    Summary

Okarun closed his eyes and hummed, thinking very hard. “You’re teasing me,” he concluded.

“What? No way,” Momo bit back a grin, shuffling a bit to better face her friend.

His face scrunched, but his eyes were still closed. “You’re so mean, Momo.”

Her heart did a little skip at that. Okarun never called her Momo, except when he transformed. She was just startled, was all. When he said it so casually, dropping the curtain of pretenses and formality, it felt… special. It was like his own way of peering into her soul.

“A-anyways, let me see if I can fix this. I wanna go back to bed as soon as possible,” the psychic brushed it off, willing the heat in her cheeks to dissipate.

    Summary

Things were weird. They didn't talk about it.

Macaque was coming by again. The first time had been at night, so soon after they'd both been freed that the ground around them was still littered with jagged ice stalagmites, now inert. They were already melting. They would be gone on their own eventually.
Wukong watched him pummel one into slush.
After a minute, he wordlessly stepped out and helped crush them to puddles with their bare hands. The extent of her influence left the two of them working for the better part of an hour before they could no longer see any on the horizon. Their work done, Macaque had slunk back into the shadows.

But he came back. Again, at night. He kept to the trees, nosing into his scarf and whiling the night away reclined and stealing whatever fruit grew at hand. He didn't sleep. Wukong would have been a hypocrite to bring it up. He was gone again come morning, always seeming to slip away when Wukong had his eyes off him.

Night five of that, and Wukong left the shack door ajar.

Night seven, and Macaque came inside.

    Summary

Okay, sure, MK was a bit of a slob when he ate, and he spoke a little too loudly, and he didn't know how to dance beyond the head-bobbing shimmy he did during deliveries, but he'd be fine. He wasn't going to completely humiliate himself as the guest of honor in the city's gala.

And he definitely didn't need Red Son to teach him.

(Red Son teaches MK how to be a respectable guest at a gala. For the @clownboo_Art 11k dtiys on twitter)

    Summary

It feels mocking, in a way. A simple, yellow line. The tape stared back at him, and Wilbur decided that he has had too much to drink tonight.

    “Those are my cigarettes.”

“Yes,” he confirmed again, with a nod, this time. “Your point?”

“You stole from me,” Wilbur accused, raising an eyebrow at how casual the guy was being.

“I also saved your life,” he countered, and Wil sneered.

    “I didn't ask you to.”

“Right, sorry, then. Here's my apology gift,” Tommy handed him a big object. Wilbur took it, and very quickly realized that it was a guitar. His guitar.

    “And this is... my guitar.”

    Or,

Afraid of unkept promises and drowning in memories of what used to be, Wilbur Soot tries dying. Instead, he finally finds a light at the end of his tunnel. Met at the Jubilee Line, and parted ways at the same place, Wilbur and Tommy were brothers.
