No," Allison responded.
"You looking for one?" Mineta asked while shifting his eyebrows.
"Not really," Allison said, this disappointing Mineta.
Mayday glared hard at this girl, barely taking her eyes off her, "She's not setting off my Spider-Sense, so maybe she's not a danger to us after all. Still, I can't shake the feeling that this is a bad idea."
"Time for the pros to draw lots," Aizawa said.
"So, are we being randomly placed in teams too?" Johnny asked.
"I could do that, see most of you end up fighting against your own husbands or wives," Aizawa said.
"That's not funny, man," Bobby said.
"But, to avoid that, all of you will be teaming with your spouses," Aizawa said.
"What about anyone who isn't here with a husband or wife?" Gwen asked.
"Ghost Spider, you can team with Shadowcat since you arrived together," Aizawa said. "Plus, you were once classmates."
"Got that right," Kitty boasted as she high fived Gwen. "UA Alumni for the win."
"Daredevil and Peni Parker can make another team," Aizawa said.
"Well that's an honor," Peni said. "Alright Daredevil, let's whip these kids into shape."
"Sounds good to me," Daredevil said.
"Now, time to draw lots," Aizawa said as he and Vlad King dumped everything into one box to randomize it. "Spider-Man, you first. Draw for yourself and Princess Twilight."
"Alright," Peter said as he walked over to the box.
"Anyone who gets Spider-Man is going to have a huge advantage," Kaminari said. "He knows our class the best after all."
"He could end up with Class B," Tsuyu pointed out.
"Oh yeah...right," Kaminari lamented. "Man, I really don't want to fight Spider-Man."
Peter picked out a Number. "I got one of Class A's colors, and it says three." Peter looked around. "Which ones are Team Three again?"
"Team Three?" Tenya asked. "Why that's us! We're Team Three!"
"Yaaaaaay!" Flurry cheered. "I get to team with my aunt and uncle!"
"Spider-Man huh?" Shoto said, the boy now deep in thought. "How ironic, in the public's eye, this is the hero that rivals my father in popularity. Perhaps this could be a chance to get to know him better, and see him fighting up close."
Peter and Twilight walked over to join their team, with Flurry excitedly hopping up and down, unable to contain her joy.
"Alright, let's have a good training session," Peter said.
"I'm looking forward to working with you kids," Twilight said.
"The honor is all ours!" Tenya said as he bowed to the two. "Teaming with such refined heroes brings us joy."
"Hey, ease up," Peter said. "Come on, it's still us. The annoying old couple who bunks with you kids."
"Who you calling old?" Twilight teased.
"Old comment aside, you're far from annoying," Ojiro said. "It's funny too. Tenya and I went against you for our practical exam, now you're teaming with us."
"Yeah, I won't lie, I did kind of go easy on you two," Peter said. "Not that you aren't capable. You survived an encounter with The Rhino."
"True, but sadly we haven't done much to stand out since," Tenya said.
"Well now's your chance," Peter said. "Do your best, that's all that matters."
"Yes sir!" Tenya said.
"And please don't call me 'sir'," Peter insisted. "Let's just stick with Spider-Man. Right now, we're peers."
"Yes Spider-Man," Ojiro said.
Peter turned his attention to the dual quirk boy. "Hey, Shoto."
"Huh?" Shoto asked.
"How's your dad doing?" Peter asked.
"Oh, he's fine, thanks for asking," Shoto said. "My sister saw what you had to say about him, and his potential as Number One. It made her happy."
"Oh, so you have a sister?" Peter asked.
"Yes, she's a teacher at an elementary school," Shoto said.
"A teacher!?" Twilight said with sparkles in her eyes. "How wonderful, I have a strong amount of respect for teachers!"
"My sister would appreciate that," Shoto said.
The opposing team didn't seem too thrilled by this revelation.
"So we gotta fight Spider-Man?" Tetsutetsu asked. "That's gonna suck."
"I'm kind of worried," Pony said. "He's very strong."
"I'm kind of worried about his wife," Kaibara said.
"We'll be fine," Rina said. "We're getting our own pros too."
"I just hope they're enough to go against Spider-Man and his wife," Tetsutetsu said.
"Alright, next up," Aizawa said. "The Human Torch. Pick for yourself and Rainbow Dash."
Johnny pulled a lot, and found his Number, "I got Class A as well. Team One."
"That's us!" Kaminari cheered. "Bro! We got the Freaking Human Torch! Even better, we got his wife! Which means I don't have to fight her this time!"
"Chill man," Kirishima said. "But I do get the excitement, we've got great teammates!"
"I'm grateful, ribbit," Tsuyu said.
"Yo team!" Johnny said as he walked over with Rainbow Dash. "Ready to kick ass!?"
"You bet man," Kaminari said.
"Hell yeah!" Rainbow Dash cheered. "Let's do it, to it, everyone!"
The opposing team didn't seem too thrilled with this choice.
"This could pose as a problem for us," Jurota said. "The Human Torch has fire abilities that are believed to be Super Nova, and Rainbow Dash has gone beyond even The Sound Barrier, maybe more."
"This just got a whole lot trickier," Kiryu said.
"Wolverine, you're next," Aizawa said. "Draw for you and your wife."
Logan stuck his hand into the box and pulled out a number, "Class A. Team Five."
"Team Five!?" Ochako asked. "That's us!"
"Wait really!?" Izuku asked in disbelief.
