This plays after the events of season one. Billy is admitted to the hospital. He doesn't remember a lot and certainly, Dinah's harassment and Krista's manipulation are not helping him. You try to do your best to stay close to him and help him but Billy is distant. He doesn't remember you and he's diffident by nature.
