Based of the story game the Arcana
Not following the plot of the game by the way.
Rowan is a young, gorgeous noble in Vesuvia during the reign of Count Lucio. After the plague takes the life of his wife, Countess Nadia, the kingdom is in need of a new Countess. All eligible maidens are to attend the Count's masquerade ball, where he hopes to meet his new bride.
Rowan has no desire to be the Count's bride, in fact she has her eyes on a mischievous doctor named Julian. She goes out of her way to avoid attracting the Count's attention, but as it happens, that is exactly what she does.

Have you ever wished the Arcana was one big story? Where all plot, characters, and story comes together? Boy do I have the solution. No seriously I have rewritten the entire story into one big one with brand new characters, redesigns, plot, and more while staying true to the blueprint. It’s so rewritten you can jump into this without knowing anything about the arcana.
This is my first fan fiction ever and I am learning as I go, please be kind and enjoy! Also here’s a more story like summary!

Ruri knows one thing, she knows nothing. Three years ago she awoke from some illness that erased every memory of who she used to be. Nonetheless she has recovered a cozy life studying magic under the guidance of her master, Asra and working a magic shop in the busy city of Vesuvius. Her cozy life hasn’t lasted long though as one night a stranger visits requesting her work and suddenly her life is flipped upside down as she’s confronted by a past she does not know, people she does not recognize, and magic far beyond her understanding and finds there is much more to her missing memories then she knows.