"SCORE!" Mayday cheered. "I would have liked to have my dad on my team but Uncle Logan's just as great!"
"Honestly, this makes me nervous," Mineta said. "Wolverine's so scary looking."
"Oh I bet he's not that bad," Mina said. "Right Mayday?"
"No he'll definitely slice your balls off if you do anything stupid," Mayday said, this further worrying Mineta.
"Mayday, you shouldn't say things like that," Izuku said.
"Ahem..." Logan got the attention of the kids. "If we're going to do this, we're doing this right. I expect you kids to take this seriously, otherwise I'm focusing my attention on you, and you ain't gonna like that. Is that understood?"
"Yes sir!" The kids sans Mayday said.
"You got it, Uncle Logan," Mayday said.
"Drop the 'uncle' stuff, this ain't the time or place for that," Logan warned. "Until this exercise ends, you either call me Logan or Wolverine."
"Um, alright U...Wolverine," Mayday said.
"He's very intimidating," Izuku noted. "Not surprised, I've seen this side of him before. He does not play around."
"Let's just try to do our best," Fluttershy said. "In the end, what matters is if you learn anything that could benefit you."
"You got it," Mina said.
The opposing team looked just as disappointed.
"Great, now we have Wolverine to deal with," Franklin said.
"Typical of Class A, they get just about everything, because why shouldn't they have the world handed to them!?" Monama maniacally said.
"We still get pros of our own, let's not panic yet," Yui said.
"Deadpool," Aizawa said. "You're drawing for yourself and Pinkie Pie."
"Well duh, way to point out the obvious," Wade said as he marched over and grabbed a Number from the Box. "I got Class B! Pinkie and I are working with Team Two!"
"That's us!" Kendo said. "How fortunate!"
"Class B!" Wade leapt over with Pinkie by his side. "So...the underutilized class, the one that we haven't paid much attention to as of late."
"Uh, yeah, that's us," Kendo said.
"We're so happy to work with you!" Pinkie said. "I love getting to know new people! Of course I've seen a few of you before, especially the one with the orange hair!"
"I'm Itsuka Kendo," the girl introduced.
"Oh yeah, you were in that perfume commercial," Wade said. "You were with Momo Yao...Yao...crap I can't remember how her last name is pronounced."
"Yaoyorozu," Pinkie said. "And we're fighting against her."
"Right," Wade said. "Now, I need a run down on your quirks, abilities..." He then gestured to Manga. "And just what the hell this guy's supposed to be?"
"Wade! Don't ask that way, you'll hurt his feelings!" Pinkie said.
Manga's head took the symbol of a sigh as Kendo prepared to give the run down.
The opposing Team looked slightly concerned by this development.
"We're fighting Deadpool?" Toru asked. "Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"
"Deadpool is a top pro for a reason, he won't be easy to get past," Momo said. "Pinkie Pie is not to be taken lightly either."
"I have not seen either of them fight much, this may prove concerning," Tokoyami said.
"We'll be fine with some proper planning," Momo said. "Let's wait until we get our assigned pros.
"Iceman, you're next," Aizawa said. "Pick for yourself and Rarity."
Bobby walked over and pulled a name out from the lots, "Looks like I got Class B as well. Team One to be precise."
"That's us!" Kiyru happily said.
"We've received help from Iceman?" Ibara asked. "Oh no, this is not a good outcome."
"What's wrong with Iceman?" Kiryu asked.
"Well he is made of ice, which fire is strong against," Jurota said. "Elemental wise, we are at a disadvantage."
"You underestimate me, bro," Bobby said as he walked over with his wife. "Johnny's got fire, but his flames might as well just be a sunny day in The North Pole compared to me."
"Is your ice strong enough to endure against The Human Torch's flames?" Kiryu asked.
"My ice is stronger than Johnny's fire," Bobby said.
"Ha! Good one!" Johnny called from near his teammates. "You're going down hard!"
"Just try it!" Bobby said.
Kaminari seemed slightly nervous by this outcome, "I really hope I don't turn into an icicle out there."
"We'll be fine, let's leave Iceman and Rarity to Torch and Dash," Kirishima said. "The rest of us just needs to deal with Class B."
"Gambit, it's your turn," Aizawa said. "Time to see who you and your wife will go against."
"Luck of the draw..." Remy said as he pulled a number out. "Oooh, dis gon' be fun."
"Who'd we get?" Applejack asked.
"Class B, Team Five," Remy said as he turned to the kids. "The final act."
"Looks like we got Gambit," Monama said. "How quaint."
"That's good, isn't it?" Reiko asked. "I hear he's strong."
"He's very strong," Franklin said. "Way too many people underestimate just what he can do just because he isn't in the spotlight much. Between him and Applejack, we really lucked out. Especially if we want to survive against Wolverine and Fluttershy."
"Logan..." Remy turned to the veteran mutant. "See you out there, mon ami."
A rare smirk flashed on Logan's face, "For your sake, I hope you got better."
"Would I be where I am if I stood still?" Remy asked. "Poker ain't just about the luck of the draw."
"So...we're fighting Gambit," Izuku said. "Based on what I've seen in the forest, he's highly skilled. We'll need to be weary of his kinetic abilities."
"So we avoid his cards, right?" Ochako asked.
"Gambit can make more than just cards explode," Mayday reminded. "They're just easier for him to throw."
"He can make any object explode, "Izuku said. "Isn't that right, Logan?"
"Pretty much nailed it," Logan said. "He's gotten strong over the years, so don't be surprised if his explosions pack a powerful punch."
