Summary
Distantly, as if through bulletproof glass, she hears the sound of rushing water. She’s standing in front of the shower, watching his brow etched in concentration, watching as he sticks his hand into the water and almost comes out cursing. He makes a few adjustments before he looks back at her, brows furrowed.
“Okay, Sapulpa,” he murmurs. He taps her shirt gently. “Up you go.”
She registers distantly that he’s helping her undress as she pulls her sweater over her head. There are bruises from her fall all over her right side, her skin turning a purplish color.
His jaw ticks, but he says nothing, his eyes glancing from the bruises quickly away. He meets her eyes. “There you go. Think you can manage the rest?”
She nods, too tired to protest and too far gone to blush.
If he had asked her any other day…
“Good. Guess I’ll uh…” Tyler scratches behind his neck, turning around to walk out the door.
“Ty?”
It’s the first thing she’s said in five minutes.
He turns around. “Yeah?”
“Thank you.”
His eyes soften. “Anytime, Sapulpa.”
He turns around again, but this time, he doesn’t try to leave.
She thinks she might fall apart if he did. -

They’d unraveled him more and learned this could even be simple things like haircuts and shaving. Javi insisted it wasn’t as abusive as they made it sound, but Kate and Tyler were still very set in their opinion that they did not like the man’s ex.”

“I know.” Boone agrees, his shoulders sinking as he steps into her personal space. “It hurts to see. I know. But please, don’t leave me alone.”
“Come ride with me in Lily’s car.” Maggie says instead, “I-.”
Boone smiles, a resolute but calm smile, and leans forwards, pressing his forehead into hers. Maggie lets him, sliding her eyes shut when he does. They stand like that for just a few moments, before Boone pulls away and presses a sloppy kiss onto her lips.
“I can’t not ride with Ty. I’ll see you anytime we stop, alright?

He reads to you, tells you about the day to day happenings. He comes by every day or every other day and you wonder who this guy is. When you finally open your eyes, you’re met with a smile from the handsome stranger who calls himself Tyler Owens. You’re happy to be alive but you hold resentment towards Kate. Could the one week she’s here from New York be enough to repair the damaged friendship?

“No.” Tyler speaks beside her, his voice hard. His eyes are narrowed and his body is set in tense lines. He folds his arms over his chest, one hand hovering out expectantly. “He’s still drunk. Give me the keys.”

Also I feel like I never informed you guys, but my special interest has been Twisters since september of last year, but I didn’t include it in kinktober for some reason. Top Gun is more recent, it was the end of june when I watched TGM.
