Supreme Leader Kylo Ren's accession has failed to unite the Order and its councils against any kind of common cause, all while General Armitage Hux attempts to clean up the mess left behind following the Battle of Crait. Promoting General Hux as his personal adviser may be the only thing Ren can do to prevent the collapse of the Order, but can the two survive the conflict, as well as surviving one another?
Set immediately after the end of The Last Jedi. My attempt at an alternative ending to the story of the First Order.

It is a time of peace. The Galaxy is under the rule of the New Republic. Protected by the New Republic military and Jedi Order. Though now a new threat is rising. The First Order the last remaining and most powerful Imperial Remnant group hide away in the unknown regions of the galaxy, preparing themselves for the day they can emerge and restore the Galactic empire.
Though weak in military power when compared to the New Republic, relying heavily on older Imperial-era ships and only able to do light raids. They prepare in secret to unleash their greatest weapon, the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer. A newer more advanced Star Destroyer that could potentially give them an advantage in the war they plan to rage.
Though unbeknownst to the First Order a traitor has stolen the plans of the new ship along with the plans for other ships the First Order are building. They are also unaware that the New Republic are close to finishing their great experiment, the Viscount-class Star Defender, a dreadnought that is scheduled to be the most powerful and advanced ship in the galaxy.
As the Galaxy prepares for a new war. They are unaware of a new threat lying in wait for the ideal opportunity to strike the galaxy.
