You stole the ace of hearts from my deck

Chapter Text

The room was weird...Her mother standing over her. Pidge's eyes focused back in. She didn't have her glasses. Laughter and yelling resonated through the halls. It set Pidge on edge. She frowned.

"Where am I?" Colleen sighed.

"You're in an institution." Pidge's heart sunk.

"How long have I been here?" She asks. The woman sighs. A doctor entered the room, smiling sheepishly as he made his way to a sink.

"Not long. You were found in an upstairs room, at the Ascots'. Lotor had you brought here. You were behaving so strangely. They say you were trying to get under the furniture. Talking about the atmosphere? When did you even have time to change...?" Pidge's eyes widened as it came back to her.

"The Chronosphere! Lance!" The doctor then came closer.

"Yes indeed, Miss Holt." The doctor said, bringing a cart closer and reading something. Pidge looked at her mother.

"I've got to go back..." Pidge breathed out. Her mother looked at her for something.

"Let us see. Excitable... emotional, prone to fantasy. A textbook case of female hysteria. Untreatable, some say. I beg to differ."  The man said, grabbing a huge syringe. Pidge frowned.

"But there's nothing wrong with me!" Pidge protested.

"Lie back, Kathlyn. Lie back." Pidge laid back to get as far away from the man as possible as he sat down.

"Dr. Bennet, is it really necessary?" Colleen asked. Pidge was using her force to stop the syringe.

"Surely there must be some--" The doctor sighed.

"Mr. Harris, if you could see to Mrs. Holt?" Pidge snarled as she started kicking and pushing him away.

"I can't be here! I've got to go back!" Pidge protested.

"We have work to do. Never fear. We'll have Pidge fixed, in no time." The man said as her mother was escorted out. Pidge eyed the syringe he just put down right next to her. She smirked. He really thought she was that dumb?? He turned and froze as the syringe was gone.

"Where did I--" And he found it...right in his leg. The doctor fell to the ground as Pidge got up, sighing. She got her clock and her keys. Her mother's eyes widened as the doctors started noticing. She held the doors.

"PIDGE! RUN!" Her mother screamed. Pidge smirked as she put her glasses on and dangled the keys. She rushed out of the room, navigating the halls so that nobody could catch her. Pidge had a quick mind and, thank goodness, she was also quick on her feet. Pidge rushed up the stairs, as fast as she could, multiple doctors after her! She took a random coat and then got on the building's roof. She closed the door behind her and looked down. There was a carriage there. She took the rope from the flag as the doctors were banging on the door to the roof. She was panting but Pidge needed to do this.

Pidge quickly tied the rope around her waist.

"If three years at sea taught me anything... it's how to tie a bloody good knot." Pidge said. Just as the men burst through the door, Pidge was on the edge of the roof. They rushed to catch her, but Pidge already jumped, lowering herself with the rope. She untied her waist and quickly jumped on the carriage.

"Hey! That's my cab! You can't take that!" Pidge looked back as she got on the front seat and used the reigns to get the horses moving.

"Sorry! I plead insanity." Pidge yelled to the man that was protesting. The next thing Pidge knew, she left the carriage outside Lotor's house and managed to sneak back into the study. Underneath the couch, she found it, the Chronosphere.

"Hold on, McLains." Pidge said. She then entered the glass, started the Chronosphere, and took off. The Sea was angrier than before, it was clear something big was going down. She needed to be quick with this! The sphere made a bell noise as her deck showed the day she needed to get to. She accelerated and went right through. And there the Jabberwocky was, scaring the shit out of Pidge as it soared through the sky. But she saw the city in flames. She landed and as soon as she stepped out, the sphere shrank in her hands, not even stopping Pidge from moving through the chaos.

She ran and ran until she had to stop. The Jabberwocky soared through the sky. Pidge's eyes widened in shock. She then looked around to identify them. The McLains. She saw them. Up ahead there they were. She bolted towards them only to be stopped by a burst of lighting and fire. She stepped back, the flames hot and too big. But through the flames, she saw it. The Red Knights had formed a sort of protection for the McLains. And that's how the McLains were taken away...while the little hat was dropped when they were handling the poor family.

