In hindsight, Colin kind of can't believe none of them knew. It was particularly stupid because the entire team had taken part in multiple conversations where they sometimes lovingly and sometimes not so lovingly, made fun of the stupid little bags Jamie was always carrying around.
Except turns out they weren't just stupid fashion choices. Jamie was using them to carry around a fucking Epipen that none of them knew he had.

Its not that Jamie changes after the events at Wembley, in fact if anything he ups his bravado but everyone has seen behind the carefully curated front Jamie's put on all his life, and suddenly they're realising all the things they missed before. All the things Jamie's hidden behind jokes and smiles.
Used to be he'd make some crude joke and they'd roll their eyes, but now they know the truth that joke is hiding.
Now they look at each other, seeing the same thought reflected around the locker room.The kid looks so sad.

"You said that your dad calls you soft…" he begins, and fuck, Jamie really wishes he began somewhere else. "I know what that's code for. I'm…I'm soft, too."

He pauses here, and Jamie raises an eyebrow. His emergency contact? He’d probably filled out some joke response last time, hadn’t he. Fucking Queen of England, Boris Johnson’s wife, something good.
“Oi, let’s see it then,” and Higgins passes over the paper like it’s a live bomb, and Jamie scans down to where he sees his own handwriting sitting over a few dotted lines, and, well. It sure ain’t the Queen.
or: Jamie goes through a series of unfortunate events, changes his emergency contact a few times, and considers the possibility that maybe, actually, letting other people help isn’t all bad after all.

And now he was standing in the middle of the room with his shirt rolled up, the most nasty, ugly bruises staining his skin. But what Ted couldn't come to understand was what could’ve happened to the player for him to feel the urge to hide it so fiercely.
In which Jamie is seriously injured in Two Aces, Ted can't wrap his mind around the idea of someone hurting his own son so badly, and also some relationships develope earlier than they were intended.

The first time Zoro suspected Sanji was up to something was when he found an excuse to lose Zoro on a grocery run. Zoro had been trying to break away for several island stops grocery trips but the shit cook always found a way to hold onto Zoro, even in the heaviest of crowds. And then suddenly one day, he sent Zoro away, with a request to buy a specific item from a specific store. And because the island's layout was confusing and stupid, it took Zoro an hour and a half to make it back to the same place and there Sanji was, bitching about Zoro getting lost.
But he looked different. As Zoro walked around the Sunny’s deck that night, he realized that Sanji was sweating, on a relatively cool island, and was that lipstick? Just a tiny speck on the corner of Sanji’s mouth?
Zoro didn't care what the cook did but the fact was…interesting.
