Summary
Your browser can translate the story into your language, just click on the three dots in the right corner of your cell phone, notebook or computer and click on "translate")

Summary
Dying was not a pleasant experience as books about fantastic heroes made it seem. It was not a noble, satisfying and peaceful ending for someone who had won his battles and died in a soft bed, with years of history and loved ones surrounding him.
Nor was it the noble ending of dying in battle, where the hero defeated the monster before perishing with the certainty of having saved lives or at least tried. In the latter, the departure might have contained some anguish, but it was still serene.
No. Jaskier, as an unwanted, hyperactive child and later a bard with no sense of self-preservation, felt death lurking more than once.
Therefore, he could say from first-hand experience and with complete conviction, dying was absolute shit.
(Jaskier is not literally dead)

Summary

Summary
"Hanahaki is a disease that makes you vomit flower petals. The symptoms are severe bodily pain and flowers growing inside you. The way to contract it is by falling in love, which for some can take months or years for symptoms to appear, for others it takes a few days."
It is also worth highlighting that it is a very rare disease. As rare as encountering a superior vampire in the middle of a market and having the misfortune of being attacked by him. That said, with Jaskier's luck, it's obvious he would be one of the unlucky ones.
