Chapter Text
Builder was getting used to this repeat of matches, constantly being thrown into a round whenever this so-called ‘spectre’ may please ; making them suffer. As well as this eternal suffering, he’d also been placed with a bunch of other randos from various parts of robloxia. As an admin, he was very well loved by the cast of robloxians and a lot of the time the person they came to when in need of any assistance, being showered with heavy love and praise.Though he wasn't the only admin stuck here (gladly).
Shedletsky (formerly known as the Telamon) happened to be here too, way before him in fact. He’d wanted to walk up to Shed and talk with them as if it were the old times ; something though was stopping him.
Every moment, every time Builder ended up in the presence of Shed, his heart leaped out, leaving Builder to clutch onto his stomach tight. At first, he’d shake off the feeling, telling himself it was only a simple bug. But days turned to presumed weeks, maybe months even (though who knew?) and yet it hasn’t left. He couldn't make out the feeling. Was it nervousness? Tension? Maybe Shed also felt that way & he somehow felt it? No…that’s idiotic.
Then what could it be ?
But he didn’t have time for those questions, not when he’s been repeatedly thrown into these rounds that had seemed to last forever. Builder had better things to focus on them some dumb feelings.
Next thing he knew, he found himself slumping in a slug-like fashion onto the bed , with the bed being as stiff as a boulder. He’d just finished a round with a killer that people around presumed to be 007’s son, c00lkid. He was pretty much a walk in the park, though the others, especially 007, worried that this only meant he was going to grow stronger.
As Builder pondered more about such topics : the killers, their abilities , and more , his head began hurting again. He winces at the pain quietly, though no one was in the room. He had to cover it, he couldn’t show his weak side. The others needed his strong side, they need as much help and assistance as they can get from him.
Hide it…
Hide….
“Hey…Builder?” A voice came from outside, hearty yet soft.
Builder squirmed a bit by the sudden bang. He walks over to the door. “Shed. Is that you?” He asks.
“Who else Builder?” Shed throws out a quick smirk, being able to hear once again Builders voice properly.
He chuckles as he opens the door, “Come on in then, you’re welcome to lay on the bed. Though it’s not that comfortable.” He comments, as if they’ve haven’t at all been separated.
Shed sat down by the bed regardless of what he said, “Been some time hasn’t it?”
“Yeah..”
“How are ya holding up?” Shed asked.
“Well enough to survive out there.” “In…whatever it is.”
Shed sighs. This was quite unexpected for all of them, ; it’s no surprise he replied to that so briefly.
“I wanted to come talk to you quickly only about a few things, just to get it out the way before the round starts. Is that fine with you?”
Builders contemplates what Shed would possibly have to talk with him about (such a curious man he is) but his head aches again.
Seriously, what was up with him today?
Shed happened to have noticed Builder clutching onto his head, pushing away his orange Builder hat to grab his hair and grab it with a string clutch.
“Builder..you okay there?” Shed spoke more quietly this time.
“Y-yeah.” Builder manages to speak just a bit.
“I’m not trusting that, that’s why I asked.” They grinned, trying to lighten the mood for him. “If you need some water I can go fetch some, our admin powers don’t work here so I’ll make sure to be-“
“Nah nah,” he waves him off,”I’m fine, really, if I just ignore it then it will go away.” He takes his hand off his hair and got back to his causal, straight, and quite professional, posture (Of course, being the creator of Robloxia means you do have to remain quite formal, so he’s just gotten used to this posture) .
“Moving on..” Shed didn’t want to proceed on with Builderman’s worrying headaches , deciding to save that talk for another time.”First question I would like to add, have you seen…them?” Shed’s tone shifts quickly to a serious one once he mentions ‘them’
Builder’s mind immediately clicked and instantly knew what they’d meant, lowering their head towards the floor with a guilty look.
“Y..yeah. I’d seen them alright.”
(If you hadn’t guessed by now, It’s John Doe and 1x)
“Listen, I know it’s kind of tough seeing them again, but they aren’t the same anymore. They’re not what they used to be before. Their minds, now corrupted, infected and destroyed, turning into mindless beasts killing us all for some unknown reasons. You have to get over it. This was not all your fault, It was just a simple mistake.”
It was just a simple mistake
Builder allowed that replay in his mind for a moment.
A simple mistake…
Simple mistake….
A mistake…
A big mistake .
Shed sighs. They had been with Builder long enough to be able to read him like a book ; and inferred from his dead look that he was not taking in the mistake part.
“Even if you don’t believe me, just know that you’re not alone on this, and that you have me.”
Hah…Buider felt strange. He was usually the one to comfort Shed, but suddenly here it’s the other way around. It made his heart, as strong as steel, somehow melt and twist around in a ‘wow this can’t be happening’ way.Made him feel..special
“T..thanks.” He says with a smile. That’s all he could say then. “What was the o-other question?”
Shed then chuckles, with this one having that sprinkle of fake into it.
“I forgot since I got too caught up with your headache. Maybe another time if I remember.” Shed then pulled out a chicken and began eating it like some beast ( he only ate like that if he was really hungry).
“Well..it’s probably best I head out now. Get some rest Builder, probably will help with the headache.” Shed says, leaping off the bed and making their way to the door.
”Make sure to call me if you ever need anything. Got that?” Shed wanted to make sure that Builder knew he had Shedletsky with him, given that they were stuck here basically forever now.
Builder nods, too tired to say a word and waves him off.
Shed gives one last confronting glance before making his way out of the room.
“Everything is going to be alright Builder, I’ll make sure of it.”
