He looked up at Nelo Angelo, his eyes seeing past the masks they both donned to protect themselves from reality, and into the eyes of the man who drowned with him in a sea of books and tea, and escaped with him to a wonderland of violas and piano keys. “Aside from my taste in literature and collectibles, when have I ever disappointed you?" he added softly, placing his left hand over his chest. -

Summary
Vergil releases the knight's form, leaving him standing there as a human. The White Rabbit has seen this form only a few times before, in moments they never acknowledge outside of their occurrence– knows how much he loathes inhabiting sapien flesh. Well, perhaps he can alleviate that burden– for a while anyway. He has experience with one twin already, so the other should be a simple matter.
“I could sic my underlings on you, but I doubt they'd be little more than fodder. Dante already chewed through most of the useful ones.” The White Rabbit moves closer, invading Vergil's space, reaching out to grab his jaw. His voice drops low, taking satisfaction in the way Vergil tenses up. “No, you require a more… personal touch.”
(Vergil goes to the White Rabbit for help with awakening his real devil trigger by any means necessary.)

The White Rabbit gives a hum of contemplation, beginning to pace the room once more.
“I ran some tests on the blood you gave me.” He pauses at his desk, picking up the vial, now empty. “This blood had already been circulating through my system, assimilated into me the day that I died. In other words, this is your blood.” He turns back to Nelo, a smirk slashing across his face. “Isn't that right, son of Sparda?”

A legend like Cor Leonis could not be defeated, everybody knew that.
Loqi was so sure about it that he can't understand when, one day, the Immortal is captured by his war companion, Caligo Ulldor.
Loqi sees how the great legend of The Immortal Cor Leonis seems to be about to end in a random, unimportant, dirty dungeon room, like a mortal, like a loser, and decides that's not the ending he wants for the legend he's been obsessed with all his life.