"Though I don't think he'll get carried away," Fluttershy said. "This is just training after all."
"At the very least, watch out for his bo staff skills," Mayday said.
"Of course," Izuku said.
"Nightwing, you're up," Aizawa said. "Draw for yourself and Starfire."
The hero placed his hand in the box, all the while glancing at Aizawa, "I gotta admit, I'm a little surprised you invited me. Especially considering that you've had less than kind things to say about my mentor."
"It wasn't my idea, it was Principal Nezu's," Aizawa said. "He wants to build a stronger bond between heroes here and from overseas."
"Well, give him my regards then," Nightwing said as he pulled the number out. "I got Class A, Team 2."
"That's us!" Toru said.
"Let us go, Nightwing," Starfire said as she floated over to the students with her husband close behind.
"Wow, working with Batman's original sidekick..." Momo commented. "It's an honor."
"Not just that, he's the leader of the Teen Titans," Toru said.
"Technically, our team name was never 'Teen Titans', that's just what some people in the public called us," Nightwing said. "We just wanted to be referred to as 'The Titans', but once people give you a nickname, it can stick with you."
"Even as adults, many still call us 'Teen Titans'," Starfire said. "I do not mind, I find it flattering that we still give off such youthful energy."
"Sounds like old lady talk to me!" Wade called from across, much to Starfire's irritation.
"Hey watch it!" Nightwing warned.
"Oh, you mad bro?" Wade asked. "Well you should be, because you're going against us!"
"Yeah! We're going to send you two back to the retirement home!" Pinkie taunted.
"Aren't you older than us!?" Nightwing asked.
"Your face is older than us!" Wade said.
Nightwing and Starfire glanced at each other in confusion before focusing back on the Wilson pair.
"This is already going to be a pain," Nightwing commented.
Kendo however seemed worried, "Can we handle Nightwing and Starfire? Nightwing trained under Batman, and Starfire has those alien powers of hers."
"I think we'll be fine," Komori said as she held a water spray. "There's no one my powers can't affect."
"Great Saiyaman, you're next," Aizawa said. "Pick for yourself and Saiyaman 2."
"Yes sir," Gohan walked over to pull out a number. "Class B...Team 3."
"Hey that's us!" Tetsutetsu said.
"Wait, that means we're going against Peter and Twilight," Videl said.
"Yeah...we are," Gohan said as he glanced toward Peter's direction.
The spider hero looked just as surprised, and slightly curious by this outcome, "So, this is where we're going, huh?"
"Should we be concerned?" Shoto asked.
"Depends..." Peter said. "If Gohan can hold back enough."
Gohan and Videl had made their way over to their team, where Pony was quick to greet them. "Howdy! Welcome to Class B!"
"It's an honor to work with the two of you," Juzo said.
"Let's do our best!" Tetsutetsu said as he slammed his fists together.
"Yeah, we'll do our best," Gohan said. He took a glance at Tetsutetsu, "I feel like I've seen you outside of school at least once."
"Probably at Capsule Corp, I did my mentorship there," Tetsutetsu said. "I trained under Vegeta with Kirishima."
"Wow really? Well at least that shows me you're tough," Gohan said. "Not many can handle Vegeta's training."
"Training with him wasn't too bad," Tetsutetsu said. "Training with Seto Kaiba though, that was kind of scary."
"Yeah, Seto is a bit...unhinged at times," Gohan admitted.
"A bit?" Videl asked. "That's generous."
"Let's not focus on this," Gohan said. "We have training to prepare for."
"Okay Ghost Spider and Peni Parker, you're both next," Aizawa said. "Pick for yourselves and your teammates."
"Finally calling us over?" Gwen asked as she approached the lots. "Couldn't help but notice that you only asked the guys to draw, and not the girls. You're not discriminating against female superheroes, are you?"
"...You better not be serious," Aizawa said, piercing Gwen with a glare that sent shivers down her spine.
"Of course not, come on, you really think I would be serious about that?" Gwen nervously said, still feeling the effects of the glare. "Seriously, I know you, and I know you're not that type of person. I just couldn't resist making a joke."
"Let's leave jokes like that at the front door," Aizawa said.
"He's right, we don't want to sound like America Chavez," Peni said.
Gwen shuddered a bit, "That girl, I don't trust her. I feel like she's brainwashing Kamala, and I'm worried that Miles is next."
"Miles is a smart boy, he won't do anything stupid," Peni said as she pulled a number out. "As for Kamala, her only hope is her friendship with Miles. He'll keep her from whatever nonsense America is trying."
"Well with Carol Danvers pulling the strings, it's hard to say," Gwen said as she looked at her number. "I got Class B, Team 4."
"Looks like she's working with us," Setsuna said.
"Which means..." Peni looked at hers. "By process of elimination, I got Class A, Team 4."
"That means she's on our team," Jiro said.
"Team Four also means..." Peni glanced at the explosion user. "That I have to team with Katsuki Bakugo."
"One way or another, I got too many damn spiders in my way," Bakugo bitterly commented.
"Great, now I gotta reign in that ego," Peni lamented.
"Best leave that to Daredevil," Gwen said as she gestured to the hero. "Meanwhile Kitty and I have our own fight to get ready for."
"Yeah, against me," Peni said while confidently gesturing to herself. "Good luck with that."
"Oh, sweet little Peni..." Gwen smirked down at the girl. "I don't need luck."
