Once Xyris was done, he placed the cup down on the display when he noticed Josephine’s eyes on him, had it been anyone else outside his inner circle and there would most likely be a fireball thrown, but his lovely Josie was one of the exceptions. He treasured being under her gaze and her’s alone. He opened his mouth to make light of her but this time it was the elegant antivan who cut him off with a kiss. Compared to the passionate kiss they shared a moment ago this one was softer, more tender, it showed Xyris just how much his ambassador missed him. He kissed her back instantly, using his unmarked hand he pressed it lightly against the back of her neck, pulling them even closer together.
The only reason they pulled away this time was for air, Xyris was for certain that if he could kiss this woman for the rest of time, he would do so in a heartbeat. But it was quite a welcoming sight to see her slightly ruffled hair and freckled bronze skin mixed with dusted pink cheeks… He didn’t know how he got so lucky with Josephine Cherette Montilyet but he knew that he was going to cherish her for as long as she wanted him too.