And in the middle of it all, Honerva, smiling at her prisoners. Pidge looked straight at her cheeky smile. Man, she wanted to wipe it off...The Jabberwocky roared as he went straight above Pidge's head, who lowered herself to the ground to dodge and then let Honerva climb on him.

"Next time." Pidge said, narrowing her eyes. She traveled back to the present (shocking right?) and rushed to Lance's house. She burst right through the door.

"LANCE!! LANCE!! Your family, they're alive!" Empty...Pidge then went upstairs to find everyone gathered next to Lance's bed. He looked...ill...

"He's barely ticking." Coran said as he took his stethoscope off. Pidge slowly made her way to Lance's bed.

"I fear you are too late. He's fading away." Allura said. Keith gritted his teeth.

"I can't bear to see him like this..." Hunk said, sniffling. Shay put her arms around Hunk and everyone started exiting the room. Pidge stood there, tears in her eyes.

"You son of a bitch..." She said through gritted teeth. She sniffled and wiped her eyes, raising her glasses, then put them back in place, kneeling next to the bed.

"Lance, listen to me...I know what that hat means now, ok? Fuck- I traveled through time for you, you can't do this to me, ok?" She picked up the blue hat.

"You made it for your grandfather when you were young. A token of your love, which you thought he threw away. But he kept it, all those years. He kept it!" She, shakingly inhaled.

"I am not good with people...I...I'm better with numbers and tinkering...But you're one of the only people who truly get me, ok...? And I'm here to help and we can get your family back if you just...wake up...Please...I thought it was impossible...I should have believed you from the start..." Pidge said, wiping her eyes again, sniffling.

"You... believe me?" Lance asked, his voice horse. Pidge looks up.

"I'll always believe in you, you stupid goofball!" Lance's eyes widened at the words as he tuned towards Pidge.

"It's you, isn't it? I'd know you anywhere. You're Pidge...MY Pidgey..." Pidge started laughing as tears were streaming down her face.

"A-AND YOU'RE CRYING?! ARE YOU HURT??" Lance said sitting up. Pidge threw herself on Lance, hugging him by the neck.

"You're a moron for scaring me like that...I missed you so much, goofball." Lance smiled.

"So have I, Hermosa..." Lance then frowned.

"But if my family's still alive... why have they not come home? And what happened to your clothes?" Lance asked. Pidge wiped her eyes one more time and placed her glasses better.

"Because they are being held captive... by the only person cruel enough to keep them locked up... all these years. And I just escaped the looney bin."

"Bloody big head. I'm going to find that red queen and bring my family home." Lance said as he jumped up on his bed. Then froze.

"Wait..YOU WHAT?!" Pidge sighed.

"Let's move, idiot!!" She said as she pulled his arm.

Far away, however, in a castle made of roots and vegetables, stood Haggar, who just got inside her room.

"Hello! What do you think, pets?" She said to her ant-house. She looked at it and clicked her tongue.

"Oh, dig, dig, dig. Work, work, work." She then picked it up.

"Earthquake." She started laughing as she shook the thing up and down, causing the sand to fall. Suddenly, a loud noise outside and a strike of light makes her stop and put the object down. Time crashes through the window and Haggar's eyes widen.

"Where the devil have you been?! Where's Pidge?! Where's my Chronosphere?!" Haggar yelled.

"She jumped into a looking glass. She's gone." Time stuttered.

"What? You let her get away?!" She yells.

"No, I... I must find her. Where is she?" Haggar frowns.

"How should I know where she is?!"

"Cause she is your enemy. She muttered... an utterance about...McLains." Haggar froze.

"She said she was going to rescue them. What could this mean?" Time asked. Haggar turned around.

"I know exactly what that means. Guards? Seize him!" Time was grabbed by two vegetable men.

"You see, from now on, dearest... I'm in charge." Haggar said, her face darkening.

