The reason he went to space was because Jor-El turned out to be alive...somehow and we know it's him because he has Kryptonian technology. Riight
We are also sure it is the real Jon who came back because he had his memories and the DNA scans match...Riiight
His personality also did an 180, becoming a model Superman despite seemingly having no prior experience...RiiiightSeems legit. It's not that we have seen an occasion when all of these points were true yet it still turned out to be the wrong guy. Right?
aka. I came across a post that said that Jon's age up was okay because we got to have bi rep. Ah, yes, this is how I want to be represented: By a character I used to love, whose personality was scrubbed off to the equivalent of soggy white bread, with no potential left, whatsoever, and who also tried to hug it out with a homicidal dictator. But, hey, at least he has an emotionally neglectful boyfriend (nothing as romantic as getting upset at your partner for getting his stolen identity back)
