Bored almost to tears, Belos drummed his fingers over the armrest of his throne. If some divine intervention were to occur right now to spare him from this slow torture of a Coven Scout report, he certainly wouldn’t complain. Despite his best efforts, his eyes began to slip shut.
Then a sudden blink of red overtook his vision.

The Golden Guard sees a glimpse into his future, his wife and children the spitting image of the pretty plant witch standing in front of him at this year's Covention, asking him to show her how to use a crystal ball.
She looks so familiar, but Hunter can't quite figure out where he knows her from, only that his future self is positively smitten — and honestly, it's not hard to see why. In the vision, she glances up at him, cheeks dimpling as she fixes him with a fond smile, and leans in to press a soft, sweet kiss against his lips that ignites a heat like a roaring fireplace inside his chest — both versions, current and future, affected.
With a jolt, Hunter realizes why she looks so familiar — this woman, this absolute angel his future self adores with all his heart, is an older version of the witch currently standing in front of him, soft hands splayed over the edges of the crystal ball, dwarfed by his own clumsy, gloved hands wrapped around them. With a gasp, Hunter pulls back, thankful she can't see how utterly spellbound he looks beneath his mask.
