“So what are you, one of those creepers that hangs around college campuses and harasses the young, cute guys?” Peter asks, sarcastically.
Wade huffs out an awkward laugh, a little harder than he probably should at a joke deprecating himself. “If I say yes, will you sleep with me?” he asks, an awkward grin painting his face under the mask.
Peter stares at him for a moment, pondering his answer and possibly rethinking a few life decisions before setting his backpack down on the ground, looking around for something. Eventually pulling out a pack of sticky notes, he begins to scribble something down on one, Peter sighs,
“I cannot believe I’m doing this.” he shakes his head, but a small grin pulls at the corners of his lips.
“Here.”

It started as a joke—just a casual “thank you, dear” tossed Spock’s way during a routine shift. A quirk of speech, a slip of the tongue. James T. Kirk didn’t mean anything by it. Really.
But then it happened again. And again. Until half the crew had a spreadsheet, the other half had a betting pool, and Spock had a problem no amount of Vulcan composure could entirely suppress.
Now Kirk has to face the consequences of his unconscious affection. Spock, as always, would simply like some clarity. Possibly dinner.
