Chapter Text
The soft drip-drip of the shower leaking into the bathtub filled the room. The steam and the fragnance of lavender was thick in the air, forming condensation on the glass as Enid undressed near the door, hanging her clothes on the hooks gingerly.
If she was in any better health, Wednesday would be clutching the side of the tub farthest from Enid, trying a little too hard to act natural while looking away. But with her spinning head, all she could do was switch between staring directly at her or at points on the wall.
Her head was too thoroughly empty to have any impure thoughts, there was only impatience. Unfortunately, that is something Enid was not aware of. Only when she realized the pink on her skin as not from the heat of the bathroom did Wednesday quickly turn her head away.
Soon, she heard the soft sounds of Enid's bare feet against the bathroom floor heading towards the bathtub, her fuzzy shadow casted over the bubbling bathtub.
Arms crossed over her chest, Enid paused in front of the bathtub. Silently thankful toward the raven for looking away when she realized. She raised her leg, stepped into the tub and slowly sunk into the bathtub, sighing in relief and comfort of the hotbwater. The water looked nice, darkly colored the way her roommate hopefully likes it, and bubbly, the way Enid likes it.
She admired the raven in front of her, still turned to the left with her eyes tightly screwed shut. The water and bubbles concealed her chest thanks to her short frame, Her open hair flowed like ink down her scalp and into the water, she looked sharp, crisp and beautiful, droplets glittering on her eyelashes and feathers. The trance broke when she sneezed loudly. And desperately wiped at her face to remove the embarrassing snot. It's best to get her washed quickly before the water gets cold, they get no more hot water after 10 pm after all.
"You can look now."
Wednesday slowly turned towards her. Despite the exhaustion in her eyes, Enid could clearly see her eyes widen when she looked back at her. The droplets on her eyelashes glittered as she blinked, actually blinked in front of Enid.
Wednesday's eyes glanced over the wet golden hair, almost hypnotized in her feverish haze.
"Why must you resemble a wet golden retriever" She grumbled.
Enid let out a laugh in surprise, the abruptness getting to her.
Thinking she was being laughed at, Wednesday pouted. Swear to god pouted, eyebrows furrowed like a petulant child. "I will skin you alive!"
Enid attempted to stop herself but couldn't prevent a giggle from escaping.
"Enough! Do what you are here for!" A black loofah was suddenly shoved into her hand. "Wash me!"
Enid, trying to hold back her grin, grabbed it and gave her a salute. Dutifully, she began washing her, having had a ton of practice from her siblings as Wednesday went into what looked like the human equivalent of the battery saving mode, eyes closed, barely sitting up. This whole situation felt odd to her, the fact that her rather intimate touch was not being violently rejected, in fact explicitly requested, and she couldnt ignore how the raven was leaning into her hands, especially when she began by cleaning her face.
Other than being a bit more careful about the chest and hips, Enid was quickly done with her, and got ready to do her back, about to stand up to get out of thr tub and walk behind her when she felt a hand on her shoulder.
Wednesday was looking at her with extremely uncharacteristic glassy eyes, like she was leaving to stab her in the back, like she had committed the worst act of betrayal.
Confused, Enid sat back down, and immediately the raven shifted forward, splashing the water a bit. Enid felt her intertwine their legs, place her chin onto her shoulder, then her arm on her back to steady herself. A blush creeped up her neck, feeling her roommate's skin and bare chest against her's,
Then, almost immediately,
The seer was out like a light.
The wolf felt the raven's breathing deepen, the tension leave her body and sighing.
She is really, really going to miss this side of her.
Enid took this opportunity to wash her back as the seer napped on her shoulder, gently scrubbing near her neck, waist and around where her wings attached to the body, never soaping the feathers because that's not healthy for them.
She gently reached across and grabbed the shower, rinsing off the soap before finally getting to the shampoo. Normally, she would do this part first but who was she to deny her raven's demand. It once again took a bit of effort to reach with her roommate on her shoulder, but she soon managed it grab it and poured a small portion into her palm. Gently, she began massaging it into the scalp and the silky black locks. Wednesday seemed to approve of the action in her sleep, nuzzling further into her neck.
Soon, the shampoo was rinsed, aswell as the conditioner. She contemplated waking up Wednesday to move to her bed until she heard a whine when she tried to adjust herself.
The water's still a bit warm, waking up can wait.the rain's drumming was soothing.
Enid gave her five more minutes of sleep, basking in the intimacy.