"Hey, save it for the practice," Aizawa said. "To your groups, now."
Gwen and Kitty went to meet with Class B, where the latter immediately tried talking up the others.
Peni and Daredevil met up with Class A, with Bakugo glaring at the latter with curiosity. "I don't even think I know this guy that well."
"The training is about to begin soon, get ready," Aizawa said.
All the students were preparing, and speaking to their teammates and mentors to prepare for the upcoming battle.
"So, Class B Team Five," Ochako turned to Mayday. "It will be the first you and Shinso have fought since The Sports Festival."
"I wouldn't call the last showdown a fight since it was just a Calvary Battle," Mayday said. "But this time I'll get to see how much he improved."
"I'm so curious myself," Izuku said as he pulled out a journal. "I can't wait to see how he uses his quirk for combat! And how well he uses Mr. Aizawa's capture scarf!"
"Where were you keeping that?" Ochako asked.
"How cute, he's just like Twilight used to be," Fluttershy commented.
"He better not get carried away with that crap," Logan said.
"Oh be nice, he's just enthusiastic," Fluttershy said.
Shinso placed a peculiar mask on, the boy looking more determined. "I finally reached my starting line."
"By the way," Aizawa pulled out a large briefcase. "A little gift for the pros that are volunteering."
He opened the cases to reveal very familiar gauntlets.
"Oh, it's those things again," Peter said as he glanced over the weights.
"Yes, they've been modified to weaken you more, just so that the other team has a genuinely fair chance," Aizawa said. "Your names should be near your gauntlets. Remember they're specially modified for your powers."
"Right, mine were designed to be fireproof," Johnny said as he attached his, feeling a strange surge through his body. "Jesus! What just happened to me!?"
"Like I said, you're being weakened," Aizawa said. "Can't have you going super nova out there."
"What are these exactly?" Bobby asked as he picked his pair up.
"Remember what we told you when-" Peter attached his and felt a similar surge. "Crap! That hurt!"
Twilight put hers on too, feeling similar pain, "I don't remember this type of pain last time."
"Anyway, like I was saying," Peter continued. "They weakened us so the kids fighting us wouldn't get demolished."
Bobby placed his on, feeling pain running through his body for a second. "So...these things weaken me?"
"They should be resilient to your ice too," Aizawa said.
Bobby tried freezing his, but no luck, "Who designed these?"
"A girl named Mei Hatsumei," Aizawa said.
"Mei, what a smart girl, I really respect her," Peni said as she placed her gauntlets on. "Well these will hardly affect me so I use my robot suit."
"That's why you need this," Aizawa said as he presented a USB drive to Peni. "This should weaken your robot temporarily."
"Uh...I'm gonna need to run some tests," Peni said as she took the drive. "I don't put just anything into my SP/dr. I trust Mei, she's a bright girl, but that robot means too much to me to take any chances."
"She didn't do this alone," Aizawa said. "Tony Stark assisted, with help from Bulma and Seto Kaiba."
"How much you wanna bet that Kaiba's the one who made them hurt?" Johnny asked.
"I wouldn't put it past him, dude's a major sociopath," Peter said.
"You're not wrong," Aizawa said. "Anyway, get to your positions."
"Teams will begin at your base camps! You have twenty minutes!" Vlad King said.
"If there's no decisive victory within the time limit, then whoever has the most people left will be the winners," Aizawa said.
"Good luck Tsu!" Franklin called.
"Thanks Frankie," Tsuyu bashfully replied before leaving with her team.
Monama glared at the boy with malcontent. "Cheering for the other class? You truly are a traitor, aren't you!?"
"Big talk considering you and I are teammates," Franklin said. "If I were you, I wouldn't get on my bad side."
"Just keep this in mind, Frankie," Monama said, much to Franklin's irritation. "Traditionally, UA classes only have twenty students per class. This year was an exception, and each class got two additional members, a leisure they may not pile on with. If Shinso or that villain's daughter get in, they might replace someone from either class, including you. If you're not a team player for Class B, you'll be hitting the road, never to be heard from again."
"Wow you talk a lot," Franklin said. "Focus on surpassing Izuku Midoriya and my friend Mayday, because if you're not careful, a slot in our class will open up due to a student being out for his hopelessness, and several broken bones."
"Come on boys, try to get along please," Kendo said. "Monama, be nicer to Franklin, he's just being a good sport. Franklin, don't feed into Monama's ego, just do your best and ignore him."
"He won't be able to ignore him once their team is up," Rina said. "So these two better learn to get along, otherwise my dad's going to annihilate them."
"All of you, focus!" Vlad King ordered. "Part of this is not just to do, but to watch and learn."
"Yes sir," Class B said.
Aizawa seemed to have second thoughts, "I really hope this is a good idea."
"Hasn't your class trained with many of these pros before?" Vlad King asked. "Some of them are even UA Alumni. Not that our say matters, in the end this was Principal Nezu's call."
"Still, any time UA outsources, it leads to more trouble," Aizawa said.
"We can trust these pros," Vlad King said. "If it's the Gauntlets you're worried about, then don't. Remember, they've been modified to give the students more of a chance."
"Yes, after Seto Kaiba 'generously' offered," Aizawa said. "Whenever he or Tony Stark volunteer to help, I always feel like I'm going to regret it."
"You're overreacting," Vlad King said, unaware that there was a camera nearby transmitting the feed to a familiar place.
