Chapter Text

Rosemary Lane Jackson never knew her father. According to their mother he got lost at sea when Percy was one closer to two and her mother didn’t even know she was pregnant again. She didn’t ask anymore questions. Rosemary was always considered an odd child by her teachers. She laughed and smiled but never cried, she played and ran around. But never complained about taking naps or going to bed.
It certainly didn’t help the fact that she had albinism.

The sun was dipping low in the sky as she looked out of her window. Percy and her mother went to the cabin by the sea a few days ago. They had offered to take her as well but she declined. The truth was she had had enough of the ocean and water for a lifetime. You see Rosemary had a secret. This wasn’t her first life. In her past life she was an oceanid in Teyvat, then she was human, then.. she gripped her pen tighter. She was a god. She had always wanted to be human in her past life. Now she was, she truly couldn’t be happier.

Smelly Gabe as Percy called their stepfather. Gauffad in the other room shouting something about this or about that. He was a drunkard and a gambler. Worst of all he called her a freak, witch, and something or other. Rosemary didn’t particularly care. So what if she had albinism? She could look like a hag and she wouldn’t care. As long as she was human all her hopes and dreams were fulfilled.

She turns back to her homework. The words were still swimming. Dyslexia like her brother. She watched the words swim on the page. It was beautiful, proof she was imperfect. She fiddled with her hair for a moment before setting the homework down. She gets up and walks out of the room. Her stepfather yelled at her in his slurred speech.

“Hey! Little freak come’n pick up an hand” she ignored him as easily as she breathed, she walks to the fridge and grabs one of the cheese sticks. Her stepfather refuses to cook so more often then not this is what she eats when her mother is too busy to cook. One for breakfast, one for lunch, one for dinner. She didn’t bother cooking for her stepfather. She didn’t care about him. Her mother was kind as was her brother. They both deserved to be away from him for a little.

She walks back to her and Percy’s room. It was small barely enough room for the both of them. But it was enough. She looks towards the window. A car pulled into the parking lot. Her mother’s. She wasn’t supposed to be back yet. But that didn’t matter right now she needed to clean.

She walked into the living room to clean up the beer bottles. She had managed to clean four before her mother arrived. She was sweating and fearful. Terrified even.
Rosemary paused what she was doing and ran to her.

“Hello mom! Is Percy with-“ she couldn’t even finish her sentence before she was picked up and held tight. Her mother turned and almost bolted down the steps.
Rosemary couldn’t figure out why.

What was wrong. Why was her mother so frantic, she was holding Rosemary so tight against her. Had something happen to Percy? Was he in the hospital? She didn’t know. She put her hand arms around her mothers neck. An attempt to consol her. Her mother was strong to carry her like this. Or maybe she should be eating more the three cheese sticks a day.

The night breeze hit her suddenly, but her mother didn't stop. Didn’t stop till she was in the car then turned and almost jumped into the driver seat.

She looked to her right where Percy was sitting, nervous and confused. In the front passenger seat was a boy with curly hair. She didn’t recognize him. Percy turned to her and asked.

“Rose got any clue what’s going on?”

Rosemary just shrugged. “No, at first I thought mom decided to finally leave stepfather. But that doesn’t explain why there’s a stranger in the car.”

“Who? Oh right Grover you've never met him in person have you?”

Rosemary racked her mind for the name Grover for a minute. She tended to forget things that she felt weren’t important.

“Your… friend Grover?… the one from school?” She finally said.

“Yes. That grover.”

“Can you please stop talking about me like I’m not here?”

She looks closer at the boy.

“You have an interesting name Grover, sounds more like a last name then a first name”

“…uh.. yeah I guess?”

“I have an interesting name too, Rosemary sounds old fashioned and out of place. So everyone just calls me Rose.” She turned to her brother.
“Do you know where we’re going?”

“A summer camp apparently”

“I don’t think summer camp would be good for me. If I’m out in the sun for more than thirty minutes I’ll burn.“

“That’s a good point you make. Shout that to mom and maybe she’ll answer my questions.”

“Hey mom! I don’t think summer camp would be good for me!-“

“I didn’t mean literally Rose, I really need to teach you sarcasm”

“And I already heard you the first time so there’s no need for shouting” mother said in a very loud tone.

