Never, probably. At least not for a long time. But that's not important now and this is the worst part, the part she’s been dreading. She has to restitch the vessel.
Or, post-canon where Teruko has been revived and is the acting captain of the Hunting Dogs. She gets shot in the thigh, and has to deal with the wound herself.

Teruko drums her fingers against her leg as she waits for the results of the Hunting Dogs’ evaluation. Either they’re about to go to jail for helping commit war crimes, or they’re going to be cleared of any wrongdoing. Her uniform feels so wrong even as she waits to see if she’s ever going to wear it again after today.
A man walks out of the conference room in front of her, and offers her two papers. The top one explains that they have been cleared, and she lets out a breath of relief.
Maybe now we can go back to working, and back to some semblance of normal.

Tachihara/Gin is mentioned several times, but nothing obviously romantic happens because she's in the story for a very short period of time. Also, the Black Lizard is only in the short at the very beginning.
