Not in their brightly colored vacation clothes, not with their usual goofy smiles or shy glances or loud laughs. They were dressed in practical, dark attire that seemed to absorb the moonlight rather than reflect it. And their faces…
No longer were they the clingy babies who cried if their favorite hyung left the room, the introverts who hid behind hoodies, the loud ones who filled silence with noise, or the goofy ones who tripped over their own feet. These were predators. Still terrifyingly young, yes, but with eyes that held a depth of cold understanding and sharp intelligence the parents had never seen before. The shift was so complete, so horrifying, it felt like looking at strangers wearing their children’s faces.
