Louis was mostly ok. He had learnt to put the past behind him, keep it hidden in the little corner of his brain that he doesn’t use very often and function like a normal, happy human being. But every so often the violent stab of loneliness reared its ugly head making the air he breathed feel like needles in his chest. Today was one of those times.