Meanwhile, everyone was riding towards where Haggar had her new empire. Pidge and Lance are on the Bandersnatch, both changed out of their old clothes. Pidge insisted on wearing a suit again. Lance can't lie she looked stunning in his work. And Haggar was awaiting them. As soon as they passed the mountains, Haggar had her eyes on Pidge.

"Pidge...Allura..." Haggar lowered her binoculars and broke off the nose of one of the guards. Lance's eyes widened as they were getting closer to the root-castle.

"My family's there. I know it!" Lance said. Pidge was looking ahead as Lance was holding onto her.

They got to the doors and pushed them open. The place looked...awful...

"Good heavens! Which way is up?" Coran asked. The Tweedles hugged each other.

"Oh, there's a lot of stairs..." Hunk said.

"Is this where we, uh..." Keith tried to say. Shiro frowned.

"Split up!" Shiro finished. The Tweedles looked at each other.

"We'll split up together." They both said to the other.

"It is a very large castle...Perhaps if we don't split up? Oh, dear..." Coran said. Lance and Pidge nodded as they took the right. Allura, Keith, and Shiro took the middle, and Coran, Hunk, and the Tweedles took the left. Doors and doors with different things. Weird, murderous, things.

"McLains?"

"McLainssss?" Everyone kept asking around as they opened doors with different traps. Everyone was having trouble with them...apart from a duo. Coran and Hunk were caught by vines. Allura was taken by giant flying bugs, the Tweedles were caught by translucent caterpillars and Keith and Shiro fell in a giant trap-door.

"This is the last room." Pidge said, panting, as both she and Lance rushed up the stairs.

"They must be this way. I just know it." Lance said. They pushed the giant wooden door open and walked in. It looked like Haggar's room.

"Abuelo? Mama? Anyone?" Lance asked. Empty.

"They're not here?" He asked, his voice cracking.

"They're not here..." He said, falling to his knees. Pidge looked at him with a sad look.

"They're not here. But I was certain that they were here. I... I could feel it." Lance said, looking at Pidge with glossy eyes. Pidge got close to Lance and put a reassuring hand on his shoulder. He looked at Pidge's hand then towards the table and froze.

"Pidge..." She quirked a brow and looked in the direction he was looking.

"Oh my god..." Inside the ant-house, the sand was being dug...it was a hat.

"Abuelo...Mama...Everyone, it's you!!" Lance said, happily. Pidge frowned and then she remembered. She heard Time say something about Haggar liking tiny things when she passed by his study.

"Teeny-tiny you, but still you!" Lance said, happily. Lance kisses the glass of the ant-house, then something breaks behind Pidge. She turns around quickly. A root broke, letting vegetable window seals fall, trapping Lance and Pidge in the room.

"Hello, Pidge." Haggar said. Pidge backed away.

"No..." Haggar smirked as she put her hand out.

"Get it!" Lance's eyes widened as the two guards started searching Pidge up for something.

"Hands off of her!!" Lance yelled. One of the guards scoffed at Lance, who still held the ant-house. Then they gave Haggar the Chronosphere, while Pidge was being held back by the guards.

"Thank you, ever so much. You have just delivered to me... the most powerful device in the entire universe. Along with your dearest friends. And my dearest enemy." Haggar spat out. Lance and Pidge narrowed their eyes. But it didn't help with anything. They were all stuck in a big cage now.

"I knew we should have stayed together. Now, look at us. Stuck in a giant vegetable jail." Coran complained. Time groaned as he was held in chains by a chair. He looked to his right to see a skeleton...of a guy with an eye patch and a dagger sticking out of him? Everyone in the cage scrunched their noses up at the fact it was Sendak.

"Wait! Your majesty, stop! You cannot change the past. Believe me, I have tried." Pidge yelled. Lance turned to her.

"You what...?" Lance asked, slightly touched.

"You were so sad without your family..." Lance's eyes softened.

"Pidge...even if it could mean forgetting you...?" She shrugged. Haggar groaned.

