Summary
Dean is on a solo hunt shortly after Sam left for college, but after a mistake he is captured by the monster. Unable to escape, Dean nearly resigns himself to his fate when he is rescued by a hunter, a hunter who apparently knows quite a bit about Dean's family. Dean agrees to travel with this group of hunters, hoping to learn about the family he never truly got to meet.

Dean looks at the version of him from HunterCorp and he sees somebody else. But then he realizes that some of the things he’s got buried within his stained, bruised mind aren’t skeletons in the world of his doppelganger’s glass closet. They’re alive and well; in a way that some parts of our Dean can never be.
Or, the fic wherein HunterCorp Dean is comfortably bisexual, and we, via Sam and Cas and a little HunterCorp Dean backstory, acknowledge the depth and complexity of canon Dean’s emotions (and why he doesn’t trust himself with who he is).
