Dakota had always struggled with picking at his skin. Whether it was a slight blemish on his face, or a tiny hangnail, or a scab that could easily be ignored, he had always found a way to make it an open wound. By now, there were countless little scars on his forehead and cheeks, and the skin around his nails were practically calloused. He’d gotten better about it over time, but he often doesn’t even realize that he’s doing it, even now.

Will took a deep breath before closing his eyes… or rather, pretended to take a deep breath. It was difficult to keep himself calm. It felt like the spirit was doing whatever it could to make him lose control of his temper. When he opened his eyes again they seemed to be radiating a soft blue glow. Wisps started appearing around William and then began swirling around to create a portal of blinding light. The demon in William’s hands started to pale in color as if it were shifting to blue. For a moment, It was beautiful. For a moment William really thought he could help this spirit instead of hurt it.
Then the chaos demon fought back.
Or
William gets possessed by a chaos demon and Dakota and Vyncent have to figure out how to help him before it's too late.

“Dakota, c’mon,” came William’s voice again, still low and gentle. “You’re not breathing right, dude.”
“M’breathin’ just— just fine.”
”Dakota.”
This repetition of his name was the firmest by far, taking whatever thin shield of composure Dakota had left and shattering it, dispersing the pieces until all that was left was what really laid behind it.
And what laid behind it was hurt.
”I s-saw her,” he whined, immediately feeling embarrassed with how fragile his tone got.
Though he couldn't see it, he could imagine the way William reacted now, the same way he always did; nodding quietly as he squinted the slightest bit, absorbing information and deciphering meanings, coming up with solutions.
"You saw Ashe," he responded, spoken in a way that was more of a statement than a question.
