“Only one hundred dollars?” Josh’s sweltering, damp palms touch down on his elbows. Glide up his forearms and he swears they linger over the tattoos, tapping where each mark is without seeing where he’s going. “That’s all, huh?” He complains only with a frown and a twist of lips Josh echoes, pouting, again, as he strips Tyler of the privilege of holding Josh’s chest. Josh sneaks his hands out, brings them to the piano behind him and helps him grab on. “I know you got more money than that,” Josh simpers at him, threading fingers through his hair. “Bigshot.”

You know how it goes.” It had been the right time, the right pressure, for her to say those words. Tyler is still taking them into his chest and developing them in all the homemade chemicals he keeps there, turning it into something wonderful and right and uniquely his own.
