Many moons ago, when dragons descended from the heavens, the kingdoms of the Sun, Moon, Land, and Sea joined their powers together to erect a magical barrier that would keep them safe. The Shield Crystal was put in the center of these kingdoms and a new kingdom was carved out around it where everyone would be equal and all arguments would be left at the border.
They named it Ellison, after the great sorcerer Elias who erected the barrier. To cement the bond between kingdoms, noble alphas and betas of the Twelve Kingdoms attend school in Ellison from the age of 18, learning magic and trying to cement future prospects. She's sitting cross-legged on the bed, typing something on her phone with her right hand, with her left curled in her lap.

But then, there's a gorgeous guy on Evan's train. Connor, with his vintage new wave charm and his devastating smile. At first Evan dismisses it as just a fleeting infatuation, one of those public transit daydreams. He's fallen in love with plenty of strangers for a few moments before. This is nothing.
Until, of course, it isn't. As they get to know one another, Evan becomes the sort of person who looks forward to his commute because of his subway crush. So, naturally there's a snag: Connor isn't someone with a vintage sense of style. He's literally vintage. Unstuck in time and trapped on the subway.