“Oh. Okay.”

And that’s all the motivation for that story that I have thank you for reading this chapter.

Chapter Text

Izuku wanted to cry. This was nothing new of course, what with everything he endured from his classmates on a day to day basis. Still something in him broke at hearing Kacchan words.

“Take a swan dive of the roof of the building and pray you’ll be born with a quirk in your next life.

The minute those words left Kac- no. It was Bakugo now wasn’t it? It always had been. The only time Kacchan was truly Kacchan was before his quirk came in. Before Izuku’s hadn’t. The realization was like a slap on the face. Was Bakugo the one that would sometimes leave spider lilies on his desk? The world was suddenly too constricting, too dark, too lifeless. Izuku wanted to leave. Whether it was the room or this life he had no clue.

He walks out of the classroom. Walking out of the school he spotted his notebook in the koi pond. He spent so much time on it. The pages were already being nibbled on by the fish. He averted his gaze. What does it matter now anyway? Still His mom had payed good money for that notebook, it wouldn’t be right to let it drown. He walks over to the koi pond and reaches into the water. It was cool and soothing A contrast to his emotions. He reaches deeper allowing his hand to lock on to the notebook. He pulls it out of the water, having to shake of a koi fish as he did so. He looked it over, it was scorched and soggy. He could deal with the burn marks but he hope that with the heat from the days temperature that it dries soon.

He had to pass an alleyway to get home, usually he was jumpy and nervous his eyes darting every which way. Searching for danger. But now he felt so defeated he didn’t care to. Perhaps this was why he didn’t notice the villan. Their slimy body manifested in front of him.

“Hey kid! I’m going to need to borrow your body real quick!” And suddenly slime filled all of his senses. It was suffocating. He was suffocating. He struggled and kicked but that did nothing. With horror Izuku realized this was how he was going to die. He thought of Bakugo, the words he had said earlier. Then he thought of Kacchan. His best friend. How they would play in the sandbox talking about heroes and villains, how they would run around the playground chasing each other laughing wildly. He had never thought too much about those memories but know he marveled at the childish innocence, at the way they laughed. Chirping like the freest of birds. He was on the slide Kacchan was below him yelling at him to come on already, saying that he wouldn’t let Izuku get hurt. He was playing heroes and villains, he was the hero and Kacchan was the villain. He sneaks up from behind before tackling him, making them both erupt in giggles. The memories were held together by one common thing. Freedom.

Distantly he sees a large glow and moments laters he hears the distinct sound of.

“I AM HERE!” All Might punched the slime villain allowing Izuku to breathe. Izuku dizzy and out of breath. Dark spots blot his vision. He wants to watch the fight, but he can barely stand as it is. He breathes in and out frantically. After several minutes he’s able to get his breathing under control. He looks around frantically for the slime villain only to realize he had already been captured in a glass bottle by All Might. All Might who was currently standing above him handing him a small glowing object.

“here I believe you dropped this! Now if you excuse me I must be heading of!” All Might dropped the object into his hands. Izuku wanted to protest that it wasn’t his, but his breath caught in his throat. When he looked down at the object in his hands, the way it glowed in time to his own heartbeat. He knew it was a lie. He held the object tight to his chest. Whatever this object was, it was his wholeheartedly, and it was important. He looked up, only to realize that all might was already gone. In a daze he picks up his notebook which was lying on the ground and heads home.

Chapter 3: Forging Truth

Summary:

Mei Hatsume Centeric.

What if Mei Hatsume was a descendant of Haganezuka
Fandoms,

Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia.

Chapter Text

Mei Hatsume was a perfectly normal girl with perfect normal parents… NOT! You see, the Hatsume family had a secret well they had a lot of secrets. What secrets might the family that engineers support items for a living have? Glad you asked. Historical secrets that would flip the government on its head. Tales that would make the most stubborn heroes second guess their decision. Details on how to forge the strongest of swords. Knowledge on how their ancestors worked and blended metal to form the sharpest edge.

