神会在盐沼里种蔬菜吗？祂当然会。因为莴苣、南瓜和苜蓿菜从夏尔进口过来会花掉每磅十六沙尼，进口霍比特人种的烟草将会更多。小麦、大麦和马油从洛汗运过来会花掉每磅四十到四十六卡斯塔尔，这还是在和伊奥梅尔、伊奥温兄妹商量好了的前提下——而战后的伊希利恩堆积着大量草木灰。几个倒霉的南方人留下来的水蔗草和碱茅让一切都变得有迹可循，水蔗草可以喂马，也可以喂羊，耐盐植物只有一年生，它们可以烧火，草木灰将成为新的基土。更别提原生的盐角草和灯盏花快要把滩涂挤爆了，所有活下来的生灵们，何乐而不为呢？

Éowyn works as a healer in Minas Tirith in the years between the end of the War and her and Faramir’s move to Ithillien. She enjoys the work, though it is so different than the life she had expected growing up that sometimes is bears contemplation. Meanwhile, Arwen is pregnant with her third child, and is having a rather ill-wrought time of it. Her eldest daughter— the six-year-old Princess Gilraen— follows Éowyn about the Houses of Healing when her mother is indisposed in bed.
Éowyn helps the healers care for Arwen, and during one such meeting the Queen and Stewardess of Gondor find companionship in the great changes they have both come to know after these eight years of peace.Or, a look into Éowyn's life after the war, the women she takes with in Minas Tirith, and the kind of life a shield-maiden of Rohan might find for herself as the Stewardess of Gondor.