Within Capsule Corp, Bulma was standing alongside Seto Kaiba as the feed from the training transmitted into the magically restored building.
"I still don't think this is the best idea," Bulma said.
"It's fine, we've done this before," Kaiba insisted. "You remember too, don't you Tony?"
Coming into view was Tony Stark, the man laser focused on the TV as well, "I need to see how things are going as well. I am a shareholder in UA after all."
"And we should make sure our new and improved gauntlets work just fine," Kaiba sinisterly insisted. "We're being generous with our money, it's only natural that we make sure the investment is worth it."
"Okay, but why did you invite everyone back?" Bulma asked as she gestured to the other guests.
"Medaka is a UA Alumni too, she was in Peter Parker's class," Kaiba turned to the girl. "You remember him, don't you?"
"Yeah, but he barely remembers me," Medaka said. "Whenever he does his class reunion stuff, I'm always the one forgotten about. Even Ling Xiaoyu gets invited."
"Mind your tongue," Came the voice of Jin Kazama, the head of the Mishima Zaibatsu.
"It's fine Jin," his friend Ling said. "No harm done."
"Why did you invite this maniac!?" Bulma asked as she gestured to Jin.
"It was Sunset's idea," Kaiba said as he gestured to the girl, also in the room.
"I'm just trying to build a bit of goodwill," Sunset said. "Besides if things go wrong, Chun-Li, Leon and Barrett have this."
The aforementioned duo were also present, the former looking a little annoyed, "I'm not here as a bodyguard."
"Well you practically are," Sunset said. "You always have my back."
"Listen, your actual 'bodyguard' is off trying to find parking space," Chun-Li said. "I was invited because I'm also an alumni. I wasn't in Peter's class since I was his upperclassman, but I still want to see how he and the other students are doing."
"I came because I'm curious," Came the voice of Avalanche Leader, Barrett Wallace.
"A lot of those kids have potential, they can easily get invited into any superhero group," Leon said.
"I have my Avengers invitation ready," Tony said. "Right now, I have my eyes on Izuku Midoriya, Shoto Todoroki and Momo Yaoyorozu."
"Why those three?" Bulma asked. "Well, maybe Izuku Midoriya is self explanatory. Even Goku says he has potential."
"He sure does," Goku said as he came into the room with some snacks. "I've been sparring with Izuku for some time now. He shows a lot of promise."
"I just hope you're not breaking his bones any more than he does," Came Vegeta's voice, the man already in the room and waiting for the training to begin.
"But why Shoto Todoroki and Momo Yaoyorozu?" Bulma asked.
"After that last practical, those two showed a lot of promise," Tony said. "Shoto has incredible power, and Momo has a creative mind."
"Too bad only one of them has a Provisional License," Came the voice of Rhodey, the man also having made his return. "If Shoto Todoroki can't get his license, what does that say about him?"
"The License doesn't make the hero," Tony said. "Even Peter failed his first licensing exam."
"Besides, we've seen him in action at the Sports Festival," Medaka said. "He's a strong kid, and that's just with his ice. His fire looks like it has loads of potential too."
"We all have stake in this," Tony said. "If any of the Justice League were here, they'd be scouting for candidates."
"Given that Nightwing's out there, I half expected Batman to be here," Bulma said.
"You know him, he likes his privacy," Tony said.
"Well what about our final guest here?" Bulma turned to the girl. "One who came all the way from another planet no less?"
The girl in question was the Chipmunk born to Royalty, the one and only Sally Acorn. "I won't lie, I'd love to recruit some of these kids into The Freedom Fighters."
"You seriously came all the way from Mobius for that?" Leon asked. "Is that even a good idea?"
"Things have gotten bad on our planet, thanks to Eggman," Sally said. "You should understand, you're dealing with Albert Wesker, aren't you?"
"She's got us there," Chun-Li said.
"I'm surprised your overprotective friends even let you come alone," Seto said. "Where's that pet kitty of yours?"
"Nicole is my little sister, not my pet," Sally said. "Also, I'm not alone. I have protection."
"Yeah, I noticed who you brought over..." Bulma cautiously said. "Where are they?"
"Hopefully not near any of your valuables," Kaiba said.
"Hey, I know Rouge is not exactly trustworthy, but she wouldn't steal while she's on the job," Sally said.
She then heard a whistle as a familiar Demon Hunter appeared near the door, "Yo, Sally. Your batty friend was trying to raid a closet."
"Was not!" Came the voice of Rouge the Bat.
Sally grumbled in annoyance, "Just bring her and the boys in here."
Rouge came into the room, joined by her robot friend, E-123 Omega as well as The Ultimate Lifeform, Shadow the Hedgehog.
The three were meekly followed by former S.T.A.R.S. medic, Rebecca Chambers as she quietly entered the room and sat by Leon.
"I can't believe I let you talk me into coming," Shadow said. "I am not a bodyguard."
"Oh Shadow, you promised me you'd help watch over my lovely Queen here," Rouge said. "Besides, we're trying to build some goodwill between Mobius and Earth, aren't we?"
"You can do that without me, not like I was born on Mobius," Shadow said.
"Well, orders are still orders," Rouge said. "You don't want to disappoint Commander Tower, do you?"
"Am I supposed to care?" Shadow asked.
"Or how about my dear friend, Topaz?" Rouge asked.
"Again, am I supposed to care?" Shadow asked.
"Oh come on, she's an old friend of mine!" Rouge said.
"Shadow, we need to prepare for Eggman, even if it means working with these lesser creatures," Omega said.
