When Steve had agreed to a group costume, he didn’t know it was going to mean this.
But here he was, Steve Harrington, Prom King, Hawkins High basketball star, all dressed up in a fucking yellow ball and fishnets and lipstick. At least no one would know it was him.
The party was… fine. Steve was mostly keeping an eye on his kids, making sure they weren’t getting into too much trouble as they ran around, trying every snack and arcade cabinet in sight.
“Do my eyes deceive me?”
Steve turned to find Keith, of all people, leaning on the counter next to him, dressed up as… oh no.
“Have I finally found the Missus to my Pac-man?”

“Steve!” Robin wailed, and threw herself into his arms. He caught her automatically, mind scrambling to catch up.
“Robs? I thought you were gonna stay over,” he said, scanning her over to check for any signs of harm. “Did she not want to?”
“No,” Robin cried, “She did want to! It was terrible!” She collapsed back into his arms in a fit of tears, and Steve took it with a confused grunt.
Maybe he should take this inside.

It’s a warm spring day when Eddie discovers that Steve Harrington isn’t at all the person he thought he was.
“Hey!” He greets over the sound of the shop’s bell as he and Robin step inside. “What brings you fine people to this humble establishment?”
He hears his coworker snort behind him, but he keeps his gaze focused on his friends. Robin looks nervous, which isn’t that surprising — he doesn’t think she’s ever been inside a tattoo studio before — but Steve looks perfectly comfortable.
“What else?” He says, leaning an elbow on the counter. “We’re getting tattoos.”