"Oh, Pidge, you always were an irksome... slurvish, interrupting thing. When I get back... I shall have the heads of all your friends. And then I shall have your head. Ta-ta." Haggar walked over to the sphere and grabbed Allura's hand, dragging her within the sphere as well.

"Come on. Don't let her see herself... or else she will destroy everything!" The two took off and disappeared into the sky. Lance scoffed.

"I now recall why I don't like her..." Lance said. Pidge sighed, face-palming. Suddenly, Time short-circuited.

The clock was going crazy. Wilkins was panicking.

""How to keep the clock going, yourself." Of course! Seconds, minutes... procedure 347!" Wilkins yelled as he closed the manual.

"It's time... for... ze hour!" Wilkins yelled.

The Time settled.

"It's Time... Oh, this is all my fault. I stole the Chronosphere." Pidge said. Lance turned towards Pidge.

"Not to be rude but...I think you may have to steal it again." Lance said. Pidge sighed. Unknown to any of them in the cage was that one of the vegetable servants was opening the cage. She opened the door and Pidge recognized her from when Haggar came over to Time's castle that day. Lance quirked a brow in surprise.

"She ate my schnozzle." Lance gasped. Pidge covered her mouth.

"And my fingers." A guard said.

"And my elbow!" Said another. Pidge pouted in pity at the poor people. Lance looked at the lady and said.

"I think you look rather fetching without your schnozzle. Absolutely radishing." The woman chuckled. He then looked at Pidge who was fusing over the guard's elbows and fingers.

"But she stole my heart so for me, she is the most radishing if you know what I mean..." Lance said, pointing at Pidge. The woman giggled and nodded.

"What are we going to do?" Coran asked.

"Yeah, what's the plan?" Keith asked. Everyone was surrounding her. Pidge backed away slightly.

"Don't panic, Pidgey...We know you can do this." Lance said. She inhaled and exhaled and then started muttering to herself. Everyone exchanged glances.

"Alright. Take Time to his castle. Lance and I will retrieve the chronosphere... and restore order to the universe. Do you understand?" Pidge asked. They all nodded and agreed.

"What are you waiting, for? Let's go!" Pidge yelled. Lance looked after Pidge as she quickly moved to pick the lock on Time's chains. He sighed.

"Welp just my luck for falling for the genius, huh...?" Lance muttered. He could hear laughter from the ant-house.

"Oh, shut it!" Lance said, flushing, not realizing his family could hear him.

The sphere moved quickly through the sky on that winter day. Haggar and Allura entered through a window and they were quickly moving through the halls of the castle.

"Where are we?" Allura asked.

"You know where we are." Haggar spat.

"Why are these crusts under your bed?" The Queen asked. Allura froze.

"She put them there." Past Honerva said.

"Did you, Allura?" The Queen asked.

"Did you, Allura?" Present Haggar repeated.

"You did. Tell her!" Honerva said.

"Tell the truth, Allura. Did you eat the tarts, and put the crusts there?" One second. Two. Three. Four of silents. They felt like hours.

"No." Past Allura and Present Allura said at the same time. Haggar snarled. Allura's eyes widened.

"Honerva no!"

"You're a liar! Liar! You are lying!!" Haggar yelled, suddenly, something that looked like rust covered Haggar whole. Allura covered her mouth in shock. Lance and Pidge entered through the same window with the other vessel, falling off of it and sliding on the glass. Lance landed ok but Pidge wasn't so lucky.

"Shit- PIDGE!!" Lance said, crawling to her.

"It's just a bit of blood." Lance's eyes widened at the bloodstain on the suit.

"Pidge- you are BLEEDING. Blood is never good--"

"Hush!" They both listen to hear a scream. They looked at each other with wide eyes. Lance picked his family up and then the two rushed down the hall. There stood Haggar. Pidge and Lance froze.

"This cannot be good..." Lance said. Pidge went ahead and picked up the Chronosphere. Her eyes widened in horror as the rust was spreading everywhere.

