Summary
They discovered the compasses about a week ago, and since then, none of them had gone back to breathe the foul, rotten warm air under the Dome. The power of the force-field powered the liquid, smooth as lamp-oil, shimmering faintly blue as it ran into compasses hooked up to an invisible generator. They made the devices for themselves. They experimented, and they ventured out, away from their home universe, to explore.
They escaped into the Multiverse.
