Shifting her eyes to Rio’s, she threw out a sly wink as if to say “follow my lead”; which Rio quickly obliged. Smiling softly, Rio extended her hand out for the woman to take in hers. “All good, my love. Alice and Jen are out on the dance floor, so it’ll just be us two sitting here until they finally decide to join us again.”
The man brushed a hand through his hair, a confused laugh slipping between his lips. “You guys are-” he paused, exchanging a glance between the two women- “together?”
That’s when, oddly enough, the music at the bar began to play “Pink Triangle” by Weezer.

Summary
Professor Vidal has always hated Professor Harkness. Agatha's teaching style was wild, chaotic, a party for each class. Rio on the other hand felt a classroom was a sacred space to learn. Not to have dance parties or comedy shows in. The two were opposites, enemies in each other's eyes.
However, one night- Rio finds herself crying in the ice cream aisle after being stood up by her date. To make matters worse? Agatha Harkness finds her there.

That is until she meets Rio, who seems to be everything she wants and more.
But when she takes her home, it turns out how much of her infatuation has been based on false assumptions, significantly decreasing their compatibility.

“Compliant?” Rio stood slowly, her eyes never leaving Agatha’s face. The action put her inches away, her body heat radiating out, searing Agatha’s skin. “Obedient?”
Agatha’s hips shifted against her will, her lips parting slightly. She closed her eyes against the heady mortification that razed through her chest. She felt Rio move closer and she parted her legs without thought.
Rio stepped between them but didn’t touch, hands settling on the desk inches from Agatha’s hips and hands.
“You always were such a brat.” Rio’s breath was hot against Agatha’s ear, her voice throaty and raw and filthy. “You never knew how to do what you were told.”
Or: After five years away, a still-grieving Agatha is dragged back into the FBI and the arms of her ex-wife.