"...He better not be talking about us," Leon said.
"Oh, hey Leon," Rouge greeted. "How are the others?"
"Fine," Leon said. "Claire's visiting Sherry, Chris and Jill are back at the BSAA HQ, looking for Wesker. Carlos went to Interpol to work with Crimson Viper and Bruce-"
"Hold on," Chun-Li said, this immediately worrying Leon. "Since when is Viper part of this!?"
"Chun-Li, you know Wesker's threat is huge," Leon said. "He's got S.I.N.'s resources, he's got Shadaloo his back pocket, working with All for One and The League of Villains, he's got The Brotherhood by his side, there's evidence of him working with Mr. Negative, and those rumors involving Eggman, Doctor Doom and Lex Luthor aren't helping either. Same with Sephiroth and potentially Jin's father or grandfather. We need to be as united as possible."
Annoyed as she was, Chun-Li shrugged it off, "Fine."
"And that Shadow, is another reason why we're here," Rouge said. "Suppose Eggman strikes Earth again? You and I both know why that's a bad idea."
"...Fine," Shadow said.
Rouge turned to the girl she called her Queen, "Don't worry Your Highness, Shadow will do his part in keeping you safe."
"You don't need to be formal," Sally said. "And Shadow, thanks. I do appreciate it."
Shadow turned away in annoyance as he focused on the TV screen.
"Geez, and I thought Cloud was moody," Barrett said.
"I'd say Ryu too, but even he smiles," Chun-Li said.
"This guy is definitely Sonic's opposite," Leon said.
"That reminds me, is Sonic here too?" Shadow asked.
"He's back home..." Sally awkwardly turned aside. "With Amy."
"...Very well," Shadow said.
Dante stood beside Sunset, the man looking confused, "Talk about drama."
"Tell me about it," Sunset said.
Jin Kazama. His quirk, Devil Gene. A different brand of quirk DNA, this ability grants Jin demonic looking powers that can consume him if he is not careful.
Ling Xiaoyu. Her quirk, N/A. Ling's abilities are due to martial arts training, and has the natural strength to overcome any obstacle.
Barrett Wallace. His quirk, N/A. The most inhuman thing about him is the gatteling gun attached to his arm.
Rouge the Bat. Her quirk, Unnamed. Rouge simply has enhanced abilities that grand her flight and incredible speed.
E-123 Omega. His quirk, N/A. Omega is a robot with a tank like arsenal. He can do a lot of damage simply by himself.
Shadow the Hedgehog. His quirk, Being the Ultimate. Speed, Super Strength, Chaos Powers, this Hedgehog is among the strongest in the Universe.
Rebecca Chambers. Her quirk, none. She is a medic from the former police group, S.T.A.R.S. She has incredible knowledge of medicine and experience against B.O.W.s.
Dante. His quirk, Demon. A half-human, half-demon mix, Dante's strength and speed are far beyond a regular human. His magical weaponry make him a force to be reckoned with.
"Think we should have invited anyone else?" Goku asked.
"Who else are we gonna invite?" Rhodey asked. "You expecting Solid Snake to show up too?"
"We don't need anyone else. There's too many people here as it is," Bulma said.
"But what about everyone that came to the Culture Festival?" Goku asked. "Shouldn't they get to know these kids more? Isn't that why Spider-Man invited them?"
"Well he did hope for Cole to be here," Tony said. "And Amy Rose."
"Jill too," Leon interjected. "She wanted to come, but things came up."
"Cole's actually working with Chris Redfield right now," Chun-Li said. "That includes Jill being there."
"They do want updates," Leon said.
"I can verify that Amy wants to be kept in the loop as well," Sally said.
"And Mr. Fantastic," Rhodey said. "He'd be here too, just for his son's sake, but he's looking into the Doom thing."
"We'll keep them all updated," Tony said. "Quite frankly, we should keep Equestria's leaders updated too."
"I can send a quick message to Celestia," Sunset said.
"Don't you hate her?" Tony asked.
"I don't hate her, I just think she's a fool," Sunset said. "Completely different."
"We'll work the kinks out later," Bulma said as she gestured to the TV. "It looks like it's starting."
Back at UA, two more teachers were arriving, this immediately noticed by Mina. "Looks like All Might and Midnight are here together! Is it a date?"
"Sorry, but older men aren't my type," Midnight said, then turned to All Might. "So, which class would you put the odds on?"
"Hard to say," All Might replied. "Class A has gotten stronger after overcoming all their different crisis. The thing is that Class B have better grades. Likely due to being able to cover the curriculum since they don't deal with as many threats. Class A turns disasters into strength. Class B has a more traditional approach. This will be good."
"Tch, come on All Might," Johnny said. "You really think it will be that simple? Good grades are alright and all, but this is a hero school. Experience is what's really important. Class B has good students, and I'm not just saying that because of Franklin and Rina, but they definitely have amazing potential."
"But training and studying don't mean anything unless you can prove you learned something," Rainbow Dash said. "You learn by doing, that's how I always get better. I wouldn't be where I am if I wasted so much time in a classroom."
"I can verify that Rainbow Dash is more of an 'on the field' type of leaner," Twilight said. "But learning traditionally helps too of course."
"Twilight, if everything was 'traditional' for you, then Celestia never would have sent you to our town," Rainbow Dash said. "And you never would have met us."
"But she's right that basic studying can take you far," Gohan said.
