Communities. The simplest and most organized form of life for any kind of creature, you name it: birds, mammals, aquatic organisms… And these thrive wherever food is plentiful, wherever prosperous, and wherever it's far from outsiders or even potential enemies in any sense.
This one in particular is...something rarely seen across the seas. And had a hanfull of all types of creatures you could imagine gathered in a small cave, surrounded by a tiny, but aparently welcoming new comunitty, maybe as a small twist of fate, or a mere coincidence.

Meanwhile, in another space and time, a young man is plagued by nightmares of a beloved woman standing on a hill, watching helpless as the most horrifying moon he's ever seen collides with her world. Is there more to these dreams than a materialization of his grief?

Link is not a traveler visiting Termina, but rather a resident. He had been there since the beginning, grew up with Kafei, Anju, and Cremia, and lived alongside Cremia and her sister at the ranch. Life is going well for him, especially with the Carnival of Time around the corner, but on his way back from Clock Town he encounters a strange cave with an even stranger sword inside - a double helix blade possessed by a spirit that beacons him for help. Link has never been one to turn down someone in need of help, and agrees.

Summary
Link comes across an unconscious Kafei just minutes before Termina's destruction. This anachronism disrupts the flow of time and its preceding events. Kafei had no purpose to be at Clock Tower the third night, or so Link thought, while Kafei believes he's seen the Hero before. Mayor Dotour's son cannot recall his memories of him.
They're left to pick up the pieces. In the end, Link attains an understanding of "grown-up" matters after all. (Link/Kafei) (Kafei/Anju)
