    “You’ll have to forgive my current state. You caught me in the middle of some… private matters.” He tiptoes around the words, even though he knows they’re all very much aware of what he means by that.

    “You were jerking off in the lava pit?” Punz has much less grace than Sapnap, apparently. Sapnap laughs as he opens the chest and reaches inside. Out of the corner of his eye he catches Dream smacking Punz’s chest as he softly scolds him. Punz seems to not take that to heart. “How would you even do that?”

    Again, Sapnap giggles to himself as he reaches into the chest to scoop out several vials of fire resistance potion. He has a feeling he’ll have to restock his stash after this. “Lava actually makes surprisingly good lube if you use it right.”

    “And just how in the world did you discover that?” Dream asks quietly as Sapnap checks the potion labels to make sure that they’re the longer lasting ones. He puts a few back and replaces them with the correct mixtures.

    Sapnap smirks as he turns around, vials of fire resistance slotted between each of his fingers. “You should ask your mother.”

There, he finds him sitting in front of a fireplace where its light illuminates his body to create a shadow that covers nearly every corner of the room. The air in his lungs freezes as he sharply inhales, silently praying to Prime that he didn't hear him. He watches frozen as the man grabs a log from the pile beside the fireplace to toss it in before standing up where he briefly catches sight of a tail wrapped loosely around one of his legs.

    'Wait-...a tail? When did Dream get a tail?'

    Sapnap asks Quackity out on a date to the Las Nevadas restaurant in an effort to try and mend his relationship with him, and maybe even convince him to not give up on Karl or their entire past plans of one day eventually marrying each other. A certain someone crashes the date, and after a small fight breaks out because of this, Quackity stands on the edge of a choice.
    Does he look forward and keep going on without Karl and Sapnap? Or does he turn back and forsake all the pain by letting himself love them again?

    (or, this is a quacknap centric fic where they go on a date and it's nice but q is reluctant to go back to the way things used to be because he's been hurt one too many times, also wilbur is here to cause problems and dip)

    It has been 8 months since Karl and Quackity had fallen out at Kinoko Kingdom, and 7 months since Sapnap had gone on a date with Quackity and promised him that he was going to get Karl's memories back.

    Despite not believing that he was forgetting anything just yet, Karl finds himself struggling with emerging dreams of scenes he does not recall, and ambiguous feelings that he cannot place regarding Quackity. As he is shaken by whispers of his unconscious mind, perhaps there is something there that he cannot explain. Perhaps he was forgetting something after all.

    (OR this is the sequel to my previous one shot [i know that's not how they work but just roll with it] where karl gets some of his memories back and he goes racing over the server to find Quackity and they have an angsty time in the woods before making up and sapnap is also there and it is nice and pretty in the rain)