"Only one way to find out," Gwen said.
"Alright, fighters, take your marks!" Vlad King declared.
"You sound very into this," Aizawa commented.
"Begin!" Vlad King ordered as a buzzer went off.
Johnny was seen leading his students through the facility while keeping a close eye out.
Rainbow Dash was right beside him, with a confident smirk on her face. "This place brings back memories." She turned her attention to Kaminari. "Don't you agree, Denki?"
"Not funny, I had to go through torturous training because of that exam," Kaminari said.
"Heh, yeah, I didn't mean to put you through that," Rainbow Dash admitted. "But I did need to push you. If you need the extra training, it's to keep you alive. If you thought I was bad, imagine dealing with an evil speedster. Those guys are no joke."
"You've gotten better since then," Johnny said. "Not just from Remedial Training, but also training with me and Dash."
"Yeah, I also got some pointers from The Electric Conduit," Kaminari said.
"Makes sense, Peter invited Cole so he could give you pointers," Rainbow Dash said. "I think Peter wanted him to come for the training, but he wasn't sure if he would be able to properly communicate with everyone here since he barely knows them. It's risky enough that Daredevil came, but he had to, for obvious reasons."
"Plus, Cole's got his own duties to tend to," Johnny said. "With so many of us here, he's on call just in case something big goes down."
"Right, you guys are looking for The League still," Kirishima said.
"Not just them," Johnny said. "We're trying to find Albert Wesker too. Along with his lacky Juri Han."
"There's also Mr. Negative," Rainbow Dash said. "Peter confirmed that a while ago, thanks to some detective work from Leon Kennedy."
"That Wesker guy creeps me out," Kaminari said.
"What about Mobius?" Kirishima asked. "I know that Spidey's been helping that planet out too."
"Yeah, they're still worried about a guy called Doctor Eggman," Rainbow Dash said. "I don't think he's coming to Earth, but he has tried conquering this world before."
"Guess we'll just have to be ready," Kirishima said.
"Correction, we'll be ready," Rainbow Dash said as she gestured to herself and Johnny. "Eggman looks like a goofball, and sounds like one too, but when he gets down to it, he's one of the most dangerous villains in the universe."
"He's been doing terrible things for years, and has nearly taken over Mobius on occasion," Johnny said. "Just leave Eggman to us, to Sonic, and The Freedom Fighters."
"Alright, if you say so," Kirishima said. "But I won't back down from a fight if it comes down to it."
"Figures as much," Rainbow Dash said. "Anyway, let's try to focus here."
"Let's try to keep an eye out for the other team," Tsuyu said as she pressed herself against the wall and turned invisible.
"Uh, Tsuyu, did you just disappear?" Johnny asked.
"Call me Tsu," The girl corrected. "And no, I just turned invisible. Not in the way your sister does, I use camouflage like a real frog."
"Didn't know frogs can do that," Johnny said as he used his powers to give himself thermal vision of Tsuyu's location. "Good thing I know how to work with someone who turns invisible."
Tsuyu crawled a little further ahead, "We have a basic idea of what this other team can do. But let's try to stick close together. There's safety in numbers after all."
"Smart move, but remember, if you're all together, you could get trapped together," Johnny warned. "Think this plan over carefully. Remember that only four of you need to be captured."
"Or one of us," Rainbow Dash said.
"Tch, like that's possible," Johnny said. "If anything Tsu can just use her powers to keep watch."
"Her camouflage is impressive, but she can still be seen from a certain angle," Shinso said.
"Honestly, I can just separate and let out a million volts of electricity," Kaminari said. "I've gotten better at control thanks to Cole."
"They might knock you out with a sneak attack," Kirishima said. "Doesn't help that one of our opponents has an electric quirk too. She might negate it."
"Yeah true," Kaminari said.
"It might be better to take down the most troublesome quirk user first," Shinso said.
"You get it, bro," Kaminari said.
"It's the obvious plan," Shinso said.
"How much do you know about the other team?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Who do you think the strongest one there is?"
"If I had to guess, probably Ibara Shiozaki," Tsuyu said. "Franklin gave me a rundown of everyone's abilities, Ibara's quirk is powerful enough to withstand the elements for the most part. He believes that had she and Kaminari fought at the Sports Festival, Kaminari would have lost really badly."
"Are you kidding me!?" Kaminari asked. "I could totally take her on in a fight!"
"I don't know, Fluttershy saw her training once, and she said that girl's amazing," Rainbow Dash said.
"When did Fluttershy say that?" Kirishima asked.
"You know that Forest Area that's on this campus? It's one of the training grounds," Rainbow Dash said.
"I remember," Koda interjected. "Jiro and I had to do battle against her. She was much scarier than she usually acts."
"Yeah, Fluttershy can be creepy when she wants to be," Rainbow Dash admitted. "Point is that Fluttershy goes there often to check on the plant life, and the animals there. Apparently that Ibara girl likes to train there as well, and she's really talented. And really sweet according to Fluttershy. I think she's very religious or something, her hero name was originally supposed to be Maria before she changed it to Vine."
"Sounds like she follows Christianity," Johnny said. "I bet she, Daredevil and Nightcrawler would have plenty to talk about."
"Point is that Ibara is strong, and you kids need to watch out for her," Rainbow Dash said.
"Okay, but one more question," Kaminari said. "Tsu, when did Franklin Richards tell you this?"
