Chapter Text

Read chapter 7 first please.

“Hey Erwin- I’m sorry about the lunch thing on Monday. I just don’t want to look like a charity case. I don’t have the money to buy lunch at school or get restaurant food, so I have to save the money for groceries. I basically only eat frozen food.” Levi admitted on the pairs walk to AP biology. Erwin ruffled Levi’s hair, smiling. “It’s ok Levi, I don’t see you as a charity case. I just want you to eat. No one goes hungry around me!” Levi nodded, hiding a slight smile. As they arrived and took their seats next to each other, they were greeted with a packet on their desks. “It’s the first fucking week of school dude- we haven’t even learned anything!” “Jesus Christ, what is happening in this class. God damn it, it’s a review.” Both boys groaned as they flipped through it. “I absolutely aced this class freshman year, but now I’m clueless. What does ‘what three letters does an enzyme end with? What three letters does a sugar end with?’ I don’t know!” Erwin said, pointing at the question. “OSE for the first one, ASE for the second.” Levi said, already finished with the first page. “What? Why the hell did you groan when you saw the review packet but you know all the answers?” Erwin said, teasing Levi. “Biology was easy for me. I just have it all memorized, I skipped algebra 2 and geometry, I’m in college level calculus.” He said, overly casual. Erwin stared at him, blinking. “You’re telling me that you go to the college for your calculus classes?” “I don’t go to the college in person, I do it online.” “YOU DON’T EVEN GO TO THE LECTURES?” “Jeez, why are you yelling? But yes, I do it all online. No lectures, no notes. Math and science come easily to me. I’m in AP Bio and AP Chem right now, and I’m also in AP World History, AP Hug, and AP Computer Science.” He said, writing his name on the paper and handing it to the astonished teacher. “How the hell are you doing that much, dude?” Erwin said, still blinking, confused. “I don’t know- I guess I just like the challenge.” He said, smirking. Erwin didn’t remember anything from the first page, so he begged Levi for help. Levi leaned in to look at the questions, pushed against Erwin’s shoulder. Erwin could hear Levi’s breathing, as well as the sweet and spicy scent he carried. Levi helped Erwin finish the packet, handing it to the teacher. Erwin leaned over to whisper in Levi’s ear before he went back to his own seat- “You smell nice- I could also listen to you talk all day.” He said in a slightly suggestive tone. Levi turned to face him, his nose accidentally grazing Erwin’s. He pushed on Erwin’s forehead, eyes narrowed.
“Stop being handsy with each other boys; you can be boyfriends outside of my class but this class will purely be education. Get on task, guys.” The teacher said, pushing on his glasses and opening up his lesson plans binder. Both boys turned red, pulling away from each other. “It’s not like that sir!” Erwin said, panicked. “Mhm- definitely believable. It’s Friday, guys. You have all weekend to do whatever you want.” Mr. Steven’s said, resting his chin on his palm. “Mr. Steven’s, we swear. We SWEAR.” Levi said, cheeks still flushed from embarrassment and whatever the hell just happened with the whispering. Mr. Steven’s shooed them away, sighing. Levi was practically shaking from the embarrassment while Erwin stared into space. “Erwin.. what did you just say to me?” Levi said, slowly turning towards Erwin. Erwin turned, smirking. “The truth.” He shrugged. Levi waved him off, getting out a piece of paper. He ripped it out of the notebook, folded it, and gave it to Erwin.
‘Follow my lead.”
