It had been some time and no word from either Assam nor Ryugi. Rikuo wasn’t sure how to feel, on one hand he was happy he didn’t have to face either of them but he still wanted to hear from at least one of them.
THUD!!
All eyes turned to see Hoeru passed out on the stairs holding his stomach. An ambulance was quickly called and everyone headed to the hospital. Turns out Hoeru just drank some bad milk but they still had to stay to watch over him. The alarm went off signaling that the doctors were making their rounds. Rikuo and the others, minus Hoeru, all lined up outside the hallway. The doctors made their ways down the hall, nurses making sure patients were out of the way and properly bowing as the group walked by. Rikuo looked over at the group and saw a very familiar looking face, it was Ryugi! There was no mistaking the broad shoulders, the slicked back dark hair, the dark brown eyes that could either make you in the knees or feel like all hell broke loose. A pang was felt in the lion’s heart, how long had he been here? And why didn’t he say anything? Sumino and Kinji went over to try to talk to him but The former tyranno didn’t seem to want to talk and were both pushed aside. Rikuo watched as Ryugi walked by, he caught himself trying to reach out and take his hand, but he stopped himself. What made it worse was when he tried to look at him, Ryugi’s gaze was cold and distant like they were total strangers. The unicorn quickly pulled Rikuo back into Hoeru’s room,
“Whats the matter with you, don’t just stand there and do nothing.”
Rikuo wanted to say something but found himself lost for words. Ryugi had never been that cold to him. He was usually very warm and protective.
“Who would have thought we’d end up in the Bakugami family hospital of all places.”
The eagle’s words only slightly clicked in Rikuo’s head, of course Ryugi mentioned how much he hated his family and how they never respected him as an individual, they only saw him as a puppet. First Assam disappears after one night, and now it seems Ryugi won’t ever come back.

Ryugi sat huddled up with the rest of the doctors, turns out a No 1 took over the hospital and were now running amuck. He couldn’t help but think back to a moment ago when he saw his former team mates, and Rikuo. When he passed by the lion something about him seemed different, did he already have a new mate? Guess he shouldn’t be surprised if he did, numerous alphas and even some betas were drawn to the lion, not just because he was an idol, but because Rikuo liked making those around him happy and he loved doing that just by his scent alone. Its what made it so easy for him to meet new people and connect with them. One of the many things that Ryugi loved about him.
Loud screams broke his train of thought as he looked up to two of his former team mates plowing through the group of Ai that had been surrounding them. He stood up, his arm being quickly grabbed by Hoeru,
“Come on, the No 1 challenged us to a battle, and we need a doctor to defeat it.”
Ryugi pulled his arm away from the wolf’s,
“I can’t help you,”
Hoeru glared at him a growl in his voice,
“Can’t or won’t?”
“I’m not a Gozyuger anymore,this no longer concerns me.”
A dark voice spread threw out the hall way, it was voice Rikuo was very familiar with and it still sent a chill down his spine,
“Why don’t all of you do us a favor and stop living?”
The group looked over to see Rei strutting his way down the hall, looking around the place as if he had just returned to high school,
“This place hasn’t changed much since I was last here. Then again it has been a while since I ast performed any surgery.” He locked eyes with Rikuo, a smirk spreading across his lips,
“Don’t worry Rikuo, I haven’t forgotten about us.”
A low growl escaped Rikuo’s lips, even Hoeru could feel the lion’s scent darkening, Rei was the last person any of them wanted to deal with. Of course that would give him the perfect reason to show up, Rei lifted his hand showing off his ring,
“Oh come now, is that any way to greet your new alpha.”
Rikuo’s blood ran cold, what did he mean by that? That’s when he herd it, the very word that activates the rings,
“Engage!”
The lion was lost for words, he was now staring at who he knew to be was Rei…..as Gozyutyranno,
“What happened to Assam?”
Rei let out a cold chuckle as he once again lifted his ring, giving it a small tap,
“He’s right here, didn’t put up much of a fight i’m afraid, he seemed…..heartbroken”
Rikuo felt his entire body go numb, No, that can’t be true! No he can’t be dead….
“Don’t look so sad Rikuo, you still have me, and I will take good care of you from now on.” he glanced over at Ryugi then back to the now frozen Rikuo. “After all, I don’t think he’s going to want you back, not after you were with someone else. You couldn’t even wait one day could you? You always did like attention.”
Rei started walking closer to the lion, the smell of cloves and nutmeg filled Rikuo’s nose. He knew he had to do something but for some reason his body wasn’t listening.
“Don’t be so shy, at least we have history together, I’m not a complete stranger.”
Rei was quickly knocked away by Hoeru, who had already transformed into Gozyuwolf. The formal idol was finally able to shake himself out of whatever trance he was in and join in as Gozyuleon. The No 1 finally showed with the rest of the team, attacking all them with poisonous needles. Rei identified the person inside the No 1 as Ryugi’s father, this seemed to be a tipping point for the former tyranno, he was finally able to find his true self and reclaim the tyranno ring, much to Rei’s chagrin,
“This isn’t over, I will get what is mine!”
