Summary
The earth is lacking in options, and few people know it as well as Cecil Stedman. As reality closes in, it becomes apparent to him that his job is fooling people into thinking they are safe more so than protecting them. That may change when a strange opportunity presents itself. In the form of a superhuman teenager with questionable tastes in men.

On hiatus due to life events (Fanfic writers curse has caught me). Will be back around the 31st of October. In the meantime, I have gotten a beta reader who is helping me adjust flow, details, and some minor story edits that may have been missed along the way. I mean Cecil is normally laid back, unaffected guy even when his life is threatened that it's hard to tell if he cares about others (side eyeing Donald here lol) but haven't you noticed how he treats Debbie?

He's very open with her, willing to support her, takes very good care of her and is such a shoulder she can rest on. Even hugging her in times of her personal traumas.
Like ooofff, these two need to get laid so bad at this point hehehe -