"We've got to go, now!" Pidge said to Allura and Lance.

Inside Time's castle, cogs were falling off.

"She has broken the past!" Time exclaimed.

"Only putting back the Chronosphere can save us, now!" Wilkins yelled.

The rust was extending quickly. As in QUICKLY! People were screaming as the rust was taking over, extending with spikes and even going in the sky.

"Um...Pidge?!" Lance yelled as Pidge was accelerating towards a closing spot on the sky.

"HANG ON!" Lance's eyes widened.

"PIDGEEEE!!" But they made it, going right into the Sea of Time. The Sea of Time wasn't safe either.

"Fuck..." Lance said, as he looked back. Allura gasped, holding Haggar's rust statue as well. Pidge snarled.

"I haven't spent 3 years at sea for nothing...HANG ON!" She turned the wheel, looping between the waves.

"You WHAT?!- PIDGE!!!" Lance and Allura both held on as tight as they could. She went through waves and dodged the rust like the sea was her home.

"Holy shit..." Lance breathed out. He then looked back.

"It's catching up!" Pidge snarled. She accelerated. She went right through a wave, taking them back the day Pidge arrived, right before she fell in the flowers. Everything was turning to rust. Lance looked at his house, his lip wobbling slightly. Allura put a reassuring hand on his shoulder. They managed to get to the Castle of Time.

Pidge was navigating through the rocks as the sky was falling...the rust was unbearable, it could almost crush them if not of the stones.

Pidge got up from the spike stones around the castle and eyed a window. She narrowed her eyes.

"Pidge?" Allura asked.

"Hold on, everyone." Allura's eyes widened.

"I don't wanna hold on!" Lance protested as both he and Allura screamed. They crashed right through the window, landing on the bridge, a bit higher than the main cog where the Chronosphere was supposed to go. Wilkins turned around, his eyes wide.

"Ze Chronosphere! She brought it back!" Wilkins yelled. Pidge jumped out of the Chronosphere with ease and picked it up. Lance and Pidge started running but Allura froze and turned to look at Haggar.

The rust reached the castle. It was spreading fast. Coran, standing up above, looked at Pidge with wide eyes as she ran with Lance behind her.

"Run, Pidge! They might actually pull this off." Coran then looked behind him and shrieked. He jumped off the balcony to find Shiro and Keith running.

"Follow me. This way!" Shiro yelled. Coran immediately rushed after the two to escape the rust.

"I've got you, wee man." Hunk said as he jumped off a cog, saving a tiny second from the rust.

Wilkins rushed in the halls, accelerating as the rust was catching up.

"Tick-tock, tick-tock. Gotta save the Grand Clock." He told himself as he went even faster.

Allura was pulling Haggar from the rust.

"I won't leave you!" But the rust reached them and Allura froze on the spot as the rust extended.

"Sir, sir! Hold on, sir! She's here! Ze girl who tricked you, und made you look a complete idiot!" Wilkins said to Time. Time perked up slightly. They could be saved.

Pidge and Lance rushed as everything was being covered in rust. Lance's foot however got trapped.

"PIDGE!!" She turned her head, slowing down slightly, her eyes wide as she saw her best friend and his tiny family freeze.

"LANCE! NO!" But she had to move on. She gritted her teeth and accelerated. The Tweedles, Shiro, Keith, Coran and Hunk with the tiny second in hand were cornered.

"Goodbye, brother." Said Dee, taking Dums hand.

"Brother, goodbye." Dum answered back.

"I have cherished every moment with all of you." Shiro admitted. Cheshire finally let himself be seen, floating around Shiro and Coran. Soon they were all being frozen. Cheshire sighed.

"Time's up." The cat said, grinning sadly, as he tried to disappear but the rust still reached him.

"Oh, she's not going to make it! She needs more time, sir!" Wilkins yelled.

"I have not ticked my last tock, yet!" He put his finger on the clock in his chest and the rust stopped for a brief second, enough for Pidge to jump and escape it. But the rust reached Wilkins and Time instead.