Because you see, Mei Hatsume’s mother's maiden name was Haganezuka. While a secret they were proud of this fact. Their family passed this knowledge from parent to child over and over again. They preserved the techniques for hundreds of thousands of years. Mei Hatsume was no different. She lived and breathed in the forge, even then when not in the forge she often tinkered with gadgets and gears. Everywhere she went she carried the scent of oil and iron.

She was not going to let her ancestors down. People of this age more than ever relied solely on raw strength alone. Fools all of them. There are weapons and items that are crafted with care, with soul, body, and spirit. Those weapons can defend the weak, those items can save their lives. Yet no one with any presence uses them. Fools.

So what was Mei doing in front of a building full of fools and crafters? Proving all those damn fools wrong of course! She bounds up the steps, determination coursing through her veins.

The smile on her face was electric as she handed in her identification. It remains on her face as she enters the examination hall. Which causes her to let out a sigh. She had twenty or so minutes until the exam would start.

Eh I wrote this two nights ago. Not the best. I like the concept but the execution is just meh.

Chapter 4: The Star Twins of Akivilli

Summary:

Essentially what happened to Aether when he first woke up after the fight with the unknown god.
Includes my personal theories and head cannons :)

Fandoms for this chapter: Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail.

Chapter Text

Everything is connected.
To trailblaze is simply to remind everyone of that fact.
To trailblaze it to leave a trail of reminders for others to follow.
To trailblaze is to guide others to those reminders.

Aether knew that more then he knew his own heart. He could talk all about what trailblazing is but couldn’t explain his own emotions. It was funny in a way. However, in the end it was nothing more then the truth. That understanding of trailblazing had been carved into his very soul. It was the same for Lumine.

That was only one of the ways they were connected. Perhaps that is why when his power was taken. When his wings were stolen. He cried in relief when that understanding remained. Then when he realized that he couldn’t fly, and probably wouldn’t until he defeated the unknown god which could take centuries. He hugged himself tight and shivered. No matter how much is lost the will to trailblaze will never falter. The words rang true in his heart. He stood up.

When they had first arrived on this world he and Lumine both fell asleep. They had traveled far to find this planet and as ‘THEY’ had once said. “Even stars need their rest.” Lumine had waken up first. How long after they’d fallen asleep they had no idea. Time was always a fickle thing for the two stars. After a certain amount of time Aether had waken up as well. Probably due to the fact that Lumine was shaking his body so hard he thought he could be stuck shaking like that for a millena. His first view of this world was a blood red sky. He had taken a shaky inhale that was thick in his throat. The amount of memoria that stuck to the planet was inane. Lumine had said they needed to leave and so they tried. Unfortunately they were stopped by a certain unknown god. Whoever that god was they had the strength of an emanator at the very least. That had caught the twins off guard; most single world divine beings don’t have that kind of power. That caused them to make a mistake and in a battle against someone with the strength of an emanator a single mistake could cost the, their lives. Unfortunately that god wasn’t so kind. To be separated from his twin was a fate worse then death.

His body screamed at him to go find Lumine. But he couldn’t. Not until he had a basic understanding of this world at least. For now he needed food. He looked around the beach. There were some sticks lying around near the edge of the trees. He might be able to find some seaweed to make a rod later down the line, for now his sword would do. However he would also need to make a fire. He walked down the line of trees picking up sticks. He missed Lumine even more. She was always the stronger of the two. He shook his head. Food first, then knowledge, then Lumine. Well technically searching for knowledge was the same as searching for Lumine because he was searching for knowledge so he could find Lumine. That made it Food first, then Lumine, which in turn made Aether happier. He was going to find Lumine, even if it cost him his life. For now however, food.

I love this concept, this takes place before Aether meets Paimon when he’s just waking up if anyone’s curious.

Chapter 5: They Say Three Times A Charm, But All I Have known Is Sorrow

Summary:

Me writing an Oc into my childhood book series.

Chapter Text

For most people an alarm clock was what they would wake up to, this was not the case for Dawn Bailey. She was never a good sleeper, she would wake up to the slightest of sounds and would often have nightmares. When she was younger she would often go to her parents room in the middle of the night. This was not the case anymore, not since her father has passed away. Her mother didn’t need to deal with anymore burdens then she already had. Perhaps this was another reason why she had been roomed with Alex.

