No one could love a beast with a heart as dark as the Sunbeast's.
Liu'er Mihou had a normal, average life. Well, average might be underselling it considering his mother was a tad eccentric and not fully there in the head, and his father-figure was a former celestial turned hunter, but life was calm, predictable, consistent.
Sure he got a bit bored with the day in day out of it all and longed for something more exciting, that excitement not being an ego stroking lion trying for his hand as a mate, but he had his books and plays, and a family who deeply loved him.Mihou gets the excitement he craves when he trades himself for his parents freedom after they accidentally trespass into a stone palace belonging to the hideous Sunbeast.
Now stuck within the grand halls and courtyard of the stone palace, he resigns himself to a life trapped with a monster.
A monster who is a rude host, an awkward nerd, a colossal asshole, weirdly endearing, and maybe just a bit more than the beast he thinks he is.Perhaps there is someone who could love this beast after all?

“Okay, okay, okay,” Ma reached over and patted the short simian on the head comfortingly. “Let’s try this in an easier way…who tops?”
It was silent for another moment, before Mihou snorted, breaking into full out laughter as Wukong’s face turned a bright red, his eyes darting to the floor. “T-That shouldn’t have anything to do with this!”
“Oh, but it does!” crowed Ma, cackles following soon after. “See, dear stupid Pebble, what you don’t understand is that you’re much more Queen-like than your dark and gloomy knight.”

Sun Wukong was a name that brought fear and respect to those that could convince others that it was their name. It had felt like the right name to have, a persona to fall into when needed. Then again, climbing the Flower Fruit Mountain during the coldest winter on the rumor that the higher one goes, the more fruits they would see, had also seemed like the right thing to do. But then again, what was Hua supposed to know about the mythical Monkey King? Most certainly not that he'd chase her back home!

Summary
It was only a couple of years into Wukong and Mihou’s courtship that things took a sharper turn than they were expecting. While both demon monkeys were content to finish their courtship the proper way, despite having been together for so long, other demons weren’t as willing to wait for a chance to snag the Monkey King and his land as their own bride for the upcoming springs.
These are just some of the attempts that pushed their relationship a little faster.
(Also known as 5 times Wukong was almost courtnapped by someone that wasn't Mihou and the one time he was courtnapped by him.)