"It appears... that my invincible machine... is in fact... vincible." Pidge rushed, parkouring over cogs and pieces. And just as she was about to put down the Chronosphere, her foot got caught. She stretched as much as she could, but then everything froze.

It was over.

....

wait....

....

but what is that?

....

wait a second, what even is happening??

A tiny electricity zap between the Chronosphere and the stand.

And again...

and again...

The Chronosphere was pulled on the stand, the zap sending rust flying slowly, but it sent Pidge flying onto the floor, rolling. She wheezed and turned on her side. Wilkins and Time wheezed as well as the rust was falling off. The rust on Lance fell off. Both him and his family unfreezing.

"I knew My Pidgey could do it..." He said as he panted.

The rust on the grand clock fell, as it magically fixed itself, letting the hour turn into minutes, then into seconds. Time finally regained proper consciousness and looked around, confused.

"Did I miss anything?" He asked.

The whole group screamed as they toppled forward when they unfroze. Cheshire chuckled.

"Average Pidge." Everyone froze for a second.

"PIDGE!" They all fought to untangled themselves. Haggar and Allura unfroze. Haggar looked around in shock. She looked at her hand than at the Chronosphere.

"Why does this always happen to me?" Haggar yelled. Allura walked after Haggar as she left.

"Why does no one love me?" Haggar asked.

"I love you, Honerva." The Galran snarled.

"No, you don't! This is all your fault!"

"I know. I ate the tarts and I lied about it. I should have just told the truth... and none of this would have ever happened. I'm so sorry. If it's not too late... Please forgive me." Haggar turned around in shock.

"That's all I ever wanted to hear. Really, it was." The two hugged.

"Your majesty..." Lance said. Allura turned while Haggar quirked a brow.

"I do beg pardon for any intrusion. My family finds themselves... in somewhat awkward circumstances." Allura's eyes widened as she looked at the ant-house and at the McLains.

"Of course." Then Allura turned. Haggar shrugged.

"I always liked tiny things." She admitted. Lance sighed. Allura gave Lance a cake, it said 'Eat me' on it. Lance thanked her and gave the cake to his family. Lance's family grew and grew and Lance's eyes widened. His grandfather spoke first.

"Outstanding, my boy. Well done." Lance almost sobbed.

"Oh, my family. My dear family. Mama!" Lance threw himself in his mother's arms. The woman cried.

"Abuelo...You kept my blue hat. I make hats, Abuelo. I'm a hatter." His grandfather smiled.

"I always knew you were, mi hijo." The two hugged. Then there was a big family hug, the two kids jumping on Lance's back. Lance wheezed.

"Umm...Lance? I don't mean to alarm you but...I think we should get to that gear...." Allura said. Lance quirked a brow and turned towards where Allura was pointing. He froze and his heart sunk. The whole group was gathered around Pidge who didn't seem to get up. Lance groaned.

"WHY DO YOU ALWAYS DO THIS! DAMMIT PIDGE!!" Lance took off running as fast as he could. Lance's mother quirked a brow at Allura. The princess sighed.

"These two have been circling each other like idiots." Lance's mother laughed while Lance's grandfather's eyes widened.

Lance slid on his knees next to Shiro and Keith.

"What happened??" Lance asked, panting.

"Easy there, loverboy. I just broke a rib and can't get up too fast." Pidge said, her voice a bit hoarse from the impact with the floor. Shay, who just got here, was coming to greet Hunk. Then she saw Pidge.

"Ouch...That will leave a bruise." Pidge made the peace sign towards Shay. She then finally got up. Lance hugged Pidge and she wheezed.

"Thank you...Thank you thank you thank you..." She smiled and then, with the corner of her eye, she spotted Time.

"Um...I'll be right back." Pidge, slowly got up and then started walking after Time. He found him in the Underland Living. The clocks and the sunrise were just as beautiful as the first time.

