After Alex, Julia, Conrad, Fliss and Brad got off the ship and went to jail, the mysterious Kate Wilder and the even more mysterious Christopher Hartley come to their aid. After exchanging news, the guys come to a common opinion that the mysterious fog and sinister monsters are somehow connected.

And what if it doesn't?
* all canon events are taken, except for the year of Until Dawn happening (2014 is indicated in the official sources, while everything happened in 2008 for me) and Little Hope (2000 instead of 2020).
** at the time of the beginning of the fan fiction, Devil in Me has not yet been released. I tried to fit Kate Wilder organically, without reference to time, but with reference to the events at the Henry Holmes Hotel.

Summary
At the end of the school year, a group of friends and family take a trip to the French Polynesia Islands. A way to reconnect and de-stress from what the year threw at them. Each one went on the trip with their own hopes and desires for the vacation. Through a series of events, the vacation takes a turn. Relationships are tested, deep secrets are revealed, and hard truths are realized. A fun journey turns into a fight for survival as this group uncovers a dark mystery and themselves while lost at sea.
A retelling of the video game The Man of Medan. This story has another character added into the group of main characters. It also explores what if there was a different factor that influenced what occurred on the Ourang Medan. While the first act of the story has minor changes, once characters reach the ship there is a dramatic turn. No chemical bio weapon.