"He and I talk sometimes," Tsuyu said. "He told me all about his classmates and their quirks. I don't remember them all, but Ibara definitely stuck out to me. Plus we saw a little of it during the Sports Festival too, mostly the racing part."
"Do you talk alone?" Johnny asked. "As in, just the two of you? On midnight strolls along the UA Campus under the Moonlight in the Night Sky?"
Tsuyu's face began turning red, the girl grateful for her camouflage, "With all due respect sir, I'd rather focus on the training."
"Yeah sure," Johnny said.
"Anyway, I think that Kaminari would probably be a target given how powerful his quirk is," Tsuyu said. "They might be worried about Shinso's quirk too. I don't know if that Allison girl told them anything about him."
"I am not acquainted with Allision Dillion," Shinso said. "We merely have the commonality of being potential UA students, that is all."
"Still, I really need you guys to keep me safe!" Kaminari said
"Dude, don't talk like that, you sound like a wuss," Johnny scolded. "No student of mine will sound like a wuss."
"Hurtful man," Kaminari said.
"Hey, we got this," Kirishima said. "We can help Kaminari and Shinso do what they gotta do."
"Alright, first let's find Shiozaki," Shinso said. "We'll work from there."
"Go my friends, and find Ibara Shiozaki," Koda said as he sent some birds away.
"It's so cool that you and Fluttershy have the same quirk," Rainbow Dash said. "One of Peter's old girlfriends had a quirk like that too."
"An old girlfriend?" Tsuyu asked. "Wait, this isn't related to Black Cat, is it?"
"Peter and Black Cat weren't boyfriend and girlfriend," Johnny said. "They just got together to...well, you know. Bow chika wow-wow."
"Dang, really?" Kaminari asked. "Spidey's got game!"
"Johnny, that never happened," Rainbow Dash said.
"You don't know that," Johnny said.
"Anyway, the girl's name is Chat, she can talk to animals," Rainbow Dash said. "And Peter did have an interesting dating life before making things official with Twilight."
"He's very handsome, so I wouldn't be surprised," Tsuyu said.
Soon enough, the birds returned and explained the situation to Koda. "Shiozaki's to our left, alone. She's using her vines to feel out the surroundings as she heads this way."
"Alone huh? They might have split up," Rainbow Dash said. "Koji, if you can, try to see if those birds can find Iceman. But be careful, he might know what your quirk can do."
"Yes ma'am," Koda spoke to the birds. "Go find Iceman my feathery friends."
As Koda sent the birds away, Rainbow Dash turned to the boy, "Great work, but please don't call me 'ma'am', it makes me sound old. Just call me Dash."
"Well we know where Shiozaki is," Kaminari said. "Should we get her?"
"It feels wrong to go after a girl that's by herself, but we gotta stop her," Kirishima said.
"Right let's..." Johnny heard a crash and looked ahead. "Watch out!"
Jurota tackled down both Tsuyu and Kirishima, "MEET MY ROARING RAGE!"
Kirishima and Tsuyu were knocked into a pair of pipes, briefly injuring the both of them.
"Both of them!? That's not good!" Kaminari asked.
Jurota sinisterly glared at the others, "We knew you guys would have Koda search for us, and we planned accordingly! Plus we also knew that Franklin Richards may have spoken to Class A about our abilities. Using Shiozaki as a decoy allowed me the chance to move through the shadows to find you! If we let your team prepare, then you could have potentially gotten us with a shock attack, so we went for a direct approach! So I sniffed you out with my acute sense of smell!"
Jurota Shishida. His quirk, Beast. His feral mode increases his strength, hearing, sight and ability to sniff things out. He is also prone to acting berserk.
"Monologuing are you? And an evil laugh? You really are playing the villain role," Johnny readied some fire. "Still, bad move coming here when I'm around. Nerfed or not, I have more than enough power to-"
Suddenly Johnny's hand was frozen, taking him and Rainbow Dash by surprise.
"Bobby's here! We gotta-!" Rainbow Dash's head was frozen by the ice as well.
"Crap! Where is he!?" Kaminari asked in worry as he frantically looked around.
"Up here!" Bobby said from a nearby roof. "You think I'd send these boys here alone!?"
"Boys!?" Johnny asked.
"We got you cornered now, neither fire and electricity won't do you much here," came a voice as Rainbow Dash freed her head from the ice. Tsuburaba revealed himself to be on Jurota's back. "I trained my quirk and got a new move! Air Prison!"
Tsburaba used his powers to trap Koda in an air shield. He then used it on Rainbow Dash just as she tried to move.
"This solitary cell won't allow any sound in!" Tsuburaba said as Shinso adjusted his mask.
Johnny freed his hand from the ice and was about to save Rainbow Dash when Bobby blasted him again.
"Nice try bro! You ain't beating my squad!" Bobby boasted.
"Good, now take them down Shishida!" Came Tsuburaba voice. Curiously, he wasn't the one who said anything.
"Consider this our early victory!" Jurota shouted, ready to strike.
"Crap! I am so dead!" Kaminari shouted in worry. Suddenly Jurota stopped moving.
"Yo! Beast Junior! What's up!?" Bobby asked. "Why'd he stop moving!?"
"I don't know, it sounded like Shinso spoke with my voice!" Tsuburaba said.
"He did what!?" Bobby asked in disbelief.
This was caught by everyone else present at the stands.
"Whoa...what is that mask?" Izuku asked in disbelief.
"Vocal modulator..." Shinso spoke in Aizawa's voice. "Vocal chords!"