"I know you tried to warn me... but I didn't listen. I'm sorry. You see, I used to think Time was a thief... stealing everything I loved. But, I... I see now that you give before you take... and every day is a gift. Every hour, every minute, every second." She took out her father's clock and handed it to him.

"Ah... the fallen soldier. I suppose you want me to fix it." Pidge smiled and shook her head.

"He used to say the only thing worth doing... was what we do for others. I think he would have liked you." Pidge said, shrugging slightly, as Time took the watch and looked at it, smiling.

"Tis said, that time is a friend to no man... but I will remember you always. And please... do not come back." Time said. Pidge snorted.

"I'll bring cookies??" Time stopped and narrowed his eyes.

"Come as much as you like, but no Chronosphere." Pidge laughed.

"No promises." Time shook his head and looked at the watch again. What a strange girl.

Pidge walked, out smiling. Lance noticed her.

"Pidge! you simply must come and meet my family. I mean, after all... you are the very person who saved them, aren't you?" Lance said. Pidge laughed.

"Lance." She said.

"But of course, I always knew my Pidgey could do it. I mean, if nobody else could do it of course it was you--"

"Lance." She said again.

"And you already saved Underland twice so I'm sure my family would love to meet you, not to mention my niece and nephew and--"

"Lance!" Pidge said grabbing his face. He froze. Pidge sighed.

"Just fucking kiss me already, McLain." Lance's eyes widened but he didn't comment as they both closed the distance. Keith groaned somewhere in the background.

"Finally." Shiro smacked him over the head and pulled him away from the sight. Lance blinked once or twice and then shook his head.

"Pinch me..." Lance breathed out. Pidge smacked him over the head.

"Ow!" He said, narrowing his eyes.

"THAT'S FOR WORRYING ME! HOW COULD YOU LET YOURSELF GET CAUGHT BY THAT?!" Lance scoffed.

"WELL EXCUSE ME BUT YOU GOT CAUGHT TOO! AND YOU BROKE A RIB!" Pidge and Lance narrowed their eyes at each other before laughing. Then's Pidge's smile dropped as she looked at a mirror. Lance looked at the mirror and saddened.

"But, of course, you have a family of your own... don't you? Very important thing, a family. You only get one." Lance's eyes then widened for a reason and he looked at his family. His family laughed and nodded.

"Welp, off you go." Pidge's eyes widened.

"What??" Lance waved his hand.

"You have to leave and all that stuff yada yada. We won't see each other again. We're both sad." Pidge frowned, suspicious of his behavior. He tried to push her in the mirror but Pidge didn't budge.

"Wait! Wait!!" Lance chuckled and smiled.

"Pidge...do you trust me?" Pidge narrowed her eyes.

"Yessss....why?" He smiled.

"Then don't stop now, Pidge. We'll see each other again, ok? You did it, Pidge. An impossible thing."

"Not as impossible as saying goodbye to you, I'm afraid." Lance snorted.

"Don't worry. It's not a goodbye. It's a see you later." Pidge quirked a brow.

"See you later, Pidge..." Pidge smiled.

"See ya, Lance..." Lance smirked.

"See you on the other side." Pidge's eyes widened.

"Wait--" He pushed her in the mirror.

"Now, please. The deed to your husband's ship. Just sign here... and the house is yours." Colleen looked at the pen in Lotor's hand with hurt in her eyes. She slowly took it and looked around.

"Mr. Harcourt, time is money." Lotor yelled at the servant boy that Pidge and Colleen met so much. He sighed and put down the paper.

"I'm afraid he most certainly, is not." Pidge said from the doorway of the study. Colleen's eyes widened and Harcourt smirked.

"Pidge!" Colleen said, moved by the fact her daughter way here. Pidge straightened her suit's vest.

"Time is many things, Lotor, but he isn't money. Nor is he our enemy, mother." Lotor's mouth hanged agape as Pidge slowly walked into the room, her boots heavy. Lotor's mother and wife both looked at each other in shock.

"Where did you come from?" Lotor asked. Pidge smirked and wiggled her hands.