She had just woken up scare of breath due to a nightmare. Alex was already shifting under the covers.(they had to share a bed due to money problems) Over the past year Alex had learned to listen for Dawn’s breathing in her sleep. Something Dawn appreciated just as much as she hated. She wanted her sister to sleep peacefully without worrying about her.

As the youngest of the Bailey family Dawn would had been worried for regardless of her personality, but her personality had made it so much worse. She was quiet she always had been, however it had gotten worse over the past year. She couldn’t remember the last time she smiled, had it been a week? Maybe two? She didn’t know. Dawn never understood her own emotions much, others however were a different story entirely. She understood when her family was sad, when they were angry. She would catalog these things and figure out the reason. She was good in school but she didn’t really try. Not like Alex did at least.

Dawn knew she was smart. She had known ever since one day in second grade she scored an A+ in 5 minutes. Her teacher had looked at her stunned then. When she told her family their reactions were along the lines of: “Wow Dawn! That’s amazing! You did such a good job. You’re so smart!” She had looked up from her dinner and asked one simple question. “Why does that make me smart?” She had been answered with: “Not everyone can do that you know!” and “cause it not easy to do.”
of those things were the answers she wanted. So after dinner she ran straight upstairs and into her room. Her father followed her up. She remembered him trying to comfort her. Saying stuff like. “You’re not different you’re just special, People aren’t dumb they just don’t learn as fast.” If Dawn was being honest she loved her parents, she had loved her father so much. While he was good at comforting Alex and Connor. She was much different. She wanted someone to understand her. Understand her without needing to say anything. The chances of that are slim though so that’ll probably never happen.

She was snapped out of her day dreaming by Alex.

“So what was this one about?” She asked sleepily.

“Dad’s story.”

Alex furrowed her brow. ”Which one? I don’t remember any of them being particularly scary.”

“The little boy in the walking fish.” It was a repeat nightmare. Forced to watch on as the little boy drowned time and time again, not unlike the fish itself.

“Oh… you know I actually read a book about nightmares and their meanings. Apparently when someone has a dream about their teeth falling out it means they’re anxious about something.”

“Was there anything in there about seeing people die?” Alex paused. After a moment of contemplation she shook her head. “Not anything close to your situation, unless you’re secretly a war veteran.”

“We both know that’s impossible.”

“Yeah… just trying to lighten up the mood.”

“… you know Connor wants to be like you as well.”

“…… you’re way too smart for a ten year old.”

Dawn averted her gaze.

“Seriously you need to take an IQ test or something.”

“… what time is it?”

Alex turned towards the alarm clock. “3:15. Why do you ask?”

“Happy birthday.”

“Oh..”

“Come on I want to show you something.”

And that’s a wrap folks!

Chapter 6: Hello.

Summary:

Hi sorry it’s been so long been struggling with motivation and mental health stuff.
Fandoms: Original Work

Chapter Text

Hello! My name is Moonstone. Recently M.E.(for some unexplainable reason) has decided to make us write our thoughts. None of us can explain why. Even Nox is unsure what’s gotten into them… anyway! I suppose I should properly introduce myself shouldn’t I?

M.E. Whom you know as the ‘Author’ created me in Gacha Online(yes the Roblox one) Many years ago. During that time they have tried to craft a carefully curated backstory for me. I am the Main Oc after all. I’m the one they see themselves most as. Or if nothing else I’m the one who is most likely to be their profile picture.

There were many iterations of me. In one draft I was a guardian of all the dimensions(fandoms) and was trying to save them all from a demon who killed my brother. In another I was simply M.E. Themselves. If M.E. and I were close enough to each other I wouldn’t doubt that we would laugh about that.

In any case even the backstory M.E. decided on was simple. I don’t have a backstory. I don’t have a family. I was simply created by me for the sole purpose of being the absolute embodiment of everything M.E. has ever wanted to be.

…

After M.E. was satisfied with that they created their own vessel. I may not be able to describe that to you (as it currently looks the exact same as M.E. in real life and they would not approve of me sharing that information) I can certainly describe myself. Perhaps at a later date. M.E. said we had to write 200 words minimum and I have no desire to go over that. See you another time!
