Summary

He leaned on Grand Master Haytham while trying to stop the Assassins from reaching the precursor sites, unaware that his wife was traveling through the colonies in search of him. In the end, Shay will have to make a choice between his wife and Haytham. Especially when his infant daughter is thrown into the mix.

"Who is that?" A voice asked, a more deep and muscular tone as he monitors everything from the side. Agent Otso Berg and Agent Costa looked at the female figure before them in a screen.
"I don’t know, but her memories seemed to be deeply intertwined with Shay Cormac. In fact, I can’t separate them or else both files will be corrupted or destroyed, or both." More clacking of keyboard keys filled the tense air. "We have no records of her on file or in a database. There's nothing here that would even state that she exists."
"Fascinating. One who is associated with Shay Cormac but unknown to our history. A very interesting revelation. Find out more about her, and learn what you can from these memories."
An unknown figure that seemed to escape the historians and Abstergo's notice. Her tale tells the unsaid parts of Shay's life as his memories were corrupted and fractured. A figure that lurks in the shadows of Shay Cormac's memories.

“So what are we going to do about it?” Shay asked once Haytham had finished his tale.
The other man looked at him in silence for a moment. “I would understand if you prefer to leave again. Now that the box is found, there is no reason for you to stay with us any longer.” He heard the unsaid words. There is no need for you to stay with me any longer. “You could just take the Morrigan and go anywhere you want, Shay.”
If he was being honest to himself, he’d seen this coming. Haytham offering him a way out. Trying to keep him safe, even without saying the words.
“Haytham.” Shay said slowly, catching the other man’s eyes. “I didn’t come back to just leave again once things turn difficult.” He knew that it was probably a bad idea. That there was a possibility that, after all those years, Haytham didn’t feel the same way about him anymore. “We’re in this together, if you still want me.”When Shay returns with the box, he discovers that there is a traitor within the Templar Order.