"I walked right through the walls." She then made an explosion with her hands and a 'poof' sound with her mouth. The boy snorted. Pidge then turned to her mother.

"I may not be able to change the past, but I can learn from it. Sign the papers, mother." Colleen's eyes widened.

"You want me to sign them?" Pidge sighed and took the pen, handing it to her. Lotor and his mother exchanged a happy look.

"It's just a ship. There's always another. But you are my mother, and I only have one." Pidge said, smiling warmly.

"So, you've decided to be a clerk? I knew that you would. Headstrong, or not." Lotor said, mocking Pidge. Lotor and his wife started laughing. She turned with a death glare. Colleen then slammed the pen on the table. Lotor froze.

"You're not a nice man, Lotor. I'm glad my daughter didn't marry you." Pidge smirked as Colleen reached for the paper. Lotor's eyes widened.

"Mrs. Holt?" Colleen grabbed the paper and ripped it in two. Pidge's smiled, her eyes wide in awe.

"No, you can't! You can't! You can't!" Lotor whined.

"Pidge can do whatever Pidge chooses." Her mother said.

"And so can I." Colleen then added as she took her stuff. She then grabbed Pidge's hand, who was beaming at her mother.

"Good day!" Lotor whined.

"Noooo! No no no no no! Who will hire you?!" Lotor yelled. Pidge and Colleen stopped. They turned to argue but-

"I will, thank you very much, Lord Ascot." Pidge's eyes widened.

"Mr. McLain?" Pidge asked in shock. Lotor turned towards the man with wide eyes.

"L-Lord McLain? W-What are you doing here??" The man scoffed.

"I am back after such a long time and decided that...well...My grandson and I should pay a visit. However...This behavior is outrageous! What would you father think?!" Pidge's eyes widened.

"Lance is here??" She breathed out. The man winked at Pidge.

"Ms. Holt. I believe you are a captain, am i correct?" Pidge puffed her chest up and saluted.

"Have been 3 years at sea, sir!" The man nodded.

"Enough experience to be qualified to be in my business." Lotor's jaw hung open.

"B-But...But I wanted a job there too!"

"Then quit whining. Cállate!" Pidge froze dead in her spot her eyes wide.

"Lance!" She said as she turned around to see Lance.

"Am I late?" He asks smirking.

"You little--"

"Well, Miss Holt? What do you say?"

"Absolutely...But I do have a condition."

Pidge stood over her map, looking at the places she already explored. She took out her pocket-watch and looked at it. Oh boy. In 3...2...1...

"Oh Pidgeyyyyy~" Pidge chuckled.

"You're late, Tailor." Lance slid in the room and smiled.

"Oh come on, Hermosa. I was just 10 minutes late." Pidge huffed and started chuckling.

"You, Lance McLain, are one mess of a kind." Lance smiled.

"Awww~ You think I'm unique~" She pushed past him and the two of them exited the building. In the port, they were building Mr. McLain's new quarters for his business. Apparently, the McLains also had a life out of Underland. Pidge joined hands with her mother who smiled.

"We'll run the Ascots out of business, in a year." Pidge and Lance both snorted.

"Mother!" The woman laughed.

"A full cargo aboard, captain." A crewmate from Pidge's old crew yelled. Pidge smiled.

"I'll be there in a minute. It seems the young McLain has something stuck on his tongue." Colleen got on the ship and Lance and Pidge stood in the port.

"Uhh...Miss Holt." Pidge smirked.

"Lance." He quirked a brow.

"Absolem is on your shoulder." Lance flushed.

"Ah- that old son of a--" Lance gently picked Absolem up and shooed him.

"Ahem... Miss Holt...will you be my wife?" Pidge burst out into laughter, making Lance rethink his decision.

"You even had to ask?" Lance beamed as the two kissed and the crew cheered. Then they both got on board.

"Captain on board. Full sail. Time to go." The crew yelled. Absolem watched the boat sail out of port and sighed.

"That's our duo, alright."

And they lived happily ever after
