Summary
Alternate and more mature-rated take on a scene in the Dark Winged Queen Arc from the (2023 - Present) Titans (Tom Taylor’s run) comics. This takes place during Titans: Volume 2 or more specifically issue #15 of that run. It starts off pretty similar to how that scene goes in the comics, but devolves into more of my headcanon as it plays out. I really loved that scene, but because it’s not in a bbrae-focused comic, I felt like there was so much more left unsaid in their conversation due to space/time. Therefore, this is how I wish the rest of that scene played out. If you are not familiar with the storyline, this one-shot begins with a quick synopsis in the notes to catch you up on what’s going on in the continuity. If you’re familiar with the comic, you can just pick up after the synopsis.
I just needed this written down. That scene deserved more.

After being missing, Peter Parker returns to the DC universe to discover two years have passed and his friends, the Teen Titans have gone their separate ways.
Now it's up to Peter to reunite with his friends and lead the new Titans against the forces of evil. Together, they face off against villains from their own worlds, as well as threats from Peter's.
With Raven by his side again, the two lead the Titans against new threats. Until two surprise visitors from the future arrive to help turn the tides of the coming battles. The only question is, will the identity of one of them turn the tide of Peter and Raven's relationship?

…It’s too peaceful here.” Damian thinks to himself before his "peace" gets ruined by a half baked Superman.
Conner lands behind him, heavy boots crunching on the gravel. His expression is neutral, but there’s that trademark Kent concern in his brow.
“Didn’t find you in the tower. Kinda figured you’d come out here.” Conner says, too casually but it doesn't take a genius to feel the concern in his voice.
Damian doesn’t turn. He’s still watching the water like it might speak back.
“You tracked my heartbeat. Of course.” Damian says, with a sarcastic tone that doesn't has any humor.
Conner shrugs
“Your heartbeat was the only one not thumping like a caffeinated rabbit. You okay?”
Before Damian answers, a soft shimmer of shadows gathers behind them. Not to intimidate but to let them feel it's presence.
Raven appears, her hood down, eyes scanning the space like she walked in on something fragile.
“I told him not to follow you, by the way. But I came anyway" She says.. In her usual Raven—ish voice??

The soft gold glow bathed the walls of the chamber, reflecting off the polished stone floor. It was the same. Exactly the same. My heart skipped a beat, then hammered so hard I thought it might shatter the moment. But it didn’t.

The breath I’d been holding finally escaped, and I nearly laughed—nearly. Relief swept through me, sharp and dizzying, and I pressed my palms flat against the cold stone just to steady myself. It worked. The time travel spell actually worked.

Everyone, including Rachel, is concerned for Garfield's wellbeing and all agree that it's best if he stops clinging on to Tara, as that's what she would've wanted too.
